It will be another sad loss but not a deal breaker, and from a business perspective, completely understandable.

RE: Onpage SEO before Offpage?
I agree with Matthew. However, I suppose it would depend on what your current site is like. If you can get your google + or facebook campaign rolling now without much effort then go for it, but if you are starting the whole process from the beginning, then on page is where you need to be first.

RE: Site being targeted by hardcore porn links
That's good. Sorry, but I had missed the part where you said your clients site was compromised previously....

RE: Site being targeted by hardcore porn links
Hi Matthew,
Sorry to hear this, and it's not good news. As to how/why it's happened, I can only guess one of two resaons. Either someone who knows nothing about SEO has decided s/he would "help" the whole SEO process and buy some links in. Or, and possibly more likely it may be a competitor who is doing a negative SEO campaign with the desire to lower your organic rankings, ensuring you will be penalised by Google.
You can now use the Google Webmaster tools and use the disavow tool to tell Google to ignore those links.
Hope that helps and all the best.

RE: Does adding a well scripted and produced video help significantly in conversions from visits to my divorce lawyer website to calls for my services?
How well does your site rank at the moment for you primary keywords? I know you haven't indicated that you expect better rankings, but from experience, many people think this will be the magic bullet to get them ranked...it won't make the difference - just to say.
I suppose it will depend on the video. Divorce is a highly emotive subject and it may depend on how you, or others on the video are viewed by those same emotive people. Do you have a face that suits radio or are you a warm person that conveys care and trust?
Maybe the business is aimed at "we'll screw the best deal out of your husband, and then screw him over as well..." - hey, some may love that tactic.
Ultimately, people buy from people, and if they trust what is being shown on the screen, you have a good chance of increasing conversions.
The last thing I would say is don't trust your own judgement - get a decent consensus of opinion of who should be shown on the film.
Hope that helps.

RE: Two sides of my business
By putting your contact details in your 2nd site as a jpeg - therefore not readable - you can overcome the problem.

RE: Has anyone seen this before? One domain dominates the entire first page!
I've had it happen with one of my clients. Whilst they were excited, I told them A) It wasn't a good thing, and B) It wasn't going to last.
It probably took about 2 weeks before the google algorithm made some changes and it ended up with just one or two entries on the 1st page.

RE: Google Adwords - trying to understand the figures...
Thanks Chris. Yes, some of these can indeed differ when exact type is chosen, but it's not the case all the time..

RE: Google Adwords - trying to understand the figures...
dare I ask what keyword tool you do use?

Google Adwords - trying to understand the figures...
Whilst researching keywords I often find the global monthly search on google adwords tool differs, yet the local (UK) is the same (or vice versa)
Example:
ready mix concrete - global 90,500 & local 18,100
ready mixed concrete - global 60,500 & local 18,100
or
forklift truck hire - global 18,100 & local 4,400
forklift truck rental - global 22,200 & local 4,400I'm making an assumption that for my local country, the phrases ready mix" and "ready mixed" are being treated the same, as are "hire" and "rental" but globally they are not. Am I correct?
Of course, they could be two completely separate terms according to Google but coincidentally, have the same search volume. However, I find this happens quite regularly.
Anybody shed any light?

RE: Where Can I Find Freelance Writer? Content free from Copyscape
Couldn't agree more!
I once started working with my brother who had been a landscape gardener for donkeys years. The first client we went to, I was down on the ground pretending to know all about different types of grass. The client turned to my brother and said "he talks a lot of crap doesn't he... new at the job?"
Hire a professional, who knows his onions (or blades of grass) and don't try to do anything on the cheap.

RE: Can I add more then 3 competitors do my SEO moz pro account?
So far, there is only the ability to track three. There has been talk of increasing this up to five (which is a number many people seem keen on) but even doing that is an increase n these specific resources of 66%. I don't think it's as simple as just creating an extra few spaces on the form.
Maybe you could put a request in for an increase - the more we tell the team what we would like, the more they will prioritize the important requests.

RE: SEO Company that bills on results?
You will find that those companies that "produce results" will provide some form of shady metrics or guarantees. Let's be honest - choose any set of long tail words - the more obscure the better, and anyone on this forum can get you to no1 on Google. It's not difficult, but equally, it's not ethical or useful.
As has been recommended, either go for a company that is highly recommend or be prepared to offer a budget that will make the difference.

RE: Competitor in 70% of results?
How long have you been tracking your competitors results? I ask because I've been on the receiving end - I've had a site I was working on take up all but 2 positions in the top 150 spaces.
However, google soon sorted that out - and whilst the site still ranks no1 for many of it's keywords, after a couple of weeks, most of the positions had disappeared.
If you've been watching the rankings for months however and it's still the same, then I;m not sure - can you post the domain and keyword?

RE: Keyword Analysis Report - How long till ready
Nope, all is fine. I've known it to take 24 hours, but usually 12.

RE: Is it possible to change the order of my campaigns?
That's not a hack - it's intelligence - it doesn't count!

RE: Is it possible to change the order of my campaigns?
Thanks Joel - I've just done that. Let's see how it progresses....

Is it possible to change the order of my campaigns?
I've just upgraded from a PRO to a PRO PLUS account (as if I need more caffine!) and wondered if it were possible to change the order of the campaigns?
They seem to be in alphabetical order - which is no problem, but I'm not actually running all the campaigns - I'm only monitoring a few potential sites, so don't want to see them at the top?
it's only a niggle, not a gripe, but wondered it it were possible - or if not, can I show more than 5 campaigns at once rather than scrolling.
As always, thanks in advance.

RE: On page report card - small niggle
Thanks for that. I've seen that, but assumed because the contents were empty, it was OK.
I guess my problem is that it's part of the template, so not sure how to remove it. I'll keep digging.

On page report card - small niggle
I've been carefully making page corrections and trying to get each age in line with SEOMoz recommendations.
However, under the section marked Optional (and I realise I could just ignore it!) it tells me to "Avoid Using Meta Keywords Tag".
However, none of the pages have any meta keywords in. They have a meta description, but no keywords. I have also removed any global keywords.
Is the software wrong, or are there some more hidden somewhere....
