Google Adwords traffic shows a different level to Google Trends
I searched these terms and I'm not sure what they mean. Can you provide some clarification? In my results it shows that 880 LMS is associated to Mobius Learning Centers, which would likely have more search traffic than a part number for 2900 LMS. More information would be very useful here. Thanks!

How many redirects on a redirect can you have?
In 2011 Matt Cutts advised that Google does limit on redirect chains - he indicated the Googlebot won't follow more than around 3 or 4. No limit on the total number of single-level 301s. In your specific situation I would redirect both the original and the first replacement to the new replacement so that users and bots can reach the new page in a single redirect hop.

Wrong page ranking for keyword.
I would try to figure out why the home page is ranking so well for that keyword. There must be something else within your content that's boosting it…it can't be just the one link (which I assume is in your navigation, so don't remove that). I would use the page grader tool to compare the keyword phrase with your home page and find out what is making the page rank for that. If you have already taken out what is making the page rank for the keyword, it may just take time to catch up in the SERPs. From there, I would continue to improve the content and internal linking around the page that you do want ranked for your keyword. Like stated above, utilizing social media and your blog is a good way to gain some web presence. The press release and back link thing…don't waste your time or energy. Is the page new? That may also be a factor. Also, is your home page ranking for what you are targeting on there?

Does Using Brand/Company Name in Title on Multiple Pages Cause Cannibalization
Thanks, it's a little complicated in this case because some key competitors are able to use the same brand name.

Has Google changed how it displays metatitles for business listings?
If you want google to pick up the meta title you want you need to tweak your on-page optimization, as per my previous answer. If you check both homepages, toyota and honda, with some keyword densitiy analyzer tools you will see differences, make changes till you convince google to accept your meta title. One difference in those pages is pretty obvious once you scan it with a keyword density analyzer.

Image alt attribute - keyword stuffing?
Patrick Sexton is a pretty well known "tool" dude in the SEO world - I think if I remember correctly, he was David Mihm's original partner for the getlisted puppy... That said, give this URL a try to one of his great online tools to audit EVERY image on a webpage and show you what needs attention when it comes to SEO for images... Link is here... :-0 Jim

Setting Up a Keyword Matrix
My opinion is that the URLs are less important than the actual content on the page, including title tags, headlines, body text, etc. Unfortunately, there's no way to manually determine when you've crossed the line of "near-duplicate" content, so it's best to make each content experience serve a unique experience targeted towards a specific purpose.

Is this keyword cannibalization?
SearchMetrics would be a good place to start - you won't get individual keyword historic performance but it will show your website's overall SEO visibility over time. Particularly useful for tying in with Google algorithmic updates. George

Remove poor performing pages, or leave for google?
+1 what Martijn says. Even though the pages have no traffic, Google may still be crawling them if they have links so there may still be some equity in keeping them. If this is a concern you can redirect them to the most relevant (quality) page on your site. If it's only a few pages this is fine but any more than a few they might come up as "soft 404s" in Google WMT. You can check if Google is crawling the pages by checking your web logs. That said, if the content is of no value and they don't have any decent links then I would just delete them and move on. Regards, George

Include Location in Keywords?
I just want to ask more questions regarding location in keywords. Can we treat these two keywords differently? "Calgary's best shoe repair" vs "best shoe repair in Calgary" or "Canadian shoe repair" vs "shoe repair in Canada" Searchers' intent is pretty much the same. but we should target two different keywords? if they are both popular?

Keywords with no search volume
Yes, you should/can, especially for longtail, which may have almost no volume in AdPlanner. I worked for an e-commerce site that had a few people hitting for a certain longtail term, but those customers knew what they wanted, converted at a higher rate, and spent the big bucks. It's also worth noting that Google gets 3.5 billion searches per day (and trending up) and 16-20% of those searches are brand-new, never been searched for before.

How do you check keyword rankings for your sites?
I like SEM Rush. It gives you daily ranking updates for your keywords and allows you to monitor the serps for your keywords. I actually find the moz raking a little poor in comparison, mostly because it is only updated weekly. But I do look at both to make sure they correlate as much as possible, and they seem to. I spot check the SEM Rush rankings against searching manually every now and then too to make sure its accurate. So far it has been. I have used it for just over a year. All ranking tools have limitations - country specific, data center differences, google testing stuff, etc etc. Only way to be 100% sure what the ranking is is to manually check (with a 'clean' browser as mentioned by someone else), but I bet you (like me) have better things to do with your time! Be interested to know what you choose and how you get on with it. Best wishes, Amelia

What is the best way to research long tail search queries?
Trung beat me to it but +1 to keywordtool.io, an often overlooked thing is to ask your users how they would find a solution to their issue - with a tool like seed keywords - http://seedkeywords.com/. We have recently had success with looking at the old pre-not provided data for long tail queries, the data is fresh enough that it might open your eyes a bit to new opps and a lot of people aren't doing that. One of our peeps Amanda might be publishing something soon about this, it helped us build / refresh content better than if we had used other tools.

Domestic keyword searches
Hey there, I know a bit about the e-cig space, when I am trying to understand permutations, e-cig vs ecig vs e cigarette I do something super simple. I type in one term and see if Google bolds the matches to the other terms. Here is an example: http://screencast.com/t/mmVk3tdE now egis doesn't seem to match e-cig, so I would try ecigs for instance, and you can see here what matches and doesn't match: http://screencast.com/t/GsxgthQXxTBA We are splitting hairs here though, I find that over time (and usually very quickly) the machine learning starts kicking in, and Google gets all the matches, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Keyword Density and ALL CAPS
Thanks for the input guys ... This does help a lot ... it's weird that word stuffing doesn't seem to matter ... to me 14 mentions IN CAPS!!! on the same page is pushing a line that Google wouldn't like. But yes, it is maybe not the best marketing practice and they are quite, quite wedded to the idea. It will be all caps or nothing. Thanks so much for helping me out and I guess I need to research the hummingbird updates more because it just seems wrong to me that this is mostly ok. Lisa
