In my opinion - no, as Ifa as I understand Gooogle doesn't look too favourably at the, maybe it assumes that a page with no links from inside its own website has little or no importance.

Meta keywords haven't been used for over a decade

RE: Sudden drop in traffic in April and stagnant since then
Hello,
Look through Google Search Console & see what pages have dropped, compare March to June 2018, if you could post that report somewhere I can assist you from there.
As Kevin mentioned, did you change the site at all?

RE: Is It Beneficial to 'Like' My Clients Google Reviews?
Hi there, it certainly won't harm anything, unless you work in a large office & everyone does it around the same

RE: Same subcategory in different main categories
Personally, I don't see what you need to use canonical tags with the example URLs you supplied
The need only be used if the page/ produce at the end of the URL(s) is the same
-
RE: Looking for a Tool to Find Referring Pages of Specific URLs
Hello Aspirant, recommend using the Moz Link Explorer tool

RE: Will duplicate product information paragraphs negatively impact our site?
Hello,
How much of the copy is unique per page?
WRT to content originality, I've worked to is 80% unique content per page as a general rule.

- Place the mouse over image
- Right click
- Scroll to the Copy Image Address

What are you trying to achieve, what are you using the pipe symbol for?

RE: 301 Old domain with HTTPS to new domain with HTTPS
Hello,
Add:
# Canonical https/www
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off [OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www. [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.%1/$1 [R=301,L]To the .http access file on your web server

RE: How to get rid of Google's manual action penalty on spammy schema markup?
In your GSC account, go to Manual actions & REquest Review for the homepage of the site.

RE: Vertical pip in HTML
It's usually reserved for programming or as a separator on a page's meta-title. Unless you're writing mathematical equations, I can envisage any other use for it!

RE: SEO value of 301 redirects from non-existent sites.
Waste of money, no SEO value at all
-
RE: Should I move to EMD
I'd go for the EMD, for the reasons stated above, since you've gone to the expense of buying an EMD.
But, strictly speaking, if you market your product correctly people would search for that, not the company name. Also, Goole auto-corrects mistyped domains, so a hard to spell wors is no longer an issue.

RE: Looking for list Pro's & Con's of removing Folder from URL?
There are no cons (that I can see) to losing the "/shop-by-department/" folder, the new URL structure you illustrated is better as it offers an opportunity to add pertinent keywords.
Just be sure you have your 301 redirects set up correctly.

RE: Amp plugins + Wordpress = speed, rankings, results
This was tried at my Agency a few months ago, it was a waste of time, in my opinion, unless you're running a News service.
I'd focus on optimising your site & upgrade your hosting solution.

RE: Why do SEO agencies ask for access to our Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager?
The simple answer I use in response to my clients is that GTM is for setting up more accurate tracking & Google Search Console (GSC) is for more accurate reporting.
For a more in-depth explanation, Moz has some useful articles
- https://moz.com/blog/an-introduction-to-google-tag-manager
- https://moz.com/blog/a-beginners-guide-to-the-google-search-console
Also, I recommend that you ask the agencies you're talking to what the track, measure & report on.

RE: Redirect Chain
I've had a look at your site & you have
- http://rogerlapin.co.uk/ - Status code 301 - redirect URL to https://rogerlapin.co.uk/
- https://rogerlapin.co.uk/ - Status code 301 - **redirect URL **https://www.rogerlapin.co.uk/
- https://www.rogerlapin.co.uk/ - Status code 200
You're using number 3 (above) as your URL, so, my suggestion is to set both the redirect URLs for 1 & 2 (above) to https://www.rogerlapin.co.uk/ instead of the chain you currently appear to have in place.
