As its a 2 way link - so either Gooogle may take it as reciprocal paid links too.. This is ideal to avoid 'dofollow' links - if the other site links to you too. Why to unnecessarily create confusion to eyes of Google to treat them as unnatural link / spam links

may be your site falls (unintentionally) in this category

For the other part - If the proportion is 70:30 or even worse, where 70% are low quality sites linking to you - then yes.. PS - This 70% is basis my understanding of Link building field

However, if the number of quality or high DA/PR sites are more - then they may be offsetting the spam links. Have to look at the link quality and start building from good quality sites

More and more people use robots,txt to disallow access to some administration or private folders of the site . If you dont want to hide anything then may be you can leave it blank

Bit skeptical, as due to dynamic url and some other linkage issue, google has crawled url with backslash and asterisk character

Now %5c is the encoded version of \ - backslash & %22 is encoded version of asterisk

Been the number of pages are high as you said, Make an entry in excel to note down all these 404 error pages and corresponding new page on the site

Then simply apply 301 redirect to the corresponding pages

• News & Reviews Section - Here, all news & article items are posted. Been the links of news items are primarily there. However, the pages are not duplicates, does adding noindex, follow makes sense here

Am using Joomla for over 2 yrs, there are some issues in Joomla but every issue has a solution attached to it and must say Joomla cms has mind blowing database features

For the stated issue - I see, there are 2 problems to it as mentioned :- Duplicate content and native url. It has one simple and small solution to it

• Use SH404sef to rewrite URL. The site does seems to use native url structure only. Enable SEF URL in Global configuration too. Also, it will enable to provide canonical url too. So, end result will be a clean url with canonical enabling to remove duplicate urls pointing too

302 is temporary. Its possible that the IIS Manager tool is not configured or check command to make it 301

• whats the target audience you serving.

• which are the keywords in similar segment

• what are the google trends of emerging keywords or hot search topics

Ran moz crawl, the tag pages are coming up with missing description

Is it okay if the tag been 'noindexed', though they are not coming in as duplicate one

• Has the keyword recently been searched or came into search

The keywords - high security number plates, high security plates are recently been on search in google.co.in for last 1 yr.. Hardly any link building has been done.. Still we recvd a traffic of over 1000 visitors every day 2 months back which though fallen to 150 visitors - though ranking remains intact. when ever there is a news in media the traffic increases

However, the site is ranking number 1 from the very first month till now despite of many high competition sites

So, this could apply to the site given, if the keyword competition is not much...

Hi - Early last year we activated Authorship Photo which remained in SERP till Nov'12... However, post that the Authorship Photo is not showing, neither the schema rating tags are showing in Search engines

We tried a lot by changing lot of hits and tries, still to no avail.. We have written to google twice for it (they had a link for which author whose photo now showing after everything is right can send site links )- but to no avail....

The Rich snippet shows Authorship Photo, Schema rating. Even, Google custom search on our own site own page showing it... However, this does not translated into any of these shown in actual Google Search Engines.

Even google custom search showing schema rating tags for searched keywords like :- Ford Ecosport, Tata Nano Diesel .... However, on actual search the schema tags are now shown

Can anyone suggest - what am i missing, actually lost on this...... Worse - our SERP are somehow also slowly coming down for some of the main keywords too
