A natural backlink profile has diversity - get ready for it - naturally. While in a perfect world, you want a strong variation in the number of domains linking to your pages, however if the same site chooses to link to your page(s) on their own, without your or any other outside influence, I don't see an issue with this.

Yup. As an example, run a search for "portland made leather" in comparison to "hand made leather"  The localization factors are definitely a consideration in the first one (without displaying the Local Listings box) and less so in the second. Of course the first few results are going to also be ranking as they do for other considerations, but local plays a part in it, both on and off page.

My recommendation is not to use every social media web site available and just stick to 2 or maxim 3.

Hi Howard, Infographic sites have a lot of Domain Authority, but Google decreased the value of these as a lot of people were developing infographics for backlink purposes. Because it's image based, you're not going to get hit with duplicate content issues. However, the best use for infographics is to get social sharing/engagement pumping. Thanks Richard! If the other websites dont make any effort to change the copy at all and its literally word for word, will that harm our page? I mean will Google be able to tell we posted it first even if it is only an hour or so before they post it?

Nothing, in my opinion it´s good. Creating backlinks in a new website is not a good idea IMO! Wait at least 1 month and be sure to have content/indexed urls before starting with the link building campain

What Don said is correct. Once the page has more content, it should stop flagging as duplicate content.  I always shoot for around 350-500 unique words per page.

Hi Richard, Thanks for the advice. Yes I just got the hand of using OSE   I just didn't understand if this is something I need to watch.  I have just launched our new platform and basically I have an SEO company on board but don't seem to be producing the goods, I find I get alot more from Moz. I haven't been hit with a penalty, but I know our competitor of ours has, and it seems to be from spammy backlinks as noted by someone at moz.  I'm just curious to know if this should happen to me, I would rather try to avoid the same situation from happening to us.  Any advice around how to go about avoiding this, or how we can eliminate the potential would be much appreciated. VOIP or adding another line to your cell would probably be the cheapest. There are call tracking options out there that can associate with analytics and CRMs but that sounds beyond your needs.

Ryan is absolutely right, Enhanced Link Attribution doesn't come even close to creating a problem for your SEO. It won't generate any URLs so you techie might be confusing this with another feature/ tool.

I missed one question you asked - as Google is unable to index content which is only available for registered users I might be a good idea to create a preview page - showing part of the content even when not logged-in. This only makes sense however if the content remains interesting enough for visitors even if only part of it is accessible. You risk to get a high bounce rate on these pages, as the content really needs to be very unique and valuable for the users in order to go through the complicated process of registration. Personally, I always get frustrated when landing on these kind of pages, and unless it's a site that also seems useful for future visits, I always go back to the search results and try to find other sites which provide the info without registration.

Hey As a general rule, you should have an optimized page for each keyword your trying to rank for. Its difficult to rank with a page for several different keywords. Just remember you're NOT trying to rank your homepage, your trying to rank the unique landing page for that keyword. Hope that helps, best of luck

You'd want to get the redirect to go to the most applicable place as possible so if it's OLDSITE.com/apple it'd be best to send it to NEWSITE.com/category/apple if you have that level of information from old to new.  Otherwise, domain to category would be second best. Third, domain to domain.
