So at campaign level, do I target UK, or the 3 cities mentioned?

RE: Adwords Advice
Thanks.
From a campaign point of view, I can only set locations in their, so should I have location campaigns or service locations?
If someone in London searches and my London campaign is heavy London keywords and copy, then that must benefit over a Service campaign targeting 3 cities and only splitting them via Ad Group, Ad Text and Keywords?
But in doing so, am I restricting the power of Campaigns with small towns as locations as their viewers could live on borders or just outside and not see their ad or one closest to their location?

Adwords Advice
Hi.
I have a few questions regarding Adwords set up. I typically follow a highly targeted model with Ad Groups consisting of a few ads and keywords.
I have a client who offers multiple services across multiple towns/cities/counties but what I want to know is the best way to structure this at campaign level.
Say they offer carpet cleaning, window cleaning and car cleaning. In cities London, Birmingham and Leeds.
Now when setting the campaign up, would I be better served to set up a Campaign at:
City Level. Eg London location settings, london keywords, london in Ad copy.
Service Level. London, Leeds & Birmingham in location setting. Ad Groups for each city with Ads aimed at each city/keywords.
Or City & Service level. Eg. London location settings. London Car Cleaning. The Ad Group, Ads, Keywords.
What is the best structure to use?
I see location as important but if I restrict settings to 1 city, am I doing myself out of some searches from regions on the border of London that might be interested in the service?
I want Ads, Keywords to be highly targeted but the best way to play it.
Thanks

Using + in Adwords URL
Hi.
I am using keywords in my Destination URL in Adwords. So http://example.com/?football+boots+supplier
This was done by someone else and I am trying to understand the full meaning behind this. If I go to the page it links to, it is just the homepage of the website but obviously shows up in Analytics as a landing page that stills out from the general landing page of homepage /
Is that the reason so its easier to track the data? I would have though using the Paid referral in Analytics does this better?
Any help be great. Thanks

Location Pages
Hi.
A client of mine offers multiple services and covers a region of the UK. They want to target each major town/city within this area.
However, there are 20 cities and services offered range from 5-15 services.
I am in the process of creating a location page for each city, so it can be optimised separately however I am not sure if there is a better way to do it? Or should I create a page for each city & service. So I for example I end up with 10 London pages with each one offering a different service? These can all be optimised for different services within London then?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

PPC keywords and locations help
Hi.
I have a client who is looking to target locations. In their PPC campaigns they have generic keywords such as web design but the campaigns are location based so Surrey, Kent etc...
Would they be better to target UK wide but use localised keywords such as Web design surrey?
Also in your view, is the Display Network worth it for a small business competing against cheaper/bigger services/companies?
Any views be great.
Thanks

Ping sites? Worth it at all?
Hi.
Title says it all. Are Ping sites worth it? Eg. http://www.pingmyurl.com/
Why are they or why aren't they?
What are the best ones if any?
What is the best way to use them?
Thanks

RE: When using Moz Pro do I want Google-UK or -GB as default and why?
The GB has been there since I have been a member (over 12 months).
I assumed the same thats why I select -UK.
Nothing major, some slight differences in rank but if they are just the same or not needed I will select a different search instead of GB.

When using Moz Pro do I want Google-UK or -GB as default and why?
Hi.
When using Moz Pro, I always select Google UK as default search with GB and US next.
Is there a reason to choose one over the other? If so why?
I am UK based and so are my clients.
Thanks

RE: Spaces at beginning of title tag - negatively affect the optimization of the page?
Hi mate.
It looks like its just code that's been tabbed inline so its easier to read. Wouldn't worry about it.

RE: Is Moz Local any good? Any better Alternatives?
Thanks. Is it only U.S supported?
Anything for the UK?

RE: Spaces at beginning of title tag - negatively affect the optimization of the page?
What does it look like in a browser? You got a link?
From what you have above, it looks like code thats just been tabbed inline to make reading easier which is good practice. So I doubt it would have any effect at all.
If you browser window says .......... Footballs for Sale then you might have an issue (take the ..... as spaces) as its using characters.

RE: Is the Search Love Conference worth the money?
I recently started my own business offering SEO, PPC and SMM amongst other things so i'll be using it for personal business and putting that learning into effect with my clients.

RE: Is the Search Love Conference worth the money?
I know its all about the experience and the networking and relationships you can build.
The issue I see is, will I gain £1,000 worth of information, networking, ideas etc.. when compared to something like BrightonSEO which is free?
As a small business, can I justify the investment or is the event a bit over priced for something you can get elsewhere for a much lower cost?

RE: Meta Descriptions
That is a good option but the issue with it is that it makes your site look too thin.
If a user clicks on a brand, they will see 1 product rather than say 10. The 1 product may say 10 colours but I think people with tend to say "ah they dont have much on there".
Also for a small store (compared to the big boys), the ability to rank on colours is key.
My Red T-Shirt can rank and so can my Blue T-Shirt. Rather than my 1 product being T-Shirt - Various Colours or something like that.
I think its only the major players or well established stores who can get away with the 1 product with 10 colour options in.

RE: Meta Descriptions
I am in the same boat with an ecommerce store.
Same products but different colours.
I tend to write my own metas but mix it up a bit with colour, fit, size, material, where it is made, free delivery, official stockists etc...

Thinking about going but just gathering a few opinions first.
