Revamping/Re-optimizing State Pages - What to do with old content?
Using your old content on other sites and generating backlinks from it is certainly a good strategy. If your not using it on your main site and can use it on relevant industry sites and generate backlinks, then that sounds like a winner to me.

Does Javascript links pass equity? (AngularJS)
Thanks for your response, But I'm looking to get information on the aspect of "passing equity" between Javascript Links. I've analyzed all the PA of my sites and except for my homepage, every page has a PA of 1.

Different content on pages with the same URL--except one is at www and the other at www2
Hello Ivey, To clarify: Why do they have exact same URL? The problem here could be if both pages compete on the same search terms. Keywords in the URL are pretty important, so it could be great to change one. Recently there has been a case where a great piece of article was not indexed because it has a nearly exact title. Take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oSK9Njplcs Hope it helps. Best luck. GR

Www vs Non-www version - should we still redirect?
Hi, I would mostly be worried about other sites linking to you with or without the www. version of it. If you never had a site with both versions then I wouldn't worry too much about it. But this is in most cases a server side fix that could go live in a few minutes as it's just a setting in your NGINX/Apache configurations on the webserver. Martijn.

Does Google ignore duplicate meta descriptions?
Hi Nikki, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I was worried that this is precisely the case.

Redirect Chains
Thanks for the response. How would you redirect http and https at the same time? You would have double urls per page which could get long and tedious. Just wondering if there is better approach.

Best practice to redirect all 404s?
Hey is it best practice to redirect all 404 pages. If the page that was taken down has no inbounds links or a relevant substitute landing page, 404's are fine. For example if the 404 pages had 0 traffic and no links why would you need to redirect that page? If it has a contextual-relevant landing page, use a 301. Even it has no traffic, it may have organic rankings and/or traffic until it gets dropped from the serps.

Long tail there are no long tail keywords....
Hi it’s just the phrase ‘key’ and it has a massive search volume but I imagine not much of it is buyer intent apart for people searching your brand who will be wanting to buy anyway. So it’s an example of how a tool can mislead because it’s saying you’re now number two for key and not number one so youve lost x% of that big volume. Because t I doubt there’s any real difference in analytics like you say. It’s also just flux, so you may well be back at number one by now. I see big flux for broad terms like that and the tools go crazy but analytics and search console don’t show any real differences. You‘ve some great positions that must be generating some nice conversios and roi. There are a lot of options and categories but that’s fine because you sell lots of different stuff. If It was me I’d look at the categories and just make double sure they are all organised in the best way thats getting the best UX. do you use hot jar? its been transformational for us and you can see where people are getting stuck or lost in the site with actual recordings. It’s not super expensive. i have no affiliation with them.

Boost if loading website under 1 sec
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I agree with you there is probably more a penalty if you are slow than a bonus if you are fast or average.

SEO benefits/drawbacks of physical address on site.
Try adding the areas you serve in your copy. Plus, on the footer and/or contact page - add your business name, suburb and postcode, hours and phone number. Even if you don't have your full street address on your website, Google should be able to tell the areas you are serving based on your website content and rank you for local searches accordingly.

Copied Content - Define Canonical
Using a canonical depends on how much duplicate content you'll have on the page. If it's a sentence or two, an attribution at the end of the article should be enough. If more than that, you may have to add a canonical tag on the section of the page in order to avoid the duplication issue. If a page has a canonical, Google would likely not index the page and index the original source instead.

Best Method for Press Releases from an SEO Perspective?
I would do the Press Release first, then you can change the content around, maybe add a couple paragraphs and add it to your blog if you want. Just be careful not to add many links back to your website in your press release, we usually only do 1 brand anchor link if anything.

Hreflang tags on just one page?
Hi there! There are 3 things to say here: Hreflangs only apply when different pages/domains are copies/translations and carry the same user intent Google understands correctly ccTLD domains, making less necessary to use hreflang Hreflang tag with just self-referential is worthless. Because of 1. and because it need the tag corresponding to the translation page. In this case, if you are apllying hreflang to 3 pages, there should be 3 tags. Also, just for clarifying, take a look at these articles: Multi-regional and multilingual sites - Google Search Console International checklist - Moz Blog Using the correct hreglang tag - Moz Blog Guide to international website expansion - Moz Blog Tool for checking hreflang anotations - Moz Blog Hope it helps. Best Luck. GR.
