I have checked the link analysis section and looked at link history. I have also checked Open Site Explorer but I can't seem to find a way to just show me the most recent links to my site . . .

Do links from PDFs count towards your rank?
Does Google consider PDF links just like it does HTML links?

RE: Is it a good idea to use custom email subject lines?
Any examples of acceptable or effective ways of using their name in the email?

Is it a good idea to use custom email subject lines?
For example:
"[Insert Name] check out our new products!"
I have heard that spam filters can detect custom subject lines and filter them out as spam.
Does anyone have experience with this?

Is a shorter subdomain better?
For example, consider the two subdomains below:
Would there likely be an appreciable difference between the two based on length alone?
Also, would it be better to use a term that relates to our product in general such as "software.bluelinkerp.com"?
Thanks!

Why is the SEOmoz forum not performing well on Chrome?
Has anyone else noticed that the forum isn't performing well on Chrome? For example, when you mark an answer as "good answer" the page does not reflect the change. It doesn't show up until you refresh the page.
Small issues sure, though I thought by now Chrome would be the number 1 consideration for the web despite IE's unfortunately high use.

Is it okay to use anchor text almost exclusively for inbound links?
We are not spammy - each link is earned through a long process of relationship building and targeted guest post writing. Because of this, we like each link to have anchor text and they don't point to the same page or have the same anchor text.
Is this still something to be worried about? Do we still need to include plain URLs (wwww.example.com) for some of those links?

RE: Is it okay to have a video transcription in a collapsable div for SEO?
Thanks for the info, but what do you mean by the header line?

Is it okay to have a video transcription in a collapsable div for SEO?
SEOmoz is good about making sure their videos have a transcription included below them but of course the description takes up a TON of space. Could I enjoy most of the same benefit of a transcription by including it in a collapsable div like an accordion?

RE: Duplicate content error?
I figured it out. Turns out there were old pages that used the improper URL. They were very difficult to find haha

Duplicate content error?
I am getting a duplicate content error for the following pages:
http://www.bluelinkerp.com/products/accounting/index.asp
http://www.bluelinkerp.com/products/accounting/
But, of course, the 2nd link is just an automatic redirect to the index file, is it not?
Why is it thinking it is a different URL?
See image.

RE: Duplicate H1 tag IF it holds SAME text?
Sure. I thought you were just repeating the titles for the sake of repeating them.

RE: Managed hosting company recommendation
Arvixe is an amazing (and amazingly cheap) hosting company. I have implemented a site with them and have been very pleased with their customer support.

RE: Duplicate H1 tag IF it holds SAME text?
I would advise against using multiple H1 tags on the page. Instead, Oleg's approach could work.
Just replicate it as you wish and use CSS to make it look the same.
Of course, doing this across every page on your site may seem a little spammy.

RE: Position Drop - Anchor Text Penalty
I think you can answer your own question by asking yourself this:
"Were you aggressively seeking links in ways that Google may deem inappropriate? Were you collected vast amounts of links with the same anchor texts in an unnatural way?"
If the answer to these questions is yes, then you may very well have been penalized.
After all, Google has warned against using this practice many times.

RE: Is it better to have your blog open in a separate window?
Is your blog contained within your main site or is it hosted elsewhere?
If your blog is hosted on your main site and maintains the same site structure then there is no harm keeping it as is.
However, if your blog is hosted elsewhere and has a different site structure where it is hosted then I would suggest having the blog open in a new window.
It can be disorienting to visitors to click and end up moving away from your main navigation and structure and they may not click the back button when they are done on the blog.

RE: Searches by country
I would recommend the Keyword Tool that is part of Google AdWords.
It is free and allows you to search for specific queries and see how popular those search terms are in specific areas.

RE: Did Google just release another massive update in September?
Our link building has always been legitimate so I don't think that would explain it. It is very odd to see 20,000 links (half of our total count) disappear in a single week.
It has not seemed to impact much though. At least, not yet . . .

RE: Did Google just release another massive update in September?
How would I go about checking the links that have been dropped? From what I have been told, SEOmoz has no way of looking back at individual historic links . . .
