Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Jesse First thank you very very much I have no clue who insert that TAG - maybe the guys who build the website I will try to check with him Just to delete this tag? Again Thank you so much SEOwise I.

  • That suggests that 63% difficulty is, in reality, rather easy. I'd say that in reality the domain strength of SEOmoz is kicking the ass in that SERP. Nevertheless, my suggestion is unchanged.  ATTACK.

  • Hi Erik, Great question. Unfortunately, you can't add tags quite as easily as you can add list of keywords and you would need to enter the tags manually. I'm really sorry about that! The bast way to add a group of keywords with a tag from a CSV would be to sort the CSV by tag and copy all of the keywords that fall under each tag. Next, input the keywords into the Ad Keywords box and add that specific tag manually. That should cut down on the number of times you have to add tags. Though, I'm afraid it isn't as easy as importing the tag from the CSV directly. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Chiaryn

  • If your product names and brand names in itself, I'd totally use them/track them if that's what my goal is. There might be very little search volume but your conversion would be high, so you'd want to make sure all those review websites are not outranking you for your own brand name/product name keywords. So yes, you are right and on the right track :).

  • Hi, Thanks for the question. There is a way to do this in our tools. Basically, you can suspend a campaign and activate it on the day that you want to get ranking for. For more details, please see: http://www.seomoz.org/help/campaign-setup Thanks! Peter SEOmoz help team

  • Hi Ricky, Thanks for letting us know. It looks like your keywords are currently not ranking in the top 50. Our tools only crawl pages that show up in the top 50. You can manually create a report to show pages ranking lower than that. For details on how to manually generate reports please see: http://www.seomoz.org/help/on-page-reports Let us know if you have any other questions about our tools, Peter SEOmoz help team

  • Hello James, Abe here with the SEOmoz Help Team. Unfortunately, we do not have login admin privilege options. The good news is that this is one of our top feature requests so I am certain that this will be implemented in the very near future. Sorry for any inconveniences,  we are hoping to improve this soon!

  • Hi Lynn, Thanks for your time on this. I just found it. Couldn't use your key command (on a Mac), but went through it more methodically and found one 'true' in column 'D'. Sorry my eyes weren't sharp enough first time through. Thanks again.

  • This is done on the first page of Campaign Setup, Chaya. There's a radio button to select that you want to track specifically a subdomain (it's the first button) and then below, there's a text box where you enter the exact address of the subdomain. The page also has examples of typical subdomain addresses to prompt you. I've included a screenshot with arrows pointing to the boxes you need to use. Does that get you set up the way you need? • OSE is not as accurate as Google Webmaster Tools. Go into GWT and check your links there. If you see a difference, then use the information on GWT. OSE is great, but RogerBot is not as sophisticated as GoogleBot.

  • Hi Marcos, Thanks for writing in with a great question. You should be able to include the full URL of the product you would like to track by setting it up as a subfolder as long as the final subsection of the URL isn't set up as a file. For example, you can set up a subfolder campaign for the URL http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/outright-amity-dress but not for the URL http://www.infinitecat.com/infinite/cat33.html I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. CHiaryn

  • Hi Walter, Thanks for writing in and sorry for any confusion. It looks like you actually have the PRO level API access and there is no Low Volume subscription on your account. For the PRO level API, the account is actually rate limited at 1 request ever 5 seconds and it does look like you are getting the correct access for that plan level on your account. If you would like to sign up for the Low Volume API subscription, you can fill out our Order Form at http://goo.gl/BTbyy and we will get you set up right away. Let me know if you have any other questions. Chiaryn

  • Howdy, If your branded rule is "dc widgets", then yes - the phrases "maker dc widgets" and "toy dc widgets" will both be considered branded keywords. Branded keywords are important for many different reasons. As opposed to non-branded traffic, branded keywords are an indication of true business visibility. If folks are searching specifically for your business, this is a good indication of health as opposed to random keyword searches. Here's an excerpt from a post we published when SEOmoz introduced branded rules into the web app: Keywords related to your brand tend to show up at the end of the conversion funnel, when visitors are already aware and interested. They’re more specific and unique, often based on company and domain names, key products, and variations/misspellings of those names and products. They aren’t subject to the fluctuations caused by search algorithms in the same way that non-branded keywords are. This makes them useful as indicators of long-term strength and popularity. For that reason, most sites should see a decent portion of traffic coming from brand-related keywords. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/introducing-branded-keyword-rules-and-metrics For better or worse, Google loves brands. The more branded traffic you receive  the easier it is to succeed in other areas... typically.

  • Thanks Megan, think I've worked it out though... the report only showed my external links EVEN though OSE was set to all links... Anyway it turns out I have something like 4200 internal links... is that negative for SEO?? Thanks! James
