  • I think the idea is to manage them in Moz Analytics for more accurate things like tags they'll be a lot more options soon. _**Citing: https://moz.com/help/guides/keyword-explorer**_ "Currently, we only support a single column upload (keywords). We will be updating this to support uploading the same file you can export from the keyword list pages which will include the keyword, volume, difficulty, opportunity, custom score and potential. We’ll let everyone know when that update is released!" But you can separate them by uploading them to Moz analytics You can export from the keyword tool which you can save a list of keywords under a tag or name. So if I have list-1 and list-2 I can pick relevancy and use filters to slim them down to exactly what I want but I do not believe you can add another tag in addition to the name of the list. You have to do that inside of Moz Analytics Here is an excellent walk-through on how to do exactly what you just asked. "Add & Manage Your Keywords in Moz Analytics!" https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-pro-overview/keyword-rankings/add-and-manage-keywords Here is a great link to a larger photo than the one below showing you how you can place the tag and first below and add the keywords in bulk. Once you hit upload, you will have your tags attached to any of the keywords that you've placed in the box labeled keywords. http://i.imgur.com/wl9Pdg7.jpg I don't think me describing it would do any better than that page can do but please let me know if it is something that you would like more help with or if you have any other issues. Cite: https://moz.com/help/guides/keyword-explorer FAQ "How do I add my keywords to my Moz Analytics campaigns? In the future, we’ll have an automatic button that lets you directly add keywords to a Moz Analytics campaign. For now, the easiest way is to export a list to CSV and import or copy/paste to the “add keywords” page in Moz Analytics." • By placing a single square ad on each page, either CPM, rented out, or click based, I would like to gain revenue for these terms. EGOL and others on this Q&A make money like this. I was trying to get some good advice from people like EGOL (I'm sure there are many of you) with experience with informational keywords as to if these would make money or not.

  • It really depends on the website, the content, and the types of ads. Most large content sites I've worked with we're in the range of $0.10 to $0.25 cpm in AdSense.

  • I submitted a request through The Guild to find out why my original answer above was not delivered to you. Sorry about that. As to your question about the average Moz Domain Authority. DA is made up of "MozRank", "MozTrust" and your link profile. Of those three, the one that we can most quantify is "MozRank." Moz actually says the average MozRank (from 1-10) for a site page is a "3." So just taking that information it's easier to see why the average Moz Authority would be on the lower end 30-40 and not 50 or higher. It also explains why it is easier to move from 30 to 40 than it is to move from 70-80. Good luck with the above, let me know if I can provide any other help.

  • Hey Damon, your "guess" about linking to the specific page with a specific target anchor text isn't wrong. However, with link building the best approach is always to "distribute the weight" amongst your entire site. Your home page is going to naturally accumulate a large percentage of brand-based/commercialized links and in so doing so, accumulate authority that will flow naturally through your site anyway. But when we talk about a "content-rich site" it's always a site that as very high percentage of deep links -- 70% or more is a great target. That's why having a blog embedded deeply on your site as a subdirectory is a GREAT way to accumulate both deep links and inbound linking authority. But doing this effectively means understanding what "quality content" looks like. The best way to accumulate good, deep links to your site (and move the dial algorithmically in Google) is to put up GREAT content that people will want to link to. I know we hear that all the time "all you need is great content and you'll move the dial" but most people don't know what good, evergreen content looks like. Over 2 million blog posts are published each day. Most of them SUCK. But if you can find and publish high-quality pieces of content that generate shares, freshness signals, and attract incoming links, that will lead to great individual Page Authority score that do reinforce overall domain authority. If I could offer you a tip in this regard, I highly recommend a tool like Answer the Public. Go over there and type in target keyword phrases and look at the questions returned. Then, look to write up detailed pieces of content that ANSWER these questions on your site. Not only is this type of content like CAT NIP to your visitors but it will also work to generate those fantastic Featured Snippets (Answers) you are seeing more and more at Position Zero in Google (like this one for "How to be a Food Blogger"). Hope that's helpful. Good luck with your link building!

Hope that helps!

  • Try to put that .htaccess on the old site. It will rewrite the asked URL before it can be processed by the server. It will rewrite the request to contain the new domain. On the new domain, you already have the code to process these requests. Try that and report back. It probably works after that.

  • Hey James, I'm afraid I don't know enough about this, either. It's my understanding that local reviews play a part in Siri results. How is your client doing on Yelp? I find it odd that Siri can find zero results for your query in a large city like Denver.

  • Hi Sergey, Thanks for this. I have read that article at some point a while back. Interesting read. I was just sort of sounding out a few ideas in my last post. The second option seems to be the best way to go. Do you know of any other methods to do this that is common in the industry? Thanks, Brian
