just a query - when a site map is submitted , and later on when new pages n urls are been added - will it not limit google to crawl only the pages as per site map and not additional pages.

is submitting site map advisable after 1.5 yrs - especially when we are finding mostly all of pages getting indexed

we have basically 2 questions

• is submitting site map good for seo and crawling

- Does it not hinder the crawler to index the submitted pages only - as we get on close to 250 - 300 new pages monthly on site added on every month

Basis above - seek expert opinion to

- submit site map to google or not ?

• If yes - in how much time do we need to update site map

• which are good site map generator sites

been the sections have listings like

• ne old cars been added will create further listing pages

the default page of site is coming in 2 url with

- ?page=1/ sub-url

• and /sub-url

is 301 a recommended solution due to this pagination urls

Also - is it required to create separate title and meta description of every pagination page

• For the dynamic url - Yes - at the initial start - it was missed and as on its not reqd somehow - as the pages are getting indexed well and good in SERP

• For pagination - Where we needs this is like in our used car section, discount section& news section where multiple pages are created. shall we create separate title & meta description for every pagination page. is it ideally reqd ?

- 'undefined' &  /%5C%22/ is coming as per report of SEOmoz and is almost on every page of site (except of home page) with the dynamic url after domain name are preceded with these 2 strings as per moz report

how to get this corrected - want to be preventive from this duplicacy n avoid getting a hit in future even if its going well now -

• having undefined after domain name and before sub page url

• having /%5C%22/ after domain name and before the sub page url

• Due to Pagination limits

Hi - something not related directly to SEO - but a  vital factor

Need to know for any tool - by which i can take backup or save existing file permissions of all my web site files.. God forbid - in event of any unfortunate circumstance if some mis hap happens or file permissions changed accidentally - how can i get them back to the original.

Have checked source twice thoroughly - not able to trace that do follow link - to which site is that do follow link going to

In our site we have already done 301 redirect from http://  to http://www.

However, the home page links are still coming in 2 ways

We have already use rel canonical

is another 301 redirect to be used for maintaining the home page pr from seo point of view. Does google still takes both urls as separate url and finds duplicate content

• does a duplicate content by other sites - due to release distribution will take away the link benefit

• have even checked that way for yahoo directory - for some competition sites - they either dont have pr or have low pr of 1 or 2 where they are listed

pl suggest - am i missing something here with these pr news sites or is yahoo directory still a good way

Hi - i have shortlisted 3 pr news sites - prlog.org, i-newswire.com, 24-7pressrelease.com . All 3 have pr6 and have high scores.

Have 2 queries -

a) Is it worth to put backlinks - by taking a paid press release option and spend around 200$  - sole intent is to generate backlinks

b) is the combination effect of these 3 pr sites better than stand alone yahoo direct submission - as have limited budget can do either of them

Hi - we have started off with Auto Site based in India - 15 months back

The site is - www.mycarhelpline.com  - generating close to 2500 visits / daily basis. we aim to scale to new heights to touch atleast 10,000 visits / daily basis in coming 12 months

Have built site in joomla

The urls are dynamic in nature with over a year - all pages are well indexed and backlinks been built over with these dynamic urls

Need to know

• if i hire an agency to change over dynamic url to static url of these 2000 pages - will it also change all Search engine ranking positions of existing urls

• Will all the seo effort and backlinks build over 15 months will still hold valid or this will just back to square one due to change of urls

• is it advisable to get the url changed from dynamic to static one - especially when site is receiving over 75,000 visitors every month

Thanks for a detailed inspection and time spent to analyse it.

• Here, in India - a site with a .com is what is considered generic and is typed naturally instead of country specific .in or .co.in extension. Does having a .com impacts the rankings as searched in India. (Under webmaster - the geogparhical location is set as India only)

• For warnings etc - we do regularly check google webmaster and yes takes very seriously for same. However - if we remove ads (which we learned from some major adsense enabled sites - these are the best practices - for monetizing and ad positioning ) pl suggest if we are doing anything wrong here. There is just one banner ad above the text fold and one link unit

• By building links, 100% with you - but how to build do follow links from external sites - which is the best way to make backlinks - through Articles or other means
