How do you track keyword ranking in local google.com (India) search engine
Unfortunately, we cannot currently track local rankings in India. Right now, we're only covering the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Sorry. As the others mentioned, we can, however, track general, non-localized rankings for India.

URL Keyword stuffing. service-city.com/product-service-city/ vs. service-city.com/product/
Either structure is fine. Exact match domains still work (somewhat) but they'll continue to fade as time goes on. You'll have a better chance at getting results if you rely more heavily on producing good on-page, rather than an exact match domain to get you rankings. My advice would be 250 words with your targeted keyword used twice and 2-3 LSI (latent semantic index) keywords to supplement it once each. Local Rankings for Second Business Location in the SAME City
Hi David! Good topic. First of all, you should remove the modifiers from your business title on your Google+ Local page (and elsewhere). Google was briefly supporting these types of modifiers, but the most recent iteration of their guidelines states that this is not acceptable Location information, such as neighborhood, city, or street name, unless it is part of the real-world representation of the business. Your name must not include street address or direction information. Not acceptable: "Starbucks Downtown", "Macy’s Union Square", "Holiday Inn (I-93 at Exit 2)", "U.S. Bank ATM - 7th & Pike - Parking Garage Lobby near Elevator" Acceptable: "Starbucks", "Macy’s", "Holiday Inn Salem", "U.S. Bank ATM", "University of California Berkeley" So, do get rid of the modifiers. But ... I do not recommend linking both locations to the same page. If one is the corporate headquarters, then linking it to the homepage would be fine, but in a multi-location scenario, linking to a specific landing page of the website for each shop would be a more typical way to ensure that you are keeping your locations distinct and separate. And yes, the authority of these pages very likely does impact rankings. Be sure the first thing on these pages is the complete name, address and phone number of the specific location. Be sure you are creating good, unique content for each of the pages, too. The challenge you are up against with more than one business in the same city is that Google is unlikely to show more than one of the same business in a keyword search. A brand search is different. If someone just searches for 'Crescent City Vape', Google may well show both businesses in a 3 or 7 pack, but if the search is just for 'e-cigarettes in Crescent City' then Google is less likely to show any business more than once in a pack. So, where this leaves you then is pinning your hopes on the fact that Google is getting more and more sensitive to the user as the centroid of search - meaning that Google is likely to show users (especially mobile users) the location of your business that is physically closest to them at the time they make their search. So, a user searching from his cell while in Uptown will be more likely to see the Uptown location on his phone (and possibly his desktop) while if he goes over to the lower garden district, Google is likely to show him that shop instead. What this boils down to is that you need to optimize and promote both locations equally, and leave it up to Google to parse which user group gets shown which result. This is about as good as you can do. I would not make the locations part of the business name on the website - instead, I would include this in: The content of the page The description on your citations Blog posts Social outreach Menu links pointing to these pages on your website, as in 'Visit our Uptown Location', 'Visit our Lower Garden District Location'. Hope this helps!

Creating an internal link network of clients
I agree with Ryan, This is essentially a link wheel, and seems like it will have short terms success. Always link with a purpose and have the user experience in mind.

Superficial content with little or no added value
Hello, I understood what google wants, I'm working with partnership that will have unique videos. But how do I solve? Embed the videos? Will have to be removed? Ie erase everything? Or is that if I start now with unique videos is enough? In fact, in Brazil, 99% of the videos work well. Remove all, would be to start from scratch, wanted to see a way that does not happen. How do I solve? What should I do with the old? Thanks for your answers and help.

Traffic from organic grew significantly. But why?
Hi Evelien, Does organic traffic appear to be attributable to any particular country or countries? This may sound strange, but I wonder if a competitor pulled out of the market. It appears just about every competitor you have in google.be got a pretty nice organic increase around that time, which has continued. Kruidvat seems to have the lion's share now. Last I knew, Luxembourg was something of a tax shelter. With the recent changes in VAT, I wonder if a significant competitor or competitors found it difficult to continue operations. But that's just a 'shot in the dark' on my part.

Advice for grouping short content briefs?
You'll have more content on the page if it's not gated, but it's really difficult to say one way or the other at this point when comparing the non-gated page versus the gated one. Testing between both types, non-gated would give you a good idea via Analytics.

Site update and what to do about current keyword rank
It could be that your home page will continue to rank for that keyword (since it is very low competition) if the keyword remains relatively prominent on the page and the meta data. If this is not the case or not what you want, then yes I would create a new page with appropriate content and link to it from the home page.

Is it reasonable to not give an SEO access to our CMS?
Exact same thing has happened to us in the past too.... One of our clients is a major Canuck city's Economic Development dept whose mandate is to get new businesses and investors to come to their city to invest and open new businesses. At first, we too were denied access to anything - we had to create long Word .docs with full directions and screenshots of what to do and where to do it. However, after 5 renewals over the past 5 years, we were given full access to their site via both their CMS and ftp too... Proving I'd suspect that trust needs to be "earned" - not given freely is how I'd see it... Oh in another case another SEO client - a major Canuck University has not been able to give that same earned trust access as their site includes credit card info - buried deep and encrypted - but PCI specs say that they should limit access....so again we do the full Word .doc blueprints for their site....

Internal Linking - Post links vs Side Bar Links behaving differently
well some of them are and your navigation which obviously should contain internal URLs does contain internal URLs. I am sending a screenshot of one of your widgets and a look at the actual URL which is an internal URL as your other widgets contained the same domain "hindimeaning.com" they are internal URLs as well. here is a screenshot below of your entire home page sorry if it looks strange my browser is dragged pretty wide. Regardless it looks like you using a Genesis 1 framework is this correct? Go into appearance then widgets you will see the URLs and be able to modify them to your liking. So far I have not seen external URLs meaning from another domain. I hope this is helpful, Thomas f7Vqv0z.png t3hEgNM.png
