There are many freelancers out there and also websites that are dedicated to finding freelancers, I suppose it would be like selling a cup. Would you first search Google for cups for sale or visit eBay and type in cups.

The website looks very nice, I would maybe remove some of the retro looking stock imagery of smiley male models and maybe place some imagery of yourself onto the website so it is more inviting and personal.

I'd also look into local networking meetings to get your name out there.

Do not use any pay $50 dollars for x amount of links etc as these may give you a slight boost short term but will affect you in the long term.

They add links to comments of blogs with all different topics and content so they are not trusted and have low page ranks.

In order to allow crawlers to to access the site, you would need to either remove the / after Disallow or change Disallow to Allow.

If you specifically want to allow the Moz crawler, you can insert the following directive above the current directive that is in the .htaccess

User-agent: rogerbot
Disallow:

It has helped me improve my organic SEO really well by making sure I have the search terms in all of the right places. it's good to send to the customer as well so you can show them how there pages have improved. Communication to the customer is key with SEO.

Yer it's best not to bloat your HTML with to many Spans etc just have the relevant HTML tags. Try the technique that Chris above mentioned.

Has the linked changed now? I have just checked out that link above and it doesn't appear to be working? I imagine you have changed the URL to get a boost on the search engines. I would recommend using a 301 redirect on that URL and point it to the new page.

When I was first learning web design I used to love checking out websites such as Line 25 which provide tutorial's and showcase the latest coding techniques and trends. It may be worth getting some ideas from your local competition as well and gauge how other people are attracting users.

I would look into 301 redirects, 404 errors are from broken links i.e. blog posts or pages may have been deleted but the link is still indexed by the search engines so you will need to redirect the links to existing content.

There are a number of way's in which to add 301 redirects you can add them into your .htaccess file or some large CMS systems have plugins, I know Wordpress has a plugin called Simple 301's.

Assuming you want to keep the existing setup but set up friendlier URLs (example, redirect ?p=1_14 to /p/1_14), you could do something like this:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^p=([^&]+) [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} &p=([^&]+) [NC]
RewriteRule .* /p/%1? [R=301,L,NE]

Then you'd want something to handle those new URL requests with something like this:

RewriteRule "^p/(.*)$" "/index.php?p=$1" [L,NE]

I don't think you will get a better answer than Williams I was going to say pretty much exactly the same.

I did have some issues with this when we first launched the site, I will try and look into it further now. The HTTPS certificate is fairly new.

Firstly I'd look at which websites rank higher than you. If it's websites such as Trip Advisor or Wikipedia etc, this can be difficult as they have such a trusted domain and many backlinks etc.

That is a major jump though. Is the website optimised for mobile? Google wants to present it's user with relevant content and a good user experience. So check if your Bounce Rate has increased over the past few months.

I've wrote a quick list of things I personally would check;

• Competition (Who is above you on Google)
• Bounce Rate
• Backlinks (you may have lost some with strong domain authority)
• Duplicate Content
• Over use of the search term
