Your site is in organic results for adwords keyword - improved quality score?
The Adwords account has no bearing on organic search. One of the biggest factors of your quality score in your Adwords campaign is your CTR. Your reasoning would be correct, if your controlling more real estate on the SERP results your ads and organic listing could be positively impacting your CTR.

Meta description tags & title tags duplicate content?
Meta description tag - It is true that search engines (especially Google) have started to ignore the description tag... it is still better to create unique ones. If you create the perfect description tag... (perfect means.... perfectly representing your page) then search engines will probably decide to show the one you have given yourself. I do think that will have some value and add some credibility to your website. Meta Title tag - Never...ever.... have duplicate meta titles... bad bad bad. hope my answer helped you a bit. Ask more if you will... regards,

What are good sites to get no-follow links from?
Hello qlkasdjfw, I think it really depends on your niche. I don't particularly like Yahoo Answers because they are super well known, and are therefore more prone to spam. I try to find not-for-profit sites, local niche resource sites, government directories (like the chamber of commerce) and some relevant social platforms (but interaction is the primary goal with these of course).

How Long for Google Directory and Search.com to update with Current Dmoz.org Data?
And Google has just discontinued their directory, so the world will never know. Do let us know when you see it pop up in search.com, it'll be interesting to know how long that takes. Here's the article about Google Directory going down. http://searchengineland.com/final-nail-in-the-google-directory-coffin-86505

Local SEO... use 800 # or local, use full-street name or abbreviation?
I would go with the abreviation, as it is the most common form other people will put it up as. You might even get someone listing your business on their website unsolisited. Often i find these people will use abreviated form, and what really matters is that it matches what is in your google places. either way, pick one now, and stick with it forever. don't change it, and make sure it matches everywhere. also google definitely prefers local numbers to 1800 numbers as primary phone numbers in places page. and make sure you use their format: (123) 456-7890

Making deep links to your page on BBB or DMOZ - Effective or waste of time?
Google crawls based on a priority-system that is tied, at least in part, to the value of each page. A high-value page will be updated more often than a low-value page, theoretically. Of course, the regularity with which pages are updated on the site will have an impact on the crawl rate as well. Both DMOZ and BBB are updated fairly regularly, so my vote would be to spend your time building links to your own site rather than these other linking pages. If they haven't been spidered yet by Google, I would try tweeting them out to a few friends who, in turn, retweet them, to see if you can convince Google that it is worth taking a look at. Beyond that, don't waste your time helping someone else's page rank, build the links directly to your own.

Same IP for sites & linkbuilding - negative signal for search engines?
Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I am using amazon cloud server for some sites, I'll have to look at some creative solutions to get them on different IP blocks or IP's altogether.

Is anchor text link juice passed in internal links?
Anchor text is passed regardless if it is internal or external, essentially a link is a link no matter where it points to (a generalization sure, but true nevertheless.) What you need to be careful of is keyword stuffing. If you build all your internal links to widgets for sale in cityname it really is not going to look so good to users or search engines. Keep it civil and don't worry too much about keyword density, just make sure each page is focused on a unique set of keywords, the content is relevant, and the links that point to it from offsite contain some version of the keywords in the anchor text.

Can spammy links affect indexing?
This is a topic I feel needs extensive testing. As you have said, although google has not commented on the subject to any great degree other than best practice (with respect to relevant linking) it would appear that there is methodology out there that would suggest the comparative quality of inbound links does have an effect - Eric Ward/Adgooroo are avid promoters of "domain profile" when it comes to inbound links. The penalty side of things has only come into play recently with the PANDA update - many sites that rely only on syndicated content to exists have been penalised - as a result, perfectly legitimate sites that have syndicated content out with links in have suffered . Of course the efficiency factor comes in to play too - both from the time and effort needed to gain a high quality link, over the "loads of links in 10 minutes" through directories/blog comments/syndication. We all know that 10 high quality, relevant .edu links will earn way more brownie points than 100 "easy" links from non-relevant sources. I suspect if you took a large site with a high number of back links and reduced the number of spammy links - you might, over time, see an improvement in ranking. This is of course an assumption though, would be interesting to see if anyone has experimented.

Differences between Lynx Viewer, Fetch as Googlebot and SEOMoz Googlebot Rendering
Each tool processes pages differently, attempting to emulate the actual Googlebot crawler. You may want to jump over to SEOmoz's Help Desk to get specific info on the Moz version, however the only way to know that you'll always be able to see what Googlebot actually sees, even when the Googlebot might change over time, is to use Google Webmaster Tools. Sign into GWT, then click to "Diagnostics" and then "Fetch as Googlebot". There you'll be able to enter a URL. It may take a few minutes to get the results, but you'll see what they see.

Article Submissions - Still Worth it After Panda Update?
Now it is my turn to agree with EGOL. I would add one idea. In general I prefer not to share content but it can offer value to periodically share a selected article and gain backlinks to your site.
