Can you let us know how one can opt-out of being on your list of targeted sites? I do believe many people would find it useful to not have to manually reject such gems as the following comment spintax that was on the homepage:

"{lackluster|boring}... I miss your {tremendous|super|great} {posts|articles|writing}. Past {few|several} posts are just {a little bit|a little|a bit} out of track!"

You can't re-run a campaign, but you can do an independent crawl test of up to 3000 URLs at http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/crawl-test that should help you out.

A point of clarification here related to the first part of your answer. Google does not use PA and DA, those are Moz metrics. They're not looking at the Moz metrics for a site when they use their algorithms.

You shouldn't need the client's username and password. Ask the client to add your Google Account to their list of accounts authorized to view their Google Analytics data. You then give your Google Account info to SEOmoz and it'll be hooked up that way.

And consider using negative keywords, such as free, used, sucks, giveaway, refund, recall, etc. What type of people do you NOT want to show your ad to?

No time at all if you want to rank for a 12 word phrase that nobody searches for, or if you use a search engine that is easily gamed. Eons if you are trying to rank on the first page of Google in the US for a generic one word keyword like "cars" or "loans".

I'm going to guess at what has happened, and let me know if I'm correct.

You are wanting backlinks for your site, and someone has told you you need to choose the keywords and write the articles, and they will post the articles so you get backlinks?

Because I'm staff and Q&A is one of the main parts of my job, this forum is obviously the place in which I spend the most time. After that, my must-read is Search Engine Roundtable. Barry watches many of the forums and will gather the best tidbits and write about them on SER. I scan inbound.org and my twitter feed for interesting information.

You might try a custom crawl, which will crawl up to 3000 pages and should take a few hours, up to 24 hours. It's available at http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/crawl-test.

Someone on Twitter had this same issue, and discovered (after much investigating and initial overlooking by the AdWords staff) that their ads were "stuck in eligible status purgatory" and wouldn't run on top unless fully approved. You might look to see the status of your ads and make sure that's OK.

Or if the website has notes saying to contact them to advertise or buy links, or if they're part of a network with a footprint that's easy to detect (do a search for 'build my rank'), etc. Any number of ways.

I would not sign up for such a service without knowing what you are doing. Those types of services are not well liked on SEOmoz in general. It looks like they take an article, possibly spin it (change around words), and submit it to several hundred article directories. This will not help you. People don't read that content, and Google doesn't give it any positive value.

Right now, I would spend your time and money writing content for your own site so that it will help your customers and that it will attract links. Be the place everyone wants to go to find out information on stickers. How thick is the craft paper sticker? When would I want to use it? Can I print full color? Where are your artwork guidelines? What type of turnaround time do you have? Can you ship to the US? Are you local only? Can you do serial numbers on your parking permits?

Contact the customer service or help people, and find out what questions they get via email and the phone, and answer those questions on the web. You get good content and reduce the amount of support the people need to provide.

The crawl test is separate from the campaigns (as you can run it on any subdomain as you wish). The crawls are two subdomains in 24 hours. Hope this helps!

Hi Scott,

You'll be wanting to look into using Negative Keywords in your PPC campaign. If there are a handful of names that come up, you can exclude those names. You could perhaps get a list of common first names and exclude those.

You may want to adjust match types in your campaign so you're not paying for broad match and getting off-base inquiries.

Adjusting the ad title to make it clear that you do house painting (if that's what you do) and not portrait painting may reduce clicks for people looking for the wrong type of painting.

You can consider adding all kinds of portrait and mural painting terms as negative keywords to help make your ad show to just the right types of people searching for painting. It may also give you some ideas, and a some lists of keywords that may help you.

This one just don't pass the sniff test. Think about it -- does a site with "This blog does contain content which might present a conflict of interest. This content may not always be identified." in its disclaimer seem like one that would get such a high trust from Google? What about a post about Las Vegas that offers few details and no outbound links?

OSE does update about once a month. While it's not updated every day, you're not going to see something go from a DA of 5 to a DA of 95 (which would correlate more with a PR of 9 or 10) in just a month.

Google has guidance on what qualifies a a high-quality site and questions to ask yourself at http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/05/more-guidance-on-building-high-quality.html. Some of the questions are excerpted below. This site doesn't meet many of those guidelines.

• Would you trust the information presented in this article?
• Is this article written by an expert or enthusiast who knows the topic well, or is it more shallow in nature?
• Does the site have duplicate, overlapping, or redundant articles on the same or similar topics with slightly different keyword variations?
• Would you be comfortable giving your credit card information to this site?
• Does this article have spelling, stylistic, or factual errors?
• Are the topics driven by genuine interests of readers of the site, or does the site generate content by attempting to guess what might rank well in search engines?
• Does the article provide original content or information, original reporting, original research, or original analysis?
• Does the page provide substantial value when compared to other pages in search results?
• How much quality control is done on content?
• Does the article describe both sides of a story?
• Is the site a recognized authority on its topic?
• Is the content mass-produced by or outsourced to a large number of creators, or spread across a large network of sites, so that individual pages or sites don’t get as much attention or care?
• Was the article edited well, or does it appear sloppy or hastily produced?
• For a health related query, would you trust information from this site?
• Would you recognize this site as an authoritative source when mentioned by name?
• Does this article provide a complete or comprehensive description of the topic?
• Does this article contain insightful analysis or interesting information that is beyond obvious?
• Is this the sort of page you’d want to bookmark, share with a friend, or recommend?
• Does this article have an excessive amount of ads that distract from or interfere with the main content?
• Would you expect to see this article in a printed magazine, encyclopedia or book?
• Are the articles short, unsubstantial, or otherwise lacking in helpful specifics?
• Are the pages produced with great care and attention to detail vs. less attention to detail?
• Would users complain when they see pages from this site?

Your site DOES appear in Google. If you search for site:stickerapt.com in Google, you'll see your site. That's a good sign! I also found your site when I looked for some text on your home page in Google, as well as searching for StickerApt.

So, you are in Google, but you are having some trouble ranking for your keywords.

Google will keep coming back to your site, so it will find new content.

I would add the content to your existing pages. It will help your customers, and it will help Google.

Look in Google Webmaster Tools for any notices that you may have about your site.

You do want backlinks, but you want QUALITY backlinks. Submitting your content to 500 article directories is not a quality backlink. A quality backlink could be from the real estate agent who uses your stickers, from your chamber of commerce listing you as a member, from someone writing about projects using custom stickers, etc.

One other thing to consider is finding a list of online payments people may be looking for, and add those as negatives. I searched for 'online bill pay directory' and found that Chase has a list of people that they will do a bill pay for at http://chasepayeedirectory.com/chasebiller/home.html. It's in flash and not easily grabbed in text format, but it's a start.
