Rank went up, But?
You can check if your staging has been indexed by running a 'site:' query in google (i.e. site:staging.yoursite.com). The spike in your existing site is likely due to outside factors (new links? dig in to what keywords you saw jumps in), but regardless, you should continue with the HTML site. As long as it is implemented properly, it will likely outperform the flash version in the long run.

Two links from one page with different Anchor text
You can link to a sub-page if you want but the WHOLE point of your question (which is how I read it) is that you wanted to concentrate on improving your client rankings for the keyword "computer page" tied to their home page. That means generating as many "unique domain" links into your home page for that anchor text from external, related pages. But again, to promote a "diverse link profile" you want to vary that anchor text. Hence my first answer.

Which page to target? Home or /landing-page
I will advise you to target your keyword on main page because main page has more weight and trust in front of Google. So it should be easier to bring it on Top Page of Google. Also if you have another page with relevant information to your keyword then if will be great if you put a link on this page targeting on main page. of course the anchor should be your keyword.

Proper use and coding of rel = "canonical" tag
Thanks for your help, I get it now! In addition to your video, I also found a post on Matt Cutts' blog that answers it: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/12/handling-legitimate-cross-domain.html

Anyone Knows a good plugin for WP that will deal with the mobile visitors?
i think the idea is to have one content and use css to reposition it. I have made a simple tet site using css, using this in your style sheep once the screen goes below a certain width, the styles inside take over. @media only screen and (max-width: 850px) { }

Wich is the best way to manage dup content in a intenational Portal?
Do the geotargeting in Google Webmaster Tools. You don't need to canonical to the .com. Also make use of the meta language and country attributes, and make sure your pages are adjusted for the local version of Spanish - it's best to get a native speaker to check as there can be a surprising amount of differences.

Search Engine Pingler
What type of website do you have? What platform is it on? A pinging service is usually built into WordPress. If you're not getting any pages indexed, before looking at a pinging site, I'd take a look and make sure that I had a clean xml site map, good URL structure, etc.

How can we optimize content specific to particular tabs, but is loaded on one page?
Thanks for the response. Yeah, we want to avoid affecting the user experience if possible. We feel that making each tab load as its own page could severely impact it. Any other ideas? Thoughts on the issue of duplicate content?

How much is too much content for a home-page?
Bing has just bloged about missused conanoicals will be ignored, I would not do what you suggest, if the algorithm does not pick it up, a manual look at your site would i think be seen as spam.

Any tips for moving my blog from blogspot.com to a domain I already own?
Contact all the webmasters that linked to your blogspot blog, and ask them to change the link over to your website since the resources will no longer be there?

New web site - 404 and 301
yes. many have the belief that you are transfereing the value of the page, that not the case, you are redirected requests for that page. A user may reqest yiour page and be redirected to anouther, a search engine may request the page to assign link juice to it, and it will be redirected. a good analogy is, if you and tom have a store, and tom puts a sign on his door, closed go to Nancy's store, you will get most of his customers, but you will not get the value of his stock. OK you may have some customers that have your link bookmarked and for that reason you could 301 it, but I doubt that is a good enouth reason to 301 so many pages.
