  • Hi Ruchy! An address change in Moz Local will be a separate purchase as we need to claim the new location with our partners. Each physical location is its own listing subscription. Do you have an existing location in Moz Local? If so please send us an email at help @ moz.com so we can review your listing and walk you through the process as there is a very specific way to submit a new location and close the status of the old one.

  • Hey there! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So it looks like there are a couple of problems here - one is that Javascript is used on the page, and if the link follows the Javascript (which we aren't compatible with), this might be tripping us up. That said, it's more likely the formatting of the link that is preventing us from reading it accurately: http://www.screencast.com/t/6qP2w8WDoWY - it looks to be more like some kind of email redirect rather than a typical link, so in this case, it looks like an issue primarily with the formatting of the link in general that's preventing us from picking it up as a follow/no follow. I hope this helps - let us know if we can help with anything else!

  • Hey there! This will be a lot easier to troubleshoot if we can look at the same thing you're seeing. Please write in to help@moz.com with the details of what you're seeing, and we'll do our best to sort things out for ya!

  • Hi there! Sorry for the trouble. Moz Local's validation system still uses Google Places, not GMB directly. Each location must be verified in Google Places (most easily checked on Google Maps) for Moz Local validate the NAP details. GMB locations are not public-facing, they have details that only you as the owner/manager can see. So until any new changes are verified on Google Maps, they aren't detectable by Moz Local's validation system. If you're still not sure why your location is not detectable as a validation source, check out the requirements as listed on this page: https://moz.com/help/guides/local/listing#frequently-asked-questions If you're still unsure, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com and we can take a look!

  • Hi there! Unfortunately, from my experience I've found that if you purchase a listing that does not have the correct GMB profile AND Facebook page selected, it's impossible to get Moz to recognize the correct page. Location details in Moz Local will be pushed to Facebook, but not the other way around—so if the listing you purchased is pulling the wrong page from the start, it seems like it's stuck that way. You could try emailing help@moz.com to see if there is a way for them to manually switch this out for you.

  • Hi there, Lisa from the Moz help team here! Sorry for the confusion about this! There's no set amount of time that it takes for us to find your new listings. We're generally waiting for the address to be confirmed by Google/Facebook and for them to add the listing to their API. In some cases, though, there are other elements that prevent us from finding these sources. With your Facebook and Google Maps listings, you do seem to have hidden the address. This means that it is not shown to us so that we can find the listing and match it to Moz Local. We use your Facebook and Google Maps listings to verify the address, which means it does need to be visible.

  • Thanks, Kevin. I think I figured it out. This is a brand new business so there are not listings anywhere, including Foursquare. So I created the Foursquare yesterday and I assume it will be found and then I will have to claim it. I am still learning what bits moz creates and what bits it just keeps track of. Thanks for your response.

  • Hi there! Sorry for the trouble you're having with local listing updates. Generally we expect our directory partners to update their listing information within 8-12 weeks, but if you're not seeing movement in that time I would recommend reaching out to use at help@moz.com with your listing details. We can take a closer look at those partners and determine why they may not be updating. Thanks!

  • Hi there! There's nothing wrong with your listing - we're just currently unable to contact Bing and YP for listing details. This is happening for all listings. There's nothing much we can do to fix it from our end—we're working with those sites to establish a better data connection so that we can update Moz Local with their data accordingly. If you hover over that exclamation point, it'll give a brief explanation. Sorry there's not more I can do to help you out, though! If you have any further questions, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to take care of it for ya!

  • Thanks for the reply Tawney, I will send an email to help@ because there are some issues to do with Facebook, eg when editing the address for the business on the Facebook page, the city name does not come up, so I can't get the Facebook NAP details to exactly match the Moz Local address (the latter is correct). regards, Maureen

  • Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. Could you provide links to both your Facebook and Google pages so we can take a look into why our system may not be seeing them as verified? It may be easier to chat with us by emailing help@moz.com, if you prefer. Otherwise I'll be happy to take a closer look upon your response here. Thank you! -Kristina

  • Sorry for any confusion about that. Yes, that page is incorrectly showing the American partners for Canada. We do still use Google and Facebook as verification sources, but our Canadian distribution partners are currently: Bing Factual Foursquare Hotfrog I hope that clarifies things!

  • Hi there Cory, It's possible that we've lost our connection to your Facebook page or it could just be a display issue. We'll need to do a little more digging to find out what's happening. Please can you email help@moz.com with a few more details - the name, address & phone number of the listing and the URL of the Facebook page - and we'll look into this further for you.
