• This one I am honestly not sure at the moment. I have been doing some research to try and figure it out. I am not sure the reasons for why a 7-pack is triggered vs a blended, so therefore I am not sure if one ranks better than the other. Your best bet is to check out that link and focus on what David talks about, he's considered the expert in local search!

 • Hi Colocation, I agree with James; if you are looking fore your videos to be found on your website instead of youtube; I would host them directly on the website. If right now your videos are being found on youtube only, for the mean time, put your website information on the videos description, on the video itself before the video starts and create a channel that has a link to your website. I hope this helps.

 • The ranking would depend on the overall content quality of the page. The text that is selected to be added on the page, describing the video should be original and relevant to the context you wish to optimize the page for. I believe adding the video on YouTube or saving it on the website won't make any difference. We have a website as a collection of YouTube videos ranking on top spot for a significant number of keywords we are working on. Yes, having the word video in the URL and title can help as a plus in ranking factors.

 • I personally would use a subdomain for tracking purposes. A folder may make tracking visits, roi, etc. difficult.

 • Google has changed the guidelines for this many times. From what I understand, you need to have one listing for the company (for example, if it is a hospital or an attorneys office... or in your case a real state office). Then, you need to have individual listings for each person in that office (doctor so and so.... attorney so and so... realtor so and so). Hopefully each of you have individual numbers or extensions; or Google may try to merge the listings. I have done this before for a dental office and all worked out fine for each individual dentist as I followed the guidelines.

 • Kevin, I would delete both of the listings and create a brand new account; a listing "under review" can be under review for several months. Whenever you are working with a company that has more than one physical location you should make sure that all locations have their own address and phone number; no listings should ever share those two things. If there are older companies that are using the companies name with a phone number and address that you cannot get a hold of, then report the location as closed through the map section; this is about as much as you can do if you have no access to the old companies number or address. Hope this helps!

 • Seems to me like the third party reviews are still making an impact on the rankings, it is just that google is no longer displaying them due to legal reasons.

 • The link can be helpful for other reasons though. My husband and I run a business about model warship combat -- RC battleships and other warships that shoot and sink each other. Very few people have heard of the hobby. There are a couple of people that have popular YouTube channels with videos, and they've added a link to our business site. The YouTube channel is great for exposure, and for getting qualified people to our website.

 • I am not too sure about the impact of having the image referenced on multiple sites, however, I do know that the number of links to the page with the image on and the anchor text of those links can have a positive impact on iimage seo.

 • Hi There, I've been tackling this same issue with my site, and I think I have your problem diagnosed - It's your domain relevancy and authority. You have modest authority, but low relevancy. It looks like you're trying to rank locally for the following terms (or variants): Toronto Storage Etobicoke Storage Mississauga Storage Scarborough Storage But, here's a breakdown of your (relevant) anchor text: Toronto Storage - 5 Linking Root Domains with Anchor Text Self Storage Toronto - 4 Linking Root Domains with Anchor Text Storage in Toronto, Scarborough & Mississauga - 2 Linking Root Domains with Anchor Text Storage Toronto - 1 Linking Root Domains with Anchor Text Besides "Toronto Storage", your links are providing you with very little relevancy in regard to the terms you are trying to rank for. According to David Mihm's Local Search Ranking Factors, citations, domain authority, and quality of inbound links are the most important factors that you can actually use to set yourself apart from the competition (assuming most people are smart enough to include relevant addresses, categories, etc in their place pages). You are currently doing the equivalent of trying to rank for "dishwasher" with links that only have "kitchen" in the anchor text. Conclusion: Build links with the terms you want to rank for as the anchor text. I just experienced the exact same problem and the link building shot my places traffic though the roof for a very competitive space. How: Fire up Google and do a search for a phrase you want to rank for like "Toronto Storage." Make sure the MozBar is installed and explore the links of your top competitors. Copy the links that aren't junk using the terms you want to rank for as the anchor text. This is somewhat time consuming, but you currently have so few links that you are going to discover a goldmine of opportunity with about two hours worth of work.

 • Hi, A lot of changes have been happening with Google places over the last few weeks, we have seen 3rd party review data changed. And Google has been making a bunch of tweeks. another thing I noticed where Google is taking more and more time to make changes is the verification of things it will take 8+ week to get bulk upload feeds accepted these days. I also wonder when Google will fix the problems but for the moment you have to sit tight and monitor the blog: google-latlong.blogspot.com

 • I've had two situations with Google Places that might help you. First, for some reason they have chosen to use the state road number for the name of our street even though Google Maps shows both state road number and street name. The street name has been in effect for more than five years. I've tried for several months to get it changed. Places refers me to Maps and says I have to be the owner, which I am, to make changes and Maps won't quit calling the street the state road number which no one around here knows or uses. So far nothing I've done has fixed it. Second, we have a legal name and a dba for our business. I mistakenly made submissions for both to Google Places--a duh moment. It took several months to fix it. Taking the "speed" of changes to listings in Google Places into consideration, I suggest that you wait until you have a physical location with a landline phone. Otherwise, you will have to make two changes (to P.O. Box and then to physical address) which could take a long time to happen. Verifying with a phone number is really fast.

 • One thing you can try is reaching out to your Adwords Account team (or reach out to Google and request an Adwords Acct Manager, if you don't already have one). They are often able to get you additional Youtube perks.
