I run courses in Australia, and use course material that several companies use. While I can 'rewrite' the overview, the course outlines are identical and there no getting past that. Is there a way to let Google know? Thanks in advance.
Hi Zoe, Thanks for this answer. I already do rewrite the overview, course description - but the actual course outline makes up approx. 80% of the page - so that was my concern. The idea of writing descriptions for each section and including more visual aids is perfect though - and will do this! Thanks! This has helped Jamie

Page speed in relation to SEO
Right, I am familiar with. Actually what I have done is kind of interesting in that regard. The product I work with is a CMS that produces large CSS and JS files. So I have profiled the CSS to render the above the fold, then after the page is loaded append the full CSS file to style the rest. The same with the JS too. The reason it can't go into production like that is because the unsightly flash of unstyled content. But it seems the crawlers are picking them up fine for the cached page images.

Duplicate Content
Thanks Matt and Erica. I think we'll have to take the band aid approach at first, but it's definitely something I'll now think about with future updates and developments

What is the difference between the "Crawl Issues" report and the "Crawl Test" report?
I may be wrong, but I always assumed Crawl Diagnostics was part of the Moz Pro Analytics. Wheras Crawl Test was a public tool. (Like Open Site Explorer vs Links Analysis in Moz Analytics.) So using the tool from within Moz Pro was more extensive. Disclaimer: This is just based on an assumption I've made in the past. Mozzers, correct me if I'm wrong please!

Nofollow on internal links
Hopefully this string is still active. We have hundreds of events on our calendars that open to very thin pages: date and time of event with little other content. https://www.landmarkschool.org/family-bbq https://www.landmarkschool.org/landmark-school-bkb-b-v-practice-16 Does it make sense to add no follow and no index tags to these events and no follow tags to the calendars?

Mass Product Page Upload - SEO Issue?
You could always consider no index follow these until a point you'e in a position to improve product pages People sometimes use this technique if they feel a Panda update is coming... otherwise it could just look like a lot of low quality on the site. Pete

Changing Targeted Keywords on Landing Page
We do it all the time (and it's i'd say recommended way to do it). If we have a page which has two keywords, but it's really targeting keyword A and we dont have another page for keyword B, and we want keyword B to rank good, we just create page for keyword B. It's just about assessment of how much benefit you'd get out of creating new page.

Ask moz staff
Hi there! Generally speaking, it's much easier to block crawlers unilaterally than to allow just one specific crawler and no others onto your website. (It's also worth mentioning that if Rogerbot is the only crawler with access to your site, you risk falling off the radar on Google's index! Yikes!) Here's a great post about when, why and how to block crawlers from your site: http://searchenginewatch.com/sew/news/2067357/bye-bye-crawler-blocking-parasites I'm by no means an SEO expert, but that article pointed to http://www.robotstxt.org/ which looks like a great resource for learning more about web robots, when to block them, and how to do it. I hope they help!

Our domain is ranking quite ok on google.ru, but not at all on Yandex. What could be the main differentiator here?
Search engines work out how websites rank rather differently from each other. My site has only just had pages rank on Google, while on Bing they're ranked for a number of months. And even then the rankings are different across the two. Like Russ said, you may need to prioritise one over the other. In my case Google has started to take notice of my site even though Bing noticed it months ago. I would bet that sooner or later Yandex will do the same for you.

Analytics Losing Connection
Hi Caxton I had this a few times and asked MOz help and they said: "that type of message is typically crops up when there is an issue with the level of permissions associated with the GA login info that was used to connect it. So, I would recommend making sure that it is being re-authorized with the most authoritative set of admin credentials for that GA account; ideally, the original creator of the Google Analytics account." They also said to watch the number of GA accounts/profiles since has a token limit and once exceeded can cause connection issues. So say your accessing a a clients design agencies GA account to import your clients data into Moz, if the agency has lots of clients all with their own GA profiles in their accounts then that can cause you to exceed token limit and break the connections. However i can always reconnect/reauthorise the connection (although very annoying that i have to every time i view a campaign), wheras sounds like you cant reconnect so prob best to email help@moz if i were you. Hope this helps a bit ! All Best Dan

Two domains / same Content
Hi Guys, Thanks so much for the responses - I will speak to the client. They were totally unaware of the impact that this would have on them and they were in fact told they must do this (this was by one of the largest web dev. companies in NZ btw!)

Getting too many links on Google search results, how do I fix?
You could simply remove your name from the pages The sitelink example from Apple is at Google's discretion. They usually only do it for sites with high authority or where they're sure of your intent and have identified an entity associated with your search. I would not mess with your robots.txt. Just decide which pages you do or don't want to show up for your name. You could try something like {Type of photos) photos by {Your Name} for pages you DO want to show up. Generally lots of search presence is great, so I wouldn't worry. You COULD de-optimize, but it seems unnecessary.
