Get up and running with the Moz tools.

  • Yes, Abe was right. I assumed that the non www. version was already 301.(I mean come on who doesn't do that) but it wasn't. Lesson learned... Don't make assumptions!

  • Welcome to Moz! Have you checked out http://moz.com/help/pro/on-page-reports? That can help answer some of your questions. How We Generate Reports The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results. For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated. Also, don't forget that you can always manually generate reports for any URL and one of your keywords. Simply go to the Report Card tab in the On-Page section, and cut and paste or type a new URL into the URL drop box. Then select your keyword from the drop down and select "Grade My Optimization." After that, you can tell the Web App to start tracking that combination in the future, and you should start seeing weekly reports. I hope this helps!

  • Thx Joel, But my question is still not answered that why or how these can be different if they are crawling for the same site. Rgds Jassi

  • We do not offer information regarding traffic to a competitor.

  • I see the Keyword tool, but it really acts differently than the one I'm used to in Hubspot. I did not thumbs up your answer because I really didn't get the response I was hoping for... I've dumped in my words, but I don't see where we rank for these terms, nor do I see how I can modify descriptors for lower volumes of traffic when the we're focusing on more local and regional traffic rankings, especially in the situation when local searches for those terms are low volume. Do we just remove the local descriptor and assume local traffic would be relatively porportionate to national rankings for those terms? It's not as easy to use as Hubspot, and it's a bummer to not get that for what this costs per month.

  • Hey Scott, Thanks for the question. Can you do me a favor and send over the information you're trying to enter to help@moz.com. I've not had any other reports of this so we'll definitely want to investigate this for you. As far as creating a campaign in Pro, I would advise against that. Typically when the campaign can't be created in Analytics it's because of some sort of a conflict or deeper issue that should be addressed. Thanks! Joel.

  • Hi Rebecca What are the crawl errors exactly? From that report screenshot it looks like you have a variety of them, so the fixes will all be different. Let me know, and in the meantime you might want to check out my article on Moz about setting up WordPress -Dan

  • I'll pass that suggestion along. Currently, there are other providers to help with this, such as copyscape.

  • Hey Lauren, Thanks for writing in. Have you tried reauthorizing the connection to Facebook on your campaign? You will most likely need to log into the Facebook account that you originally used to authorize the connection (if more than one account has admin access to the page) and then reauthorize the connection to Facebook. If that does not correct the error, please email us at help@moz.com so we can look into this further for you. Chiaryn

  • Hi Randy, I wouldn't say that the crawl reports are a waste of time, but you probably don't need to be going over them in detail each time unless you've made major changes to the site. I think crawl reports go out once a week by default although you can turn this off by going to Campaign Settings > Email Notifications. Personally, I turn off notifications for crawl reports and just glance through it on Moz Analytics whenever I feel it's necessary - typically once a month just to make sure everything is looking good. The crawl report can be really helpful when you first sign up with Moz or build a new site. It will point out a lot of errors that you might have missed. Once you have those errors under control, you can just use it occasionally to make sure things haven't gotten messy again. Hope this helps! Tim

  • Keri. Not really looking for bottom, That's what lazy ppl do. I scanned trhough that "seo guide". Pretty solid. But I'd like to build relationships with great and worthy webmasters/bloggers. So thanks for the tip, I'm sure i could get all the info from "Open explorer".

  • Branded reports are available right now, and can be set up via campaign settings. Sorry for the confusion! We'll be updating the appropriate pages this week.

  • As Chris stated above, there is nothing currently in place to allow your clients to log in and see their data, they'll have to do with reports. As far as reports go, branded reports are on the horizon for Medium, Large, and Premium subscriptions!  https://moz.com/subscriptions

  • Hey There, Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. The campaign data can update either weekly or daily depending on the section. For example, rankings and crawl update once a week while social, mentions, and traffic data update daily. The link data updates anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on our index update which is not tied to the campaigns. I took a look at both of your campaigns and I am seeing that all of the sections that update daily that are set up for those campaigns do show an update for every day since the campaigns were created. It looks like both campaigns have traffic data connected and that dashboard defaults to the weekly timeframe, so you would just need to change the timeframe dropdown in order to see daily data there. For the first campaign you created, you have also connected social accounts and that section automatically defaults to daily metrics. As for they crawl and rankings sections, your first campaign is set to update by the end of the day Thursday, Dec 5th, and the second campaign should update by the end of the day Friday, Dec 6th. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Chiaryn

  • Thanks Peter! Much appreciated for opening the ticket. I just tried logging in now, and it happened again. So hopefully Moz fix the issue. Clearning cookies browser wide isn't an acceptable fix for me as I then lose my Google two-authentication cookies which is a pain.
