Get up and running with the Moz tools.

  • Hey there, Sorry no one from Moz got back to you yet. There's nothing in our system that will prevent you from logging in on different devices, even at the same time. This sounds like it's more of an issue of using incorrect passwords. What does it say when you try and login? Thanks, Joel.

  • Recognize that there are three major types of "bad" backlinks that you need to look for: sitewides over-optimized anchor text links from really stinky places Link Detox is great--I use it all the time to diagnose penalty issues.  BUT it only really helps with links from spammy domains--it won't help you spot over-optimized anchor text.  I use OSE's anchor text tab to do that. To spot sitewides, you'll probably want to download the entire backlink profile from OSE into a spreadsheet, then sort by domain, and look for massive blocks of links from the same domain.

  • Hi there! I'm going to go ahead and marks this as answered since we took care of this in the support queue. For any others that are curious though, You can always add allow/disallow directives for Roger in your robots.txt. I recommend taking a look at our Help Hub for more info Thanks! Sam Moz Helpster

  • Hi Jan Unfortunately, we currently don't have a way to export rankings with labels. I'm really sorry about that. I know this functionality would be helpful for other customers, as well, so I would recommend submitting a feature request to our forum to add an export by specific keyword labels in the rankings report. Here's the feature request forum we use to collect ideas: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests You can add your request to add exporting by keyword labels and vote for other features you'd like to see, both of which help our product team in deciding what to build next. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Hi! Can you try disconnecting and then reconnecting the Twitter account in your campaign settings? Once you do this, give the app a couple hours to refresh and see if new data populates. If you're still having problems after that, please send a ticket into help[at]moz.com as we'll probably need to get a developer to take a look at this for you. Thanks in advance for your patience as we work through the bugs in this initial beta release of Analytics! Best, Sam Moz Helpster

  • Hi David! Correct - if you wish to see traffic data, you will need to connect GA to each of your Moz Analytics campaigns. If you do not have a GA account for each campaign, then you still be able to see other data and metrics about your campaign, for example links data, mentions, crawl data, and any social accounts you have connected. If you have connected a GA account to your campaign and you are not seeing data appear, that might be a different issue. I would recommend disconnecting GA from the affected campaigns and then re-connecting.  If this doesn't work then let our help team know and we can help you debug. Thanks! Jon

  • I have also loaded up my keyword data about a week ago and it keeps telling me to come back in 24 hours. Not getting any new ranking data (or any initial data I should say).

  • To be honest Moz and even Raven and the others to a certian degree are only going to give you one level of KW data. If you are really keen on Keyword Research and want to do it right their are custom tools on the market to do just that an example of this is http://keywordsnatcher.com/ That been said MOZ tool set has the Keyword difficulty section http://moz.com/tools/keyword-difficulty which I guess is kind of what you need. Really the question is HOW DEEP do you want to do keyword Research?

  • Sidi Here is the link that will let you crawl the site now. This is the crawl test link and I do not know how to get to it other than this link.  As to Pro and Moz analytics, analytics is still in Beta but will replace pro at some point is my understanding. Hope that helps

  • Often the questions we get are ones that other users are able to answer before a help desk employee can get to them, and this way several people can see the answer as well. There are sometimes downsides, such as right now when there's an individual problem that needs direct attention by the help desk. However, often the question is more like "how do I unarchive a campaign" and the question will get an answer in minutes, even at 2 in the morning Seattle time, because another user is online and able to answer.

  • Hi Brian, Welcome to the Moz community! We're glad to have you. There's a lot going on in your account, so I can understand if it looks a bit overwhelming at first. A great place to start improving your site's on-page SEO is our On-Page Grader, which gives an overview of how well-optimized any page is for a given keyword. It's in Moz Analytics under Search -> On-Page Optimization. You can read all about the tool and how to apply its data at moz.com/help/guides/search-overview/on-page-optimization. Of course, on-page optimization is only one of many factors that affect SERP rankings, and the Keyword Difficulty Tool can provide some guidance on where to go from there. It can tell you how how much work you can expect it to take to rank for any given keyword, as well as a snapshot of your SERP competitors. I'd suggest running a full analysis on your most important terms, which will provide an idea of where your competitors are beating you—on-page SEO, backlink profile, etc. That helps to give some direction to your online marketing work. You can learn all about that tool at moz.com/help/guides/research-tools/keyword-difficulty. Keep an eye on your crawl diagnostics report, which tells you what issues with your site may be affecting its crawlability. It can be found under Search -> Crawl Diagnostics. Here are a few resources for learning the Moz toolset and inbound marketing: The Moz Analytics Help Hub - Videos, written guides, FAQs and glossaries for all aspects of Moz Analytics The Beginner's Guide to SEO - A reasonably quick, thorough introduction to inbound marketing concepts and best practices Moz Academy - A collection of brief video lessons teaching inbound marketing concepts and skills Finally, as others have mentioned, this Q&A is a great pace to get answers to your questions, and the Moz and YouMoz blogs consistently post useful information. I hope that helps!

  • Hi, thank you for taking the time to respond. The issues with broken paths are fixed, but those pages seem to be still alive in Google/Moz. I guess adjusting the robots file will be the best option here. Thanks, Michel

  • Replytocom is a native WordPress error that can be a bit of a headache. I actually just answered a similar question about this a few days ago. that question was partially about Disqus but is still relevant. Here's the answer from that one: Ah, Wordpress. The Replytocom parameter is an annoyance but can easily be fixed. Its not so much that removing Disqus is causing Replytocom... Disqus was just masking its presence. Replytocom exists as part of the native WordPress commenting system. Go to Webmaster Tools > Crawl > URL Parameters. Choose to Edit Replytocom, choose "Yes: Changes, reorders, or narrows page content", under How does it affect page content you can choose Other, and then choose to have Googlbot crawl No URLs with this parameter. You can also add replytocom to the Robots.txt for the blog to disallow it. And If you're using Yoast there's an option under SEO > Permalinks to remove ?replytocom variables. From Getting replytocom error when removed disqus comment system i want to remove the disqus
