If the profiles were in their own directory, like domain.com/profile/user1, it'd be easy to exclude /profile/ in robots.txt. However, your profiles look like they're off the root. In your software system, is there any way to add a noindex tag to profile pages, or make any type of control over indexing of types of pages?

Is there one main section (folder) of your website that has content that you want optimized? You could also set up a campaign for just that folder, such as domain.com/myimportantcontent/.

There are a number of people who would not react well to the only qualification for the Fiverr gig is being a "chick" who can read a script.

I wanted to clarify a couple of things here. Googlebot is similar to Lynx, but googlebot is not the same as Lynx. In Google Webmaster Tools, you want the Fetch as Google tool, which is detailed at https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/158587.

Can you give some background information and links about the way Google crawls and "gives prevalence"? Not quite sure what you're trying to say here.

We're doing site maintenance right now, and while things overall have been stable, there have been a couple of blips to the database. Tonight's the first time in many, many months I've encountered losing a reply. For the next couple of hours, to be on the safe side, it'd be good to copy your response.

In Google Webmaster Tools, if you view the site as Googlebot, can you see anything? Or does Google only see the information that you need to download flash?

A fourth possibility is that there are some URLs that are duplicates and should be fixed, which will help you in the search engines as well as reduce your number of URLs crawled.

• Are both www and non-www indexed?
• Are there a bunch of URL parameters indexed, such as six different ways to sort items?
• Are tracking parameters enabled and creating 50 versions of the same page?

We actually just upgraded to 50,000 URLs per site. Are you hitting this new limit?

This was the limit in the past, and at some point it was removed, and we discovered there was some extreme abuse of the system. We put back into place the 400 kws a day via the keyword difficulty tool a couple of days ago. We are open to modifying it if needed to meet your needs but make sure that our service availability is not impacted. [note: this doesn't mean that each individual user would get custom limits, we're just looking for what people use and figure out reasonable limits].

Do you often do more than 400 kws a day? Can you share the normal load used by your team?

If the site is the one in your profile, I'd also look at your content. The couple of items I looked at had stock descriptions from the manufacturer, and you'll be competing against the manufacturer and everyone else out there selling the identical item.

Before you start promoting the site, you'll want to be clear in your mind and on the site what your point of difference is. What does your site have to offer that other, more established sites, are lacking? Why is it a good candidate for someone to link to or write about? Why should a user buy from your store and not another?

One other item of note is that the search engines often choose their own title and snippet to display in the SERPs, even if you've specified something in your code, so you don't know if the person actually saw the title or description that you used.

Try to remove as many of the bad links as possible, and disavow he remaining bad links. The references I provided earlier are a good place to start.

Is there a reason the panoramic images would need anything different than regular images?

First, go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and verify your site in Google Webmaster Tools. You can then see if Google has any messages for you.

A recent thread at http://moz.com/community/q/need-referrals-on-expert-to-clean-up-unnatural-links-and-submit-reconsideration-request discusses some posts that Marie Haynes has written that have information about unnatural links, and some of the advice could be valuable to you.

First step though is to see what Google has to say in Webmaster Tools.

Thomas, you responded with a bunch of links, but not too much information to put them in context. At this point, I think the redirect between www and non-www is the least of the worries. More concerning is the links and that this is an industry that is not legal world-wide and faces intense competition and often shady tactics when it comes to optimization.

Also, some of the links to that site don't look like they're of the best quality. Have you looked at Open Site Explorer to see some of the links coming in to the domain?

I'm seeing links to the site on pages with over 9,000 blog comments (that have no other content), and an .edu page from 2009 with 2600 spam comments.

When I go to Google and search site:sportsbettingdeal.com, I see hundreds of pages indexed. It sounds like you are indexed, but perhaps not ranking. Have you verified your site in Google Webmaster Tools and looked for any messages there?
