Moz Local Update Info
Update from the Moz Support Team: Please read our update timeframes guide for avoiding delay. Hey there, Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. Moz Local is a real-time service that instantly distributes your business listing data to both data aggregators and online directories. Each of our distribution partners has their own approach for processing new and updated listings on their platform. As part of our active listing management process, we continuously verify the accuracy of each listing down to the Name, Address, Phone Number and URL across our entire partner network. We don't consider your listing to be completely accurate until a customer would find it that way. For most partners, new data is published within 4-5 days, and the majority becomes fully accurate within a few weeks. Given how closely we track accuracy, we have seen instances where some listings have taken as much as 8-12 weeks to become fully accurate. If you're noticing an unusual delay, please let us know at help@moz.com so we can take a look at your account and see if there is anything causing the delay. If you claim a listing on a third-party site that isn't one of our direct partners, it's up to their system to determine how long it will take for your business information to become accurate there. You'll need to work with that third-party site directly. Moz Local should sync that info for you automatically, as long as it's one of our partners! Here is a full list of the partners that are currently supported for US business listings: Infogroup Acxiom Neustar/Localeze Factual Foursquare Superpages (1st Tier) Best of the Web (2nd Tier) Citysearch CityGrid Insiderpages Hotfrog Bing Apple HERE TomTom NavMii We focus on top-tier data aggregators with the idea that your data will naturally trickle down throughout the local search ecosystem. And you can see the big picture of the Local Ecosystem here: https://moz.com/learn/local/local-search-data-us If there's anything else you need, just let us know — feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com. How Can We Get Listed On Acxiom?
Hi Alan! We submit your listing data to all listing partners at the moment a purchase completes. It can take 8-12 weeks (3 months) for each one to process our submissions. Hope this helps!

Setting up Moz Account for a franchise with no physical locations
Hey there! You may have a few different options. It's hard to know exactly how this site is set up without more details - for example, does each location have its own subfolder or subdomain? - but depending on what the structure of the site looks like you may be able to make individual campaigns. If that is not an option, you may find more success making campaigns for the overall site and simply tracking keywords in localized geographies, and choose competitors based on those specific locales. If you have further questions feel free to email us at help@moz.com with the site details!

How to Sync Hot Frog with Moz Listing score
Hi there! Sorry for any confusion about this. The score within your listing report is representative of what our system observes at this exact moment. So, it is a snapshot in time of how your listing distribution looks. This means that if, for example, one of our partners had an API outage at the time which caused them to be unable to report your listing's status to us, then that listing would appear as blank within your listing report and be reflected as such in the snapshot score. If you are managing a location through a Moz Local subscription, our ability to detect a given listing does not affect our listing submission service. We're constantly listening to our partner networks to detect those best matches, and as soon as we are able to find it the listing report will reflect that. Generally, if you know you have a listing on a particular site, you don't need to worry about what is detectable. If this is not a managed listing through Moz Local, you will want to make sure that your Hotfrog listing exactly matches what appears in the listing report. That will give you the best chance of being found! Please let us know if you have any other questions! You can also reach out to us at help@moz.com if you would like help digging further into your account.

How do i update my mirror and sun listing?
David's (other David!) response definitely works for Moz customers. I'm not sure if you were asking about this a Moz Local user or if you were going at it on your own. If the latter, have you considered managing your listing on services that feed into these directories? For Mirror, if you look at the footer on their website, you'll see that they cite Central Index as the source of their business data: Powered by web.com. Business data Central Index and third parties. You can review the full suite of their network partners on their Publishers page. Regarding Sun, you might look to Scoot as they mention Sun among their network of business directories. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to what experience you may find creating an account, finding, and managing your listings. The best I can offer is my understanding that they are all related to each other.

Any update on whether MozLocal is coming to Australia or anywhere else?

How long does it take for the MOZ Local to update?
It does work for single location as it is a cheaper option. So if you were to build your listing manually on the same directories we submit data to, it would cost more. Unless you are using Yext, automated submission tools rely on standard data propagation for each directory to process data. It is known not to be quick process as each directory ingests data at different times/schedules. if you don't have the time or budget to manually manage your listings, Moz Local would be a quick solution and cheaper solution for data submission. If you have the time and budget for manual management, it takes longer to claim/verify, then submit the data, however it will be quicker to update than waiting for data propagation.

Effect of Moz Local
Hey there, Sam from Moz's Help Team here! Thanks so much for reaching out! So, in terms of the scores overall - we don't do a very good job of explaining what success looks like with Moz Local, and I apologize for the lack of clarity. When a particular location's Listing & Accuracy scores are sitting above 85%, that location's consistency is incredibly strong! The difference between an Accuracy score of, say, 94 and 100 is basically an imperceptible increase in terms of the SEO benefit. Now the difference between 65 versus 85 has a colossal impact, undoubtably, but scores going above 85% are _slam dunking _on their Local listing consistency already. In those cases, making it up to 100 would have little added effect. Regarding the ranking - the thing to note here is that it is not only listing accuracy that has an impact. There are a number of factors to take into consideration - I'd recommend reviewing this resource we have on Local Search Ranking factors: https://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors as well as this super helpful blog post: https://moz.com/blog/local-seo-ranking-your-local-business-in-2017 In terms of certain sections of the tool showing you incomplete data - I'd love to dig into this further for you! Could you please pop a message over to help@moz.com along with the name, address and phone number of the listing you're referring to, so we can investigate this further for you and just ensure that everything is running smoothly?

We have a client moving office locations in a month. When should we submit new address in Moz Local to the data providers?
Thank you for the feedback. I will email them tonight.

Business located inside hotel showing as "Duplicate"
This is correct. Also it will be important that the bar is listed completely independent from the hotel name, just as if it was in its own building across the street. The directories we submit do not support containing location identifiers. How it is currently listed on Google as no impact as long as the business name and local phone number is unique. Hope this helps!
