SEOMoz report says: 1 Warning Title Element Too Long (> 70 Characters)
Ergoback, You have two sections of code on each page for Title tags and meta descriptions. You only need one. As Vancity Stacks suggested, one is probably added by Magento and the other is probably added by the theme. The theme's versions of title and meta description would probably be the easiest and safest to remove. Yes, you can delete it.

Google changes my title in search results randomly, any idea why?
Thanks for the info Sorina, i agree with you that Google decided the page is also relevant for the keyword cctv cameras... But i disagree with google.. lol.. i mean, we have a cameras page, the recorder page has nothing to do with cameras, there are no cameras on that page, it is recorders... Just seems a little odd to me... I will try lengthening the title as it is a little short (only 36 characters)... perhaps if its a bit longer they wont bother adding to it... Thanks again

How can I get a list of keywords related to my specific keyword?
When you search for the keyword in Google it will show a list of related keywords at the bottom under "Searches related to vacant land." Enter these suggestions to get more related searches until you have built a sufficient list.

Can using an exact sentence from your content as meta description hurt?
OK, now you don't want some very aggressive call to action sentence. I'd try to avoid words like "best", "leading" etc. Try to describe what your website offers in a sentence.

Advice - Keywords, good semantic practice...
Thanks Bryan, I like your idea of multiple pages, although a bit of workload. Do you have any ideas how you go about doing this with Wordpress. I understand duplicate pages are a no no for SEO, canonicalization is the answer but how to implement with Wordpress. Also how to stop the duplicate post appearing in my Wordpress??? Kevin

How do you determine whether to pursue keywords suggested by Google Instant?
You've received some great responses, Project#Labs! Do they answer your question?

Question about ranking for long tail keywords
not necessarily, overall good rank factors would mean that semantically you end up in the same place - you maybe the best at your term but they are best at relating to that term (if that makes sense)

Meta description
Hi there, There are no thumb rules about the repetition of your targeted term in the description or for that matter any where on the website. Titles and Descriptions can be used to optimize and maximize the click through rates for your website from the search engine results pages. Try to come up with enticing and compelling titles and descriptions that will literally force the visitor to click through. Just make sure to capture the crux of the title within the first 65 characters including spaces as Google strips beyond that and for descriptions, its 150 characters including spaces. Descriptions are concise summary of what the page is all about and they should go hand-in-hand with content of the page that they belong to. They should complement the titles in some form. Titles and Descriptions can be descriptive and at the same time can also have a strong call to action if possible. Having said the above, make sure you include the target term in the description and if possible a call to action to maximize the click through rate. As it is not always possible to include a call to action in the description, you can follow the guidelines given by Google at the following URL: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35624 Hope that helps. Best regards, Devanur Rafi.

Does SEOMOZ have a listing of the top 50 keywords used to get to my site or do I have to go to Google Analyts to get it
I would take a look at your Google webmaster tools also, as it shows some of the search queries you are getting views but possibly not gaining clicks for. You can also narrow it down to the keywords specific pages are ranking for and see the average position your page appears in the search results To view this information in your webmaster tools click Traffic > Search Queries Hope this helps James

Search Terms with Apostrophes
I think that one thing that probably causes a lot of confusion for most people is that the algorithm google uses to return search results is far more complex most likely than the algorithm they use in the Google Keyword Tool to return lists of keywords. I've probably spent more than my share of time trying to wrap my head around this and it is the best theory i have come up with to date. Also, i think that some of the ranking factors are significantly disproportionate in weight when comparing a regular search vs. a "phrase match" search.

Please Can someone look at this - Restaurant in Totnes
Hi James, sorry for the delay. You can access your source code (ctrl+U in non ie browsers or right click + view source code), and search for <title>(using ctrl+F), if you want to improve your seo skills I really advise you to try coding domething and studying a bit your html code so you can easily spot wrong things, since errors are not always 404s :-)</p></title>

How to best utilize keywords using All in One SEO
No problem - well I would definitely look at removing the keyword cloud for a start as this just looks so spammy in my opinion and is likely to stick out like a sore thumb to Google. The other issue you have is that some of your pages with videos on are very thin on content and so all this repeating text in the footer across the site isn't likely to help in terms of duplicate content. I don't see an issue with the pictures and they do look good apart from why do you have them on Flickr and not hosted on your site maybe I am missing something? I would consider adding another link to your top menu for the whats new links and have them on sub-menu as your other items currently do rather than repeating them on every pages footer as they look like targeted keywords to me. Adding them to the main navigation won't complicate things and at worst gives these pages more weight. I would also have one page that talks about who you are but I also think that repeating it across your site devalues your homepage content as the majority of it is basically your footer. In short I think the current layout will be devaluing your SEO, but the choice is yours...

Keyword Research Local vs Organic
We have similar issues with our own keywords, and creativity is certainly key. Think along the lines of "We've been operating for 20 years in Dallas. Family dentistry is our specialty." It does become very awkward. Alt tags, titles, and captions are easier to fit key phrases like that into. So I say aim for the best you can, then optimize for the shorter phrase like "Family Dentist."

Difference in Keywords and Anchor Text ?
Hi SEO MOZ have a great explanation of what Anchor Text is http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/anchor-text They also have a great explanation for keywords http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo/keyword-research In short it is best to use your keywords within your anchor text rather than generic words such as click here. The search engines will see your keywords within your anchor text and will understand more about the areas your business is targeting. e.g using your example of black German shoes, if you had this phrase in your anchor text search engines would understand that you were a company selling shoes. Simply having 'click here' wouldn't tell the search engines anything about what your business was selling. Hope that helps.
