  • Hi there, Thanks so much for reaching out - Sam from Moz's Help Team here! I hate to be the bearer of bad news - I'm afraid that because Wix creates websites entirely with javascript this is an issue for our crawler and for SEO in general, so this is definitely the problem:(. This is a thread on our Q&A which talks about this issue: https://moz.com/community/q/negative-references-to-javascript-in-beginners-guide-to-seo-chapter-4#reply_330533 If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this and we'll have a really hard time crawling in general, because our crawler functions by following html links. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools:(. While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine. You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog. I'm really sorry I can't be of more help here; I'll definitely be sure to pass this along to our Product team as feedback on your behalf. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with, or if there are any follow-up questions you might have!

  • Hi there Andy, Thanks so much for writing in to us - Sam from Moz's Help Team here! I think the issue here is this - it's worth nothing that MozBar displays Total links (internal and external links), so if you're seeing a large amount of links and 0 RDs I would recommend checking the Link Explorer Compare Link Profiles tab to see a breakdown of the results.  https://moz.com/help/guides/link-explorer/compare-link-profiles In this case you'll see that for instance for the page with 6 links from 0 RDs, the 6 links are internal links. The link analysis will show you results for that specific page - in the compare link profiles section you can see for the 936 page links/4 RDs, that is the set of total links. The 141 links would be links pointing just to that page. I hope this helps but do let me know if I can help with anything else!

  • IF the webmaster has everything set correctly, you should use http. If you use https and it's not secure it's broken, they should have http and www. all pointing to the secured version KJr

  • Hello! I can answer this from a Google / SEO perspective (a non-moz tool perspective). First you want to be sure the secure subdomain content is not indexed. If the secure subdomain is NOT indexed, leave the robotos.txt crawl blocking in place. You don't want and don't need Google crawling secure pages and payment pages. Just be sure they truly all are private pages. If they are NOT indxed, the crawl block is best - this will prevent google from crawling, and if they can't crawl they can't index. If the secure pages ARE indexed remove the robots.txt crawl block. Add meta noindex on all the pages Wait for them to be noindexed (removed from google) Then, block them from being crawled with robots.txt - which will prevent them from being crawled, and thus prevent them from being indexed as well.

  • I recommended to another Moz agent that it put a clearer warning label to users that Moz Pro's on-page grader and site crawl will not work with single page apps. Alternatively, I'd have a pop-up if the Moz tools run and come up with results like the ones the poster described. I ran into the same issue.

  • Hey, Dave from the Help Team here! Its really up to you how you want to structure your campaigns and by no means would be doing something wrong if you had multiple campaigns for different areas of your website.  This is a common practice for Moz Pro users who want to have separate reporting.  My recommendation would be to at least use one campaign slot to track the entire site, then use the other ones to have your more targeted campaign reports.  Hopefully that helps!

  • Got it. I think I'll have to spread my wings and fly--I'll try it out and see what kind of reporting I get. Thanks for all your help.

  • Thanks so much for the follow up question! I don’t have a specific frequency or timeline I can provide however, you can use Mozcast (http://mozcast.com/) as a resource to help determine how turbulent Google SERPS are for any given day. As far as changing your keywords in your Campaign, that would really be up to your discretion. Keep in mind though, that any time you add keywords to your Campaign, data won’t populate for those keywords until the following Campaign update.  If you add or remove keywords between each update, you may see significant fluctuations in your Search Visibility, too.

  • Hi there! Sam from Moz's Help Team here - sorry about any confusion! Your credit card will not be charged at any point during your 30-day trial, but we do perform a $1 authorization on your account to ensure your credit card is valid, which is then immediately voided. After your 30-day trial, you will be charged each month thereafter. If you decide that Moz isn't for you, you can cancel anytime, both during and after your trial. I hope this helps to explain - do let me know if you have any follow up questions!

  • Hey, Dave here from the Help Team! Its hard to determine why the crawler might be stopping at page one without specifying the domain that you are trying to track.  Can you email us at help@moz.com so we can dig into the issue? thanks!

  • I know this is an old thread, but we are still having the same problem.  I finally got around to sending a note to flywheel about this problem and it came back that everything is fine.  I am not sure what to do here?  It's on a shared hosted, so I don't have console\audit log access, however Flywheel is one of the best wordpress hosting companies out there (only thing they do). As far as accessing the robots.txt file, I can go directly to it without any problems? https://southernil.com/robots.txt

  • Hey Tom, Dave here from the Help team! How you setup these campaigns is really up to the preferences of how filtered you want your reports to be.  If you decide the track specific subfolders as campaigns, you will also want to make sure that you still track the entire domain of staypineapple.com to incorporate all the other elements of the site.  Hopefully that helps to clarify, let us know if you need anything else!
