Facebook ads to people who like a particular brand or page
Tom is spot on here. You cannot target only the fans of a miscellaneous Facebook page that you are not in control of, like a competitor.

Moz Analytics/Reports into PDF
These kinds of questions are often worth running through a quick Q/A search, James. As the staff response in this question indicates, the PDF export functionality is still being worked on in the Analytics Beta. Hopefully won't be too much longer before it's ready. Hope that helps; Paul

9600 exact searches position 3 but only 125 clicks????
James, Taking into account the numbers you get in the tool are far from exact and the traffic estimates that were extrapolated from AOL click through data released in 2006, your numbers could certainly be considered right on the mark. It's very surprising to recognize the difference in traffic between just a couple of places in the search results, isn't it!

What are your best Press release sites currently?
Quite a bit more - distribution methods go up to $295. You used to be able to buy "credits" and get a bulk discount, but I'm not sure you can any more. Personally, it's a bit too much for my liking, but I guess this is the perks of being an in-house SEO!

Is google rolling out a huge update this week?
Something's going on but not determined what yet. I've seem a fair amount of movement in the SERPs for non-US territories (UK, IE, SE, IN, DE, FR, CH, +). Assuming Google are denying a Pan-guin update of any sort there are a few theories about what it could be. Crawl based link devaluation. I'm inclined to think that this has something to do with linking but it would make sense that they include Penguin within the main algo if they can do it as they go. Specifically might have an effect on old links as well as spammy links. Alternatively might be ignoring anchor text on low PR sites. Maybe ignoring some directories specifically. Disavow data. Doubt they've had time to sort through the amount of data they've been getting, but they'll have to look at it at some point. User metrics. CTR, return to SERPs within same session, refined searches. I'm not leaning towards this one as most of what I've seen slip has been among the (if not 'the') best result. Social signal devaluation If Facebook can figure out what likes are fake then Google can probably see which 'authors' are fake. They're definitely pushing for authorship, rolling out something to figure out who's legit could have an impact, but I'm not sure authorship rank is a big enough of a part of the algo currently to affect this kind of change. EMD update. Not keen on this as a theory. Not seen anything to back it up and plenty of EMDs still up there. Google are telling lies! Somebody's made a change and they're not letting on or haven't told the people communicating the changes. Ultimately I'm shooting in the dark here. Although I'm seeing a lot of changes not all of my sites have been effected and I'm doing similar promotion for most. If anybody wants to chime in maybe we can put our heads together. I'm seeing a bit more clustering again with the same domain showing up more often in the results (though not as bad as it was). Anybody else seeing any sort of pattern?

Is something strange going on with Google last few days?? Seeing strange results for competitive keywords
Yes I am seeing some very strange results too. This morning I did a search for "http timeout error" and got a list of results that had wikipedia at the top followed by over 50 results for Time-Out magazine, not a very helpful set of results. Also since the last know updates I have notice a 40% or increase in the amout of organic traffic coming from Bing and Ask (e.g. gone up from 100 visits per day to 140 per day), has anyone else seen this?

Best place for a blog blog.mydomain.com or mydomain.com/blog
So if my site is within a week old, I have 15 or so articles already published under the new site. I'm just trying to grasp this here. I think your saying I should have 1 subdomain for my blog and the main domain is the actual website?

Do you stop link building once you have your desired rank?
One thing to remember is that even if you change nothing about your site (on-site or off-site), your competitors are still working and changing things. If keep everything the same, your competitors could still be out there working harder, and there goes your rank.

What do you do if you have been hit by recent Google updates but cannot remove the links?
like the 404 idea I will try that one. Not done any work yet trying to get them on as a client. But I want to be sure we can 100% help, no point taking the project if its not going to improve much for them. Any one else got any experience with this please chip in. Surely there must be loads of people who cannot get links removed, they can't all lose there online business due to this.

Why do Google+ review not show on my profile?
Hi James, It's important to know that it can take weeks for Google+ reviews to show up on your profile. And, if they are filtered out because Google thinks there is something spammy about them, they may not show up at all. If you saw the review appear and then disappear, I would suspect that it has been filtered out by Google - very frustrating. This is a hot topic right now. Here are some resources for you to read so that you know you're not alone in this experience: www.seomoz.org/blog/lost-your-google-reviews-take-a-proactive-stance http://blumenthals.com/blog/2012/08/20/google-on-reviews-asking-for-them-is-ok-soliciting-them-is-bad/ If the review appeared and disappeared, unfortunately, it's probably gone for good. So, this leaves you with a couple of options. List your complaint in the Google and Your Business Forum thread that I talk about in that SEOmoz piece I've linked to, above. Try to figure out what happened. Was there anything at all about your customer's review that could have triggered the trouble? Good luck, James. I know this is such a pain!

My friend seems to have been hit my Negative SEO
Thanks Kevin useful link I hope this tool does come out and we don't have to wait months. Surely would save google a bit of admin having people asking for reevaluation of their site.
