Timbronze is spot on here regarding your question about deleting an account. However, I wouldn't recommend deleting any accounts. Unless of course you know you will never need that data again. I'd recommend archiving the accounts you no longer manage. This way you can always reactivate them if need be.

1. Log into your Moz account and go to http://analytics.moz.com/manage-campaigns

2. Under the "Active Campaigns" tab, locate the account you wish to remove and click the "Archive" button.

3. You will now free up a slot in your Active accounts but will also be able to reactivate the account from the "Archived Campaigns" tab.

No unfortunately you can't. I asked this same thing a while back and was told we cannot add additional users "at this time". I'm not sure if this meant they were working on adding this feature or not but I don't think its on the top of the priority list. They have WAY bigger fish(kin's) to fry! lol

Yeah in my experience the best way to handle a question based on their software would be to ask them directly. Go here and under the "What can we help you with today?" section, click "Rankings" and shoot them over your question/concern.

They will be able to give u the most help with this type of issue. My opinion is that all rank tracking software (no matter who developed it) is "best effort" and simply a rank capture of a "moment in time". But you clearly have a larger issue than it being inconsistent. Your issue appears to be flat out incorrect.

I wouldn't waste another second of your valuable time on it. IMO Google wanted to stop making it easy for SEO's and wanted to make us WORK for that valuable data. You should just start tracking your pages that are optimized/ranking for specific terms. Then you can see what IS and what ISN'T working.

At that point, the "not provided" nonsense becomes a rear-view mirror object for you.

But yes, I agree, this is quite a frustrating issue to deal with.

Is rank tracking even a useful metric?

With results being localized and GA showing "not provided" for the majority of incoming traffic... IIMO rank tracking has become a hamster wheel that we are all running very fast in and not getting anywhere. We've used just about every possible rank tracking tool out there (Moz, Web CEO, My SEO Tool, etc.) and they all have one thing in common. Inconsistency!

We've shifted ALL (and I mean ALL) of our efforts to tracking actual page visits/conversions that are optimized for "said keyword(s)". This has proven to be a FAR better way to track progress and a successful organic campaign.

I agree and am sure I can speak for the majority of us that the "not provided" struggle is REAL! I was reading a recent article from SEL (from Greg Gifford) called "One Positive Pigeon Result: We Can Finally Ditch Ranking Reports" and got some great tips from it.

After reading your question I thought that you may benefit from it (if you haven't already read it). Not necessarily the basis of the article since it talks specifically about "Rank reporting for clients". If you read down to #2 (Organic Landing Pages) & #3 (Organic Conversion Sources), I think this could be very helpful for you.

These (.htaccess) are hidden files. You can use an FTP client to view/edit this file. Or  modify your computer setting to "show hidden files" and you will then be able to access/edit this file from your local drive.

Be VERY careful when modifying this file as you can crash your site all together. Make sure to backup the original file before modifying. Hope this helps!

Squarespace is a great tool and EASY to use for those that are starting out. However, if you are truly looking to be a competitor in Search, IMO, you will need to stay away from these types of platforms as they tend to be problematic and not offer the flexibility needed to properly optimize the site.

As MoosaHemani said, use WordPress or similar. If your site will be eCommerce, just install Woo Commerce and call it a day. This will give you all the flexibility needed. Good Luck!

Yes. Using OSE you can research the link profile of the URL and see if it has ALL followed links (which would appear unnatural) or if it has a good mix of both followed and no-follow links (appearing a bit more natural). You can always look further into the inbound links of course (using OSE) to see just how "natural" they are (or aren't).

But you will have to use your judgement on that end. We use linkdetox.com to dive further into link value but I'm sure there are other great tools out there too.

Keep the title tags:

1. Relevant/Targeted to the page (targeted kw/phrase as close to the beginning as possible)

2. Dense. Don't exceed the recommended pixel length. This tool from Pete Myers always comes in handy. You don't want to truncate your title in the SERP

3. Natural/Readable to the users

You CAN continue to rank well. However, I wouldn't suggest that you abandon blogging about trending topics within said websites industry. There is ALWAYS something that can be explained better/improved upon or something fresh and new to talk about with our audience.

Question: When you are asking about adding content, are you referring to your typical page content or are you referring to blogging?

You are correct in your thinking HashTagHustler (Nice name btw)!

If the domain you purchased and redirected over to xyz.com has no age, link profile, authority, etc., then it will not have anything to pass over to xyz.com domain. Thus making your fathers idea pretty useless.

Now if you are able to find a domain that is industry specific/relevant that has some age, authority and a clean link profile, you may have some value here. But keep in mind if you DO redirect a domain that has "value", the redirect does not pass over as all of its juice.

The power of Yext (IMO) is that they are actually publish the data right away throughout their partner network. Yext also aggregates to a few directories but that is kinda just icing on the cake.

I still haven't tried Moz Local yet. I might give it a shot someday here in the near future. Cheers!
