Relevant Link, but Low DA...good idea?
I'd investigate the amount of quality content as opposed to the DA since I have a few sites with DAs lower than 20, especially with the drop that happened before thanksgiving. However, my domains lack backlinks but have more quality content than every single competitor out there in our niche, this in my opinion is google's flaw, using backlinks as the major deciding factor of DA is a big mistake and subjected to much manipulation, such sadness, ( little doge humor ). You never know how active the domain in question is, and if they have the quality content, you could safely land a nice backlink on a site that will become the authority in their niche causing you to also get a boost. Like the above post mentions, SEO hat should come off unless you see some sloppy work that will continue to hold a site back. Or you could use the highlighting of said sloppy work, add some corrections and secure that backlink for years to come at the same time helping that site raise their DA in general. It's time we stop just being focused on ourselves and start lending hands across the net, building backlinks yes, but lasting networks as well. We're all in this together, let's act like it! This community is a great example of what is lacking in the overall web in general. We are the change.

How to find best local websites?
Hi Ruben, One of our staff members wondered if setting advanced Google search parameters in the Moz Bar and combining that with a GPS emulator might get you further along in the process. There are such apps for mobile devices, but I'm not sure of one for desktop. I will say, I'm more used to approaching this from a citation angle, where you are looking for the top ranked sites for specific terms in hopes of hopping aboard there, but I think what you're describing is somewhat similar. I hope these thoughts are helpful.

Directories and Domain Authority
Ruben, In my experience posting to directories does not have any negative influence on a site. Keep in mind the quality of the directory does matter. It is beneficial to have a site listed on particular directories. However, if you're going to spend the time building visibility of a site, there's better ways to spend your time. Another idea would be to create business profiles for the site. These are opportunities to create a profile with a phone number, URL, and a description of the site or business where keywords can be used. Again certain sites are better than others, so choose wisely. If you would like more information on this please let me know. Nick

Dealing with Omitted Page
Usually a page is omitted because it's very similar to another page on your site, and Google has determined that the other page is more important. Since the category page is probably higher up in your site architecture, it would make since that Google would rank the other page. Now that you've put the effort into making your landing page more unique, I would give that a chance to rank. One thing you can do is find additional places on your site to point some internal links to your landing page, and try to build some links from other sites to that page as well. That will help you tell Google "hey, this page is important." Good luck!

How are 279 Characters Displaying in a Meta Description?
I didn't provide the query, but I'm glad I didn't. If I had, then you wouldn't have guessed, and we both wouldn't have noticed how the other phrasing changed the meta length. Not sure how relevant it is to overall SEO strategy, but makes me curious as to why. Ruben

Does it matter how or what site you use to GeoTag your photos?
Hi Ruben, I agree with Dmitrii that it shouldn't matter what program you use, so long as the tags are readable by Google. The only benefit I can think of for going with one service over another would be if some popular product happens to increase your chances that customers might see your stuff, but I honestly haven't ever seen that documented.

Do ratings/reviews show up in Organic Search Results anymore?
Hi Ruben, Back in 2014, Google stated that they don't want markup on testimonials on your website. You can read about this here and figure out how you'd like to proceed, given this policy: http://www.localsearchforum.com/google-local/26385-say-what-google-says-dont-add-review-markup-your-customer-reviews.html This caused quite a bit of talk at the time, and I don't believe all sites are complying, but important to know. Regarding third party reviews you are republishing on your site, I have not seen individual reviews coming up with stars on them for some time, but this seems to change so frequently. For example, up until recently, I was seeing Facebook listings coming up in Google's SERPs with stars on them. Now, that appears to have changed. So, I'm not sure what, if anything, you could do right now to get individual reviews posted on your website to show up with stars in the SERPs. If anyone has seen a different pattern, please do share with Ruben!

How many times have you reauthorized your facebook account for Moz analytics?
Two's company, three's a crowd. Getting third-party connections to always play nice can be aggravating from time to time. Hopefully it gets cleaned up for you soon Ruben. Cheers!

Is eLocal a scam or legitimate directory for local SEO?
Hi Miriam, Here is a screenshot. It may not look all the terrible, but Hollywood Hills is nowhere near us (other side of the state), and we've never had anything close to that phone number. It says a bunch of stuff in addition to the screenshot, but the rest of the stuff is just a boilerplate "how to contact us to get this changed" message. Ruben bDCSu9Z.jpg?1
