I'm just reaching out to get some help with regards to Adwords bidding. I find we are great at comprehensively setting up a campaign but struggle to know exactly what to do regarding setting the bid at the right amount for a keyword.

Our current strategy is to maximise Impression share for keywords and therefore we generally look to endeavour to adjust bids to maximize this metric.

Is there are good process to use for Adwords bidding or something someone can direct me to in order to uncover the things to consider when adjusting this bidding amount?

Loving this new Moz Tool!

As a matter of convenience, it would be great to efficiently conduct a backlink analysis of competitors in the SERP Analysis to expediently check their link profile. Can moz link "Linking RDs To Root Domain" to its Open Explorer tool to open up in a new tab the backlink profile of that domain name that is listed in the top 10 organic results? That would be super convenient!

We have built various links in directories and blogs to our website. We can clearly see that these links have been established on these websites. Some we have built well over 6 months ago.

However, upon using a range of tools such as Moz Open Explorer, Cognitive SEO Backlink Explorer and SEM Rush's Backlink Checker, we cannot see in any of these backlink checking tools the full spectrum of links we know we have built displayed. In instances of using these tools, we are only seeing a very small sample of links that we have built.

Our question here is then threefold:

1. Why is it that a lot of these tools don't pick up the links we know we have built?
2. Does google eventually see all the links we have built? Or does it suffer from the same problem as backlink checkers, unable to identify all built links?
3. Is there a backlink checker that is throughly comprehensive, or close to, in its ability to identify all links? We have heard good things about Ahrefs and would love to hear people's thoughts here.

When we do a search for our brand, we are get the following results in google.com.au (see image attachment).

As outlined in red, there are listings in Google that result in 404 Page Not Found URLs.

What can we do to enable google to do a recrawl or to ensure that these broken URLs are no longer listed in Google?

Our client has an established driveways business, "A", that has been servicing higher end customers. This business has GMB and citations built. He has now started another driveways business, "B" that targets mid-class customers. This second business operates out of the same office with the same phone no. A Google rep has advised that the 2nd business will not be able to have a GMB of its own if it's operating out of the same address as the 1st business.

How would you actually tackle citation building and creating a GMB for this second business?? Would appreciate any advice!!

We are looking to optimize our website so that the loading speed is reduced and won't cause any problems for SEO.

Is there a suitable free tool anyone can recommend that will allow us to easily see which webpages need reduction and can prescribe which images or other web elements on webpages may need to be better optimized?

We are looking for an ideally free suitable rank checking tool to perform a keyword analysis. Previously we used Firefox Rank Checker but currently this is not working effectively as it once did.

We use Authority Labs as a paid tool to track rankings but this is a rank tracking platform and not so effective for a once-off rank check to perform a keyword analysis.

Any thoughts, help or ideas here would be super appreciated!

We have an issue with a site that we can't get to the bottom of. This site: (URL removed) is not being properly indexed.

When we do a search for (URL removed) in google.com.au. The site appears as the 4th listing with the following title and description:

(Title removed)

A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more.

We have checked the site's robots.txt and can see its been now implemented correctly: (URL removed)

About a week ago, we also went into  Webmaster Tools and submitted a request for Google to recrawl our site.

We are unsure what the issue is that is causing the site to not be properly indexed and how to resolve it. Any assistance on this topic would be most appreciated!

Thanks Moosa, the brand name actually isn't mentioned on his page. As we know, Google sometimes has a funny way of crafting its own tags from its algorithms. Thanks for your feedback though regarding kicking it back by creating other profiles!

We have an issue in that when someone enters our new brand name "68 degrees creative" into google.com.au, the following results show:

The second result is the Linked In page for Hiroshi. This is a person that was part of our old business but is no longer part of the new business (68 degrees creative). And therefore, his LinkedIn profile should not be appearing for this search as he has nothing to do with the new brand.

In his LinkedIn profile, he has made no mention of our organisation 68 degrees creative. He also does not feature on our website: www.68degrees.com.au. We can therefore only conclude that the reason he is appearing for the search "68 degrees creative" is that Google has somehow connected him with the new organisation due to previous online ties and relationships which Google has determined by virtue of that associated him with the new organisation. We are ultimately unsure what their algorithm is in establishing this.

Is there any way in which we can change this? We don't want his LinkedIn profile appearing when our company name is searched when he has not part of the company.

We have an issue with Google finding our website: (URL removed)

When we google "(keyword removed)" in google.com.au, our website doesn't come up anywhere. This is despite inserting the suitable title tag and onsite copy for SEO. We found this strange, and thought we'd investigate further.

We decided to just google the website URL in google.com.au, to see if it was being properly found. Our site appeared at the top but with this description: A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. We also can see that the incorrect title tag is appearing.

From this, we assumed that there must be an issue with the robot.txt file. We decided to put a new robot.txt file up: (URL removed)

This hasn't solved the problem though and we still have the same issue. If someone could get to the bottom of this for us, we would be most appreciative. We are thinking that there may possibly be another robot.txt file that we can't find that is causing issues, or something else we're not sure of!

We want to get to the bottom of it so that the site can be appropriately found. Any help here would be most appreciated!

Does anyone know of a tool (paid and free) that allows you to collect all comments made about a specific brand/business across social media, blogs and online news? Many of our clients are wanting 'insights' on their brand/business and would like people's views, as expressed via social media, blogs and online news to inform this.

Scoopon type sites like this can be an effective way to generate sales for a business, I'm just wondering if these types of sites also have added value for SEO as sites like these do have a strong Domain Authority?

We have a relevant external website that is linking to our site through an image.

What ideally should the alt text of this image be?

Should it just be non-commercial as generally advised with the anchor text of an external link? Or should it include where suitable relevant keywords?

If managing a number of client's Instagram accounts, it seems using an app on a desktop might be more efficient than continually logging in and out of Instagram on a smartphone.

Can anyone suggest though suitable apps that actually enable this to be done effectively for multiple clients? Ideally managing all on the one platform without having to sign in and out would be ideal. Also a free app would obviously be preferred to paid, but open to both.

I'm wanting to do a comprehensive Adwords Keyword map in excel before implementing it to an Adwords account. This would involve planning my Ad groups and listing keywords in each group.

I've read RIchard Stokes Ultimate Guide to PPC advertising to do this effectively and find his process a sound one. He endorses the use of his product Adgooroo's SEM Insights to do this analysis comprehensively. However, it appears that this product is quite costly and I'm looking for a more cost-effective solution.

Can anyone give me some recommendations or alternative other than the Google Keyword Planner Tool to do a thorough analysis and thereby produce and import mass lists of keywords into my Adwords Campaign?
