  • Well it looks like links from Pinterest are nofollowed so I would link to the place that got me the highest conversion. If you are not capturing any sort of email or running a retargeting campaign then I'd send the traffic from pinterest straight to the affiliate link. But if you are building a retargeting list from people that land on your site and trying to collect email addresses by offering them something AND you are getting more sales because of your retargeting efforts and email blasts then I'd send the traffic from Pinterest to your website.

  • Unfortunately WordPress is always vulnerable if the installation isn't properly managed. I would suggest you to check if there are any links to your websites for spammy domains, phishing domain links farms or any other domains and website of poor quality.  If there are any, go to Google and use "disavow backlinks" option. Any news releases related to the websites would also help. It is not a bad idea to create a publication in your Blog (if any) that explains how a compromised WordPress installations resulted in a drop in SERP. Consider using this WordPress plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/meta-tag-manager/ A professional review of the WordPress installations by any 3rd party would also help, as you might be missing something. Finally, consider using a Managed Website (Managed Wordpress) service.

  • 1. Search Console tells you, that they use a canonical for the homepage, that doesn't mean John Mueller is talking about that in this webmaster hangout (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAagTHeF9N0) 2. I can just guess, think it could be a structure thing, and maybe it is to fresh - 6 month old site with several regions set-up in same language. So a lot of duplicates, canonicals aso Google has to deal with. And of course, Homepage is strong, your landingpage may not be strong enaugh.   And whatever happens on Googles Page 5 is more or less useless data. If it still happens when you are on page 2, guess than there is a real problem.  At the moment, without knowing anything, asuming hreflangs, canonicals are right, think it is a structure, time, pagerank combined thing. 3. You can use canonicals and it depends, if you need them, you need them - no matter if hreflang in use or not.  You have to send the same signals, not confusing once. I think here is helpful stuf about hreflang and canonicals working together (https://www.searchviu.com/en/hreflang-canonical/) 4. It depends on depth, difficulty, and a lot more factors. I cant say anything here without topic or domain / page 5. You use hreflang, so you tell google what to rank where. Sending confusing signals (hreflang to a page wich has a canonical to anywhere wich has an hreflang-back  to that page. Nice confusing chain... ) google will start to ignore your canonicals in this case Hope that helps a bit

  • Hi Joe, You can select the date range in Campaign - Rankings located in the upper right-hand corner. Once you have your desired date range, just export the CSV and it will include all ranking collection dates in the specified range. Hope that helps!

  • Few things more I'd try to troubleshoot the issue: Trying to do edit slug using "quick edit" and "edit" See if the same issue is for all posts or just one specific post Also, the slug will not update until you click Update button on the Edit Post screen. If you click on Permalink then edit, that will allow you to update the slug, then hit OK, but when you click on OK that will not update the permalink.

  • What's your goal when it comes to blogging? Are you trying to gain backlinks? Or Are you trying to drive more leads? I think it largely depends on what your goals are for blogging. If you're hoping to build backlinks and rank well I'd self publish on my own website.  But then I'd leverage Medium and LinkedIn as a means of content distribution. However, since you mentioned rankings and backlinks I'd publish on my own site. I would target content themes/keywords that aren't super competitive and maintain a consistent publishing schedule. I would also spend a healthy amount of time promoting that content as well. Also, I'd recommend setting up a subfolder for your blog rather than a subdomain. But before making any decision I'd take a step back and just think through my goals first. Best of luck!

  • Hello, In reality they are not, the ?amp is just a query its also where canonical tags become important.  You could link to planmymoment.com?testing the 'value' would still go to your main domain assuming you have canonical tags on. Now obviously the link would still 'look' like its going to a different place but the canonical tag would tell e.g. Google the original content is the homepage. Hope that makes sense, the short version is there is nothing to worry about.

  • Hi Jeff, I would recommend that you gather as many screenshots and as much other evidence as possible. Then, tweet to @GoogleMyBiz and let them know you want to DM them evidence of a concerning case of widespread review spam. Wait for them to DM you back. I don't recommend doing any of this publicly. Confine your communications to DM. All you can do is report it and hope for the best. Google doesn't always act on these reports, regardless of how much evidence you send. If you aren't satisfied with the outcome of your private interaction with Google, you can then make the decision about whether to go public. If an issue is so egregious that it receives a large amount of press, Google can typically be shamed into removing review spam. However, the story has to be fairly sensational to garner that kind of attention. Good luck. Fake reviews are so prevalent and so bad for real-world communities who don't know what they are reading is fake. Hope it goes well for you.

  • Yes, as in any case, you'll always adapt any SEO rules or guidance to your situation! Target keywords are keywords that best fit your SEO scenario, both qualitatively and quantitatively.  In other words, what keywords are relevant, and possess metrics that match your needs (volume, difficulty, conversion rate, organic click-through rate, etc.).  This will depend on your site, but for more help on target keywords, you can check out this course:  https://academy.moz.com/keyword-research Thank you, and good luck!
