I personally favor the .com, as it's shorter and makes more sense, and more people are aware of .com domains.

The next thing I would focus on is why should people come to your site as opposed to the dozens of others out there on the web already that offer baby hazel games. What do you offer that they don't have? Think about about your unique selling proposition as you put together your site.

Could it be that FollowerWonk is looking for just both of those words on the page, instead of as a phrase? Sorry for the delay in response, as I was out on vacation for a week.

Moz doesn't have quite the number of servers that Google does (or even Bing), so we are not able to crawl as deeply into as many sites. If we crawled all of a site like YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook, we wouldn't be able to crawl anything else at all. It's likely that your links just don't have enough authority at the moment to be picked up. The important part is that Google should know they are there.

I sent a DM to the owner of the site (who is not a Pro member) and he said they don't have plants to release the tools to the public anymore, that they're private tools now.

I'll leave this question marked unanswered in case anyone can chime in with help on the customizable checklists.

If you get your page to stay, you may have a tricky time making it accurate. We've battled with the SEOmoz/Moz Wikipedia pages. Despite extensive notes in the Talk page from Rand, there are still a ton of inaccuracies in the page (last time I looked).

That's one where you do want a 404 returned! That should be fine, and kudos to you for having made a custom page.

Can you tell us a little on the history of this site, and how your traffic is doing? It looks like you have several spammy looking pages, and a lot of spammy comments coming to the site as well when I look in Open Site Explorer. You have more issues than just code validation. Is this a site you put together and you did linkbuilding on, or something that someone else did and you're now taking it over and trying to clean it up? Some context with your involvement and knowledge of SEO will give us a hand in helping to educate you and point you in the right direction.

Can you say what industry? Do the people meet with clients at a particular location?

Hi Sha, we know about the bug in the profile and we're working on it, though it's not the highest priority at the moment. If you look at the actual comment itself, you'll see the proper number of thumbs.

Donnie (and others), I personally wasn't here when the decision was made to have a thumbs down without requiring an explanation. Having gotten thumbs down myself, I know how frustrating it is to not know why someone thumbed something down. However, I've also seen the positive side -- you can show disagreement with a post, comment, or answer without being required to add to a potential flame war. Craigslist forums work similar, where you can see the number of plus and minus points an individual comment has. Rather than a suggestion having three responses of "this sucks", three downvotes indicates people don't like the idea but do prevent name calling in the comments.

Another thing thumbs down are good for is alerting us to spam or comments that go against our guidelines. We do keep an eye on what is thumbed down, and that's an easy way to call out a potential problem to us.

Have your images been optimized for the web? Perhaps with the smush.it plugin? Making sure that if it's a fairly simple image it's only taking up 20k and not 100k. Perhaps there are images on the page getting all the traffic that make for a nice header, but you could remove or replace with an image that's a smaller file size? Are there widgets loading facebook and twitter information that could be temporarily disabled?

While you only asked about the code, you're going to want to get rid of that word spinner plugin, and take a fresh look at your site from the eyes of a potential customer. Perfectly valid code is going to do little or nothing for your bottom line if a customer comes to your site and finds you talking about "temporary internet minutes", or a copy of Zillow housing prices. They're also not going to come to your site from a comment on a online newspaper from someone who is named "Antiques" and makes a comment saying "Im glad I stumbled onto it. Have a good day And Check me out" that links to your site.

Try disabling some of your plugins and see how your code is. What plugins do you have? I have a feeling you have some you don't need, especially the ones that are there listing the search terms that came into your site, the ones spinning text, etc.

No, for two different reasons.

1. You are not local to New York City.

2. Web design is not considered a local business by Google, and has not been for several years. Even if you were in New York City, you wouldn't be able to show up in local for web design.
