  • We are already doing FB syndication and publishing on our blog.  I'm just trying to find more avenues to promote this content (safely).  My client has 5 blog posts a week.

  • Hi, This is the reason that I suggest you to create a separate ad group for BMM keywords only in which you have to add exact match and phrase match query as negative keyword so you can measure the performance of only BMM. If it is still not clear to you please let me know I will explain you by giving example. Hope this helps. Thanks

  • Hey There! Sounds like you're doing a lot of things by-the-books and "right" "on paper" but it's really tough to know if you're on the right track for sure without seeing the site or an example of some of the links being build, or content, etc. I say this because "40 links a month" for example sounds like a nice number, but also sounds suspect because that's a pretty sizable amount of links, which makes me wonder about the quality of them. What I'd be curious about is - what are the things outside of SEO or SEO tactics/fixes have been done? I'm thinking in regards to social, audience building, brand building, design upgrades, content, adding value etc? Also, what type of site is this and how big is it? The other thing that's tough to know is how well the technical things were implemented. For example, switching to https among other things can create a lot of redirect chains. I would try to undo redirect chains and only do page->page redirects (instead of having chains of page->page->page->page etc). And right, it's tough to know if your disavow is helping or hurting without knowing a lot of the specifics. If it was me, I'd make sure you're focusing enough on others things besides just directly on SEO. That doesn't mean you'd ignore SEO when doing social, content, audience building etc - just that you're taking a more holistic view. I think Google definitely favors recovering sites that prove they are building something people want.

  • Alick, I did use the Adwords community forum and was pleasantly surprised by the input. One person (level 13) stated this had happened to him and gave some good input. Another did as well. Thanks for taking time to send an answer to me. All the best, Robert

  • For me, go for more links on relevant football related sites / fan forums / US sports colleges, places where your products will likely be seen and have genuine interest in rather than directories, as per Oleg also maybe have an alternative en-us site. If you are truly looking to broaden your horizons and eventually have a presence in the US, I would suggest developing a series of useful export partnerships with key members in the US who can advocate for your products and link to your site, then once you have a foothold, maybe look to introduce shippers and use them as the address for local us services. If and only if this takes off, it may be time to have a US base/office for committing to the US market.

  • Hi Scott I'm afraid campaigns cannot be forced to update and the change you made will not take affect until the next weekly update. For one-off data you can run for rankings you can use moz.com/researchtools/rank-tracker For link metrics you can view them directly on moz.com/researchtools/ose Link metrics only update when a new index is released. If you have room, you can create a new campaign which will run a rush collection of initial data. You will need to make sure your information is submitted during the setup before it is completed. Any changes made after will be queued up for the next week. Hope this helps!

  • Cheers Nick. It's more the SEO benefit rather than the stats that I'm interested in, but that's a handy reminder to bear in mind stats too!

  • No, it doesn't change my answer, but it's a good distinction to make. It sounds like the international expansion is in process. If the client needs geo-targeted content (sounds like they might), the countries need to be treated differently. Each subfolder as it's own site really. But it sounds like the translation is a good place to start for the time being. For the mobile, my answer remains the same. There isn't anything other than making the translated content mobile or responsive that will help the traffic.

  • You should automatically redirect the www or non-www (check Google to see which one they prefer.) If you're using a host that allows .htaccess files, you can use one of these (CHOOSE one and put the whole code in .htaccess) #redirect non www to www RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www..+$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} (.+)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%1/$1 [R=301,L] OR #redirect www to non www RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.(.+)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

  • Hi rosemontmedia The check listing tool is a search tool, so it will rely on the response Facebook and Hotfrog provides when we are querying for the business information. Each time you generate a listing report, this is a live query. If no results are found, this means the data is not available in their respective API's. Hotfrog doesn't have the best API as many listings fail to appear in our searches. For Facebook, you will want to make sure their listing is setup as a local business page and has a couple of check-ins in order for the information to be available. Hope this helps!

  • What could you do if the Duplicate description was the actual wording " Product Description " ? Using BigCommerce they have it set up this way and It's rather baffling it is so.

  • Every Channel is different. We benchmark at 6% for 1 company and are wrapped to hit 1% for another. We have a niche product/client at 14%. If there was a standard - I would suggest in the range of 2-4%.  All that said it really comes down to on site behavior - where are they dropping off?  Is it the landing page - Why ? Is it the checkout page? Why? I would be very very carefully monitoring each page interaction.  Find out what makes them click and what does not. Then make adjustments accordingly. Have you considered Optimizely or Unbounce? Not a fan of either but they are good at promoting themselves and many do rate them. If you have the budget I would spend some time trying to find out why people drop off, via survey and analytic's.  Some very small improvements can make a massive difference. Nice little article.  http://tinyurl.com/nomws53 Hope that assists.

  • Hi David, Indeed like Daniel mentioned it's already enough if the pages redirect to the new version to make sure that the user is redirected to the right URL. If you're very lucky and the structure is the same on both sites then you would be able to take care off this with only 1 redirect. Martijn.
