RE: A number of times you should use your keyword in a guest blog
The quality of the copy is more important than the number of times that the keyword is used, I aim for a 3% keyword density; regardless of the purpose of the copy.

RE: We recently updated a large guide that takes the place of the original. The original has some nice organic traffic to it and I don't want to risk losing it. Should I 301 redirect to the new version, or update all the info directly on the original page?
If it's an updated article, then update the page, ensure that the URL remains the same though, clearly, the subject matter is in demand.

RE: Keywords in URL
Whilst targeted keyword URLs in is good practice, at this stage of the game I'd just stick to updating page copy, meta data, alt tags etc. Updating the URLS would require a large amount of affort, when you take getting 301s in to account, My advice woould be to create new a new URL structure as & when new products come on line

RE: Link building strategies
As bagia advised - you should target High DA sites, mix nofollow and dofollow link. The higher the DA the better the results will be; you'll rank higher quicker, but, lower DAs will get you a much more natural back link profile.
My only addition would be (whenever possible) to try connect to relevant sites, those in a similar industry as yours.
PR is OK if its genuine.
Directory submissions should be reserved for local SEO these days.

RE: Duplicate content in sidebar
Hello,
I'd say not, in the same sense that having a NAP in the websites footer doesn't have any negative effects on a website SEO ranking, in this specific content its the opposite

RE: Should I noindex WooCommerce subcategories?
I agree with effectdigital, keep them in.

RE: A number of times you should use your keyword in a guest blog
Whatever works for you, at times some calculation of keyword density may be required to avoid overuse.

RE: Query for paginated URLs - Shopify
My preference is to treat these types of pages as dynamic URLs & block them in the robots.txt
Disallow: /?
Disallow: /=But, since you can't do this in Shopify, then you need to manually add the code in to the pagination pages (somehow).
I got the HTML code from

RE: How does Google handle fractions in titles?
Hello, out of interest why not just use the word "half"? I have a feeling that most people would use the word, not the fraction especially on a mobile device; where you'd be required to swap between the alphabetical & numerical keyboards.

RE: Is this considered duplicate content?
Hello kekepeche,
- Citing your sources is good practice & you'll;l avoid aby potential penalisation.
- Google is clever enough to 'know' the original [older] content source
- Use regular links since you're citing the original authors
- If you can get your writer to rewrite some source content to make it 80%+original this would be better for your SEO campaigns as it's technically original content so will rank better - Though, take care as not to infringe copyright

RE: What website changes (technical) SEOs can ignore confidently? Google's perspective!
Hello,
Personally, I wouldn't ignore any SEO changes, I'd ask your SEO company to itemise the changes & provide a rationale for those updates.
I've recently had a client that lost all of thir DA & took a steep dive in organic traffic, as a result of another company's lack of attention to their SEO campaign management.

RE: Spam Score and You
Hi there, personally I only ever worry about SPAM scores over 80%, I don't consider SSL as an issue; especially for older links.

RE: Miriam's 7 Local SEO Predictions for 2019
Great read Miriam, It'll be interesting to see how the social media landscape will actually change, people may leave Facebook, but _may _come back once the noise dies down; there is no real competition to them. Just like Bing & Google!

RE: Our Sites Organic Traffic Went Down Significantly After The June Core Algorithm Update, What Can I Do?
Hi there,
What efforts have you made to date?
Have you audited the site in more detail?
- Where the drops occurred via Search Console?
- What keywords dropped the most & when
- Audited your website to see if there are any technical issue?
- Conducted a backlink audit - do you acquire backlinks
You appear to lack the basics such as:
- meta-data
- alt tags
- substantial content, possibly due to the lack of a content strategy
25% by the end of the month doesn't sound realistic, an external agency probably won;t turn anything around in less than a few months.

Hello,
In the Campaign Settings > Site Basics is there any to find out whether the account is tracking HTTP or HTTPS, or doesn't it matter as it'll track them all?
