Get up and running with the Moz tools.

  • Hi much appreciated for the input.... so i normally use Yoast SEO plugin with Clicky ... but though i'd try MOZ .... is there a reason you'd suggest the above? is MOZ like using a hammer to crack a walnut?

  • Hi there! Because you can add modules from different timeframes (daily or weekly), for most modules the timeframe is displayed above the tables / graphs. Does that work for you? Or would you like the date the report was generated listed at the top of the report as well? Thanks! Miranda Rensch - Product Manager

  • Howdy Jellybean22, Moz has a few keyword research tools: Rank Tracker - http://moz.com/researchtools/rank-tracker Keyword Difficulty - http://moz.com/researchtools/keyword-difficulty On page Grader - http://moz.com/researchtools/on-page-grader Versions of these tools are also all found in your campaigns. For keyword suggestions, we don't have a keyword suggestion tool, but you can often find good keywords to optimize for in the in "opportunities" tab of the Keyword Rankings report. Otherwise, some excellent keyword research resources can be found here: http://moz.com/blog/category/keyword-research Hope this helps. Thx!

  • Hey there, I am really sorry you are running into this issue. It is very difficult for us to investigate these type of issues through the Q&A forum. Can you please send the information of your issue to helpo@moz.com so that we can look into this further for you? That will help us investigate the issue and send the information over to our engineers. Thanks, Chiaryn

  • Hi, sorry to hear you are having a problem with this. It's an issue that others in the Moz Q&A forum have reported in the last day or so. From the report on http://health.moz.com/ it suggests that it's an issue that Moz's engineers are aware of and are looking to resolve: Cannot add Google+ accounts Our engineers are working to resolve an issue preventing Google+ accounts from being added in campaign settings. An update is expected later today so please check back for any new status! Common errors are returning: remote-authentication.failure. I hope that helps. Just keep an eye on http://health.moz.com/ for an update. Peter

  • Hi there! Thank you so much for reaching out! I don't know if you've been here yet, but the Help Hub is an awesome resource to learn how to use our tools. Here's the link: http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started Once you have that better grasp of the tools, you'll have a better idea of what steps you can take to help your site rank better for certain keywords. If you have specific questions about your account, I encourage you to email our helpful Helpsters at help@moz.com! Cheers, Erin

  • I am having this issue too - I cannot connect either - still showing 'No GA profile"

  • That would do it! Try this in robots.txt: User-agent: Rogerbot Disallow: User-agent: * Disallow: / Keep in mind that this will only block crawlers that obey robots.txt. Once Roger crawls your site, it may be a good idea to lock the dev site down entirely.

  • Hi Bil I haven't heard of that issue before. See if you can log out of your Google account, clear your browser cache/cookies and try re-connecting your profile and follow the authorization steps through your campaign settings and let me know if that works! Make sure you are logging into the account owner of the Google Analytics profile.

  • Hi Coletron! Thanks for your question. Would you mind making it more specific? As Christopher noted, more details about what you are asking will allow us to provide you with better answers. In the meantime, I will leave you with this: HTML is a language for marking up text and images on a web page. It defines the basic structure of the web page and certain aspects of its appearance. You can learn more here: http://www.w3.org/wiki/HTML/Training/What_is_HTML. You can view the HTML of any web page by selecting "view source" or "view source code" in one of the browser's menus. In Chrome for instance,  you can do this by navigating from the browser's top menu  to View > Developer > View Source. Looking forward to hearing from you, Christy

  • Hello and welcome! You will need to log into your moz analytics (top right over there). Then select your campaign from the drop down menu in the top right corner. You should then see the dashboard. There is lots of cool data there but what you want to look at is the Search tab specifically "Keyword rankings" Here you can see your position in the SERP. There are a few other cool options here too which are : Overview     Rankings     Performance     Competition     Opportunities And if you wanted to in the top right you can create a neat report to share the data if you want. Hope that helps.

  • I need to play with it, but it does look interesting after spending some time in it yesterday.  There does seem to be data missing from one campaign though. Like I said before, my biggest problem are similar or light colours, when i first visit analytics I can't see some of the colours, although they are better on an Apple screen than they are on a PC. A how to guide on the right side of the screen would be good.  Nice big bright button that I can't miss.  I bet there is a how to guide and I've missed it

  • Hi Nicholas, I hope everything worked out with your keywords. You should have started seeing data within a few days. If not, be sure to let us know. Cheers!

  • Hey David Let us know if you're all set with Martijn's answer. But do you mean; a) after entering multi-word keywords Moz does not then track them correctly? or b) you are having trouble entering multi-word KW's to begin with into the software? I just tried adding a multi-word KW and it seemed to work fine (even without quotes) so maybe there was a bug. If you continue to have trouble you can also email help@moz.com directly for product related support. -Dan
