RE: What is the Best Keyword Placement within a URL for Inner Location Pages?
I agree Jarno! Option 3 looks and feels more logical than the others. I'd go with that as well!

RE: What is the best sites for Press Release
Hey Brice!
My best recommendation would be to use PRWeb.com or for an agency you can sign on to their Vocus Suite for bulk pricing.
The cost is higher with PR Web but you get so much more bang for your buck. Not to mention, it will get picked up just about everywhere else from their network. Hope this helps ya!

RE: Competitors black-hat link building?
You've made some great points here David!
I agree there is no way they built those links last month, that's for sure! And by no means did I mean to imply that waiting around for Google is only course of action. Just figured I'd share the link. It certainly can't hurt!
I like the point you made about risk tolerance. Risk vs Reward is all around us in business. I just feel that it could become a slippery slope in regards to following what we know is not best practices regarding website optimization.
Cheers!!

RE: Competitors black-hat link building?
Hmm... I feel like this scenario is all too familiar.
Have you tried reporting their site to Google? If not, I'd recommend doing so. This "may" prompt a manual review of their site and get them out of your way!
Best of luck on this!!#TEAMNOSPAM

RE: W3C Validation: How Important is This to Ranking
Hey luckybluebox!
IMO, this is rather important aspect of proper development and we make sure every site we work on is W3C compliant. These are typically easy fixes and should always be cleaned up.
Check out this youtube video from Google Webmasters channel. They say it is NOT a ranking factor but I would always suggest keeping things tidy

Hope this helps you out!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XlKn6I9rSc

RE: Can I add users to my account?
Hey Krankensigns!
Unfortunately no you cannot add users to your Moz account. But that is weird that they are still not able to login using your login credentials. Maybe there is a block since they are outside of the Western hemisphere. Im sure a Mozzer will chime in here and get you a fix

Good luck!

RE: Link Value
Hey mbarden26!
I agree with Sheena in that ONE link from a highly authoritative site would deliver more value than a number of links from a lesser site(s).
She also makes a great point about the traffic you might get from the less authoritative site and that if it is targeted to your niche, it could be a better converter for you. Relevance relevance relevance!!! Good luck!

RE: Image alt attribute - keyword stuffing?
Agreed!
It is always best practices to avoid keyword stuffing. Be sure to set each image alt attribute to describe the image itself. This will allow both search engines and visually impaired users of your website to be able to understand the description of the image. Might sound silly but my mother is visually impaired and may be looking for your site right now.

Best of luck!!

RE: SEO Benefit from Moz Profile link?
Hey guys!
Once you reach 200 points in your Moz account, they will remove the "no follow" from the first link in your profile. Check out more about how Moz points work here.
Hope this helps! And you will get a nice juicy link from Moz once this happens

RE: New to Moz Pro? Join our upcoming free webinar this Friday!
Cool cool cool! I'm not new to Moz by any means but I couldn't imagine passing on a refresher of the basics

Looking forward to it! Thanks Jen!!

RE: Anyone else see a redundant hostnames message in GA this morning?
Eww that's scary!
Is this your site or a clients site that you are working on? If an outside developer or team of devs are working on a project that you own or one that is for a client of yours, I would request that you are consulted prior to any changes like that.
Less hands in the cookie jar the better as you know. However, I know that isn't always the scenario but if a cookie gets a bite taken from it, I'd like to know who did it and when they did it at the very least.
I hope fixing the 301 clears up the issue you are having in GA!

RE: Anyone else see a redundant hostnames message in GA this morning?
Interesting... I'm not getting this message on any properties in our account. But thank you I will keep an eye out in case something pops up on us!
I wonder why your 301 would no longer be working though...
Is there anything you can remember that was done that could have caused that? Was your htaccess file modified without your knowledge?
Kind of troubling I'd say. Set that back and see if that message clears up for you!

RE: Critique my outsourcing email?
I couldn't agree MORE with Travis here. Nails on a chalkboard!! Be very careful.
On a brighter note... have you seen the WBF from back in December 2012 where Rand addressed "What Separates a "Good" Outreach Email from a "Great" One?"
It doesn't necessarily address what you are trying to do here but if you haven't already seen it, I think you may get some GREAT takeaways from it!
Good luck!

RE: Moz Pro Reports - Can I create Monthly client reports?
Hey there!
Great question! Yes, I believe if you set your campaign to run monthly reports, it will compile the data from that entire month and present it within your report.
Off topic, I just recall a question posted earlier this month about changing the dates of reports. Being that you are digging into the reporting feature, I figured this may become of value to you at some point. Cheers!

RE: Is my site penalized by Google?
Hey AJLabs!
For starters (if you haven't already), try using the "site:" command in Google.
Example, instead of just searching for "aaaaa" or "aaaaa.com", type "site:aaaaa.com" into Google and see what it yields. This will tell you whether or not you've been completely removed from their index or not. But being that you are seeing clicks in WMT and when you type your brand in you find yourself, I don't think you've been penalized. Would there be any reason you can think of that you'd have been issued a penalty? Sorry for the edits. I always rethink my answers after the fact haa
Hope this helps!
