Thanks for your answer. It's not about changing the business name, but I guess it's just to guide people to the right version of the website. So there is a 302 redirect but I don't know the exact purpose of that. I want to get rid of it, and I am looking for the best solution, without any loss in UX or rankings.

Hi Jens I don't know Drupal but if it's like Wordpress it will add a noindex tag to the page. Do it for one page then take a look at the code. Go to the page: right click > View Source Then go to the three dots top right in chrome and search noindex. It will look like this attached. I've tried this before, but I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of SEO plug-ins in general. While I didn't really see any real negative consequences, I think that if the WordPress site isn't constantly curated, plug-ins tend to make a mess of the site's architecture and meta data. For WordPress, the only plug-in I really use is Yoast for it's ease of use and how it makes fundamental on-site optimization easier.

Hi SEOchris, Thanks for your answer. I checked the robots.txt file, changed the User Agent to Googlebot in Screaming Frog, but non of these gave new insights. For now, we don't have access yet to the server log files, but when we have, hopefully they will tell us more.

You'll need to inspect the site's server logs to begin narrowing this down, Jens. Causes can range from traffic overload (like from bots, which won't show in your Analytics)  to database problems, plugin conflicts etc.

Just add the sitemap index file to your robots.txt and let them figure it out from there. You basically just want to point them to your sitemaps and they're able to do that from just the sitemap index. So there's not really a need to list all of them in there.

Hi Christy, Thanks for your answer! Yes, it only happens with this specific site in Screaming Frog. I also did a crawl test on Moz Pro and there were no issues. Google Search Console doesn't point out big issues neither. The website does save 9 cookies but none of them have any name value even close to path or domain. Thanks, Jens

Hi Patrick, Thank you for your response! On our local websites, we have specific meta-descriptions in place. Do you know another technical solution to do this on a corporate .com domain (meta-description per country)? This domain is used in the whole world but we want to test multiple meta-descriptions for this .com domain.

Hi Patrick, That's the problem. I advised them to not use any extensions. This makes no sense in Holland as they only speak one language over there. The agency responsible for the creation and the maintenance of the website says it is technically not possible to set up the website in Holland without an extra extension. I'm not that technical. What if there is no other way? Or is it not possible that there is no other way? Thank you so much for your help!
