  • If you have a budget for paid search and dont care about it ranking organically - sure However, not everyone will go for paid search ads. As for link juice - just add dofollow links to individuals.nl on non-canonicalized home page and that will transfer pretty much all the juice.

  • Years? I saw 3 competitor companies boosting (alle-noten.de, notenbuch.de, stretta-music.com) their DA from 30 to 50 within a couple of weeks. Obviously concentratation on what the customers wants gets more and more irrelevant. Instead the massive purchse of links is key.

  • Hi there. It wouldn't be plugin, really. What you are talking about is your need to use progressive JPEGs. That can be achieved by simple saving the images in progressive format before you upload them onto your site, or change magento images processing. Read this article - http://pushentertainment.com/test/ It's pretty simple and straight forward. Also you can do it on server/hosting side. Here is the article: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28335114/how-to-use-progressive-jpegs-magento Hope this helps

  • Ranking dropped a little bit probably due to server and ssl migration. Something else that disappeared after the migration is the rich snippets (review stars and price) from the google results. Tho rich snippet results are showing correct in site operation mode (site:www.pccdkeys.com). So it seems that migration caused this loss and i hope google will get rich results back after a short period of time in organic results. My schema structure is the best compared to the competition and it will help a lot when it comes back. Meta descriptions were not touched from us what do ever. Unique content added in 70% of total but we are working to make it 100%.

  • Hey Nitesh, To boost your local rankings, you definitely want to set up hreflang for all the locations and, possibly, languages (once you will have any other ones except for English). Also, depending on your business model, it's recommended to set up Google My Business for all the locations you have. Cheers, Martin

  • According to my Moz bar, you don't have any backlinks.  How many do your competitors have? Do you have a solid plan to get quality backlinks?

  • Hi there! Jo here from the Moz support team. Spam score is made up of 17 unique signals identified for that subdomain content.yudu.com, rather than that page. I wouldn't really describe the Spam Score flags as an algorithm, but rather flags that are triggered with the gathering of data for our Mozscape index. You can check out all the flags and the ones that were triggered for that subdomain here https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis/flags?subdomain=content.yudu.com In addition to the Whiteboard Friday that Alick300 shared above I also recommend reviewing this article by Rand on Spam Score https://moz.com/blog/spam-score-mozs-new-metric-to-measure-penalization-risk I hope this helps, if there is anything else I can help you with please do let me know Cheers! Jo

  • Hello Jacob, Thanks for reaching out, Jo from the Moz support team here. I've investigated your example and it looks like Accessories?category=beach-towels has 15 duplicates with canonical tags pointing to different URLs.  For canonicals to work they need to point to the same URL. I've exported the csv from your Moz Pro Site Crawl and located your example URL below: https://www.havaianasaustralia.com.au/Accessories?category=beach-towels From here I've scrolled over to the Duplicate URL column and grabbed those URLs then checked the page source for the rel=canonical tag. Here are a couple of examples of what I've found: It looks like this page https://www.havaianasaustralia.com.au/Accessories?category=keyrings Has this tag rel="canonical" href="http://www.havaianasaustralia.com.au/Accessories"/> This page https://www.havaianasaustralia.com.au/Accessories?category=towels Has this tag rel="canonical" href="http://www.havaianasaustralia.com.au/towels-havaianas-accessories"> So the page Accessories?category=beach-towels will be picked up as having duplicates as those 15 pages have 90% of the same code between pages. This includes all the source code on the page and not just the viewable text. You can also run your own check using this tool: http://smallseotools.com/similar-page-checker/ I hope this helps, if there is anything else I can help you with please do let me know Cheers! Jo

  • No website in particular that springs to mind, I'm afraid. But it's not uncommon practice, and I'm sure you'll find plenty within your industry from a little competitor research. Good luck!

  • Hi , IMO you should use different keyword variation for each otherwise you will compete with yourself if you target same keywords for each website. I also suggest you to wait for reply from other community members to get more opinion. Thanks

  • Many thanks, we currently try to employ synonym's and themes without using the actual keyword but for rich snippets etc on google rank it's hard to avoid atleast three keywords at least 6 times on each relative page. Thanks for your insights! http://locksmitheugeneor.com/

  • If for some reason you need all the colors to have their own page (as opposed to putting all of the colors on one page, as Alick300 helpfully suggested) you can use rel=canonical links to choose one page to be the indexed one (the most popular color, perhaps).  If you are not familiar with canonicals, here is some information.

  • No problem at all. The legal implications certainly make it more complicated! Unfortunately the only suggestion I could really offer here is to block out a time where you can get through them all at once or withing a day or two max. The longer they're down, the greater the chance you'll drop in rankings and not see an easy recovery. It may even be worth doing them in batches of 10 - 20 posts and re-publishing them as you finish each batch. At least this way you're steadily minimising the number of pages that are offline rather than taking the all or nothing approach.

  • iframes are not seo "unfriendly" - otherwise Google Maps Embeds or youtube embeds would hurt your websites SEO, thats not the truth. Without example I cant say something about your page, but it is "simple" to make sites with iframes visible. Create enaugh visible stuff wich is unique an has a lot value arround your iframe. Do your "normal" SEO Stuff and done... Avoid sites with iframes only Thats not so much content. Maybe you know that all - but someone may not and find that here googling for iframes and SEO. A lot of tools are saying: Your website has a problem, u are using iframes... and less people think about why - they just think: Ok, cut it out.

  • Hi Taylor, When working on SEO in a small, local area, it's likely that (depending on the size/population), Google won't have enough data to generate a local pack. This proves to be both good and bad for you because 1) you don't need to fight for the space in the local pack, but 2) now you need to dominate the organic search engine results. In order to dominate these results, you need to focus both on on-site SEO AND off-site SEO. Your on-site SEO should focus on targeting the local area. What can you do to really localize the content? Build out local blogs about events in the community? Build out even more localized pages based on areas within the town? The options are endless. Here are some suggestions for successfully tackling off-site SEO: Link building Create linkable content – If you have relevant, authoritative content on your site, it’s more likely that other sites will want to link to it. Ask for links and be generous with your links – That’s right, just ask for them. Nicely, of course. When you come across other sites whose readers might benefit from your services or information, ask that site to link to yours. And you can also increase your link karma by linking to other sites whenever you can. Comment on blogs – This method can be tricky; some blogs don’t allow links in their comments, and you never want to come across as spammy. But if you have something relevant to say about a blog post on another site, commenting and adding a link to your site isn’t a bad idea. Social Channels Optimizing your “about” info on every site – Make sure your contact info is consistent and correct, and create a description that uses words your potential clients would search for to find you. Customize your social media site URLs—this is also called creating a “vanity URL.” For example: facebook.com/bluecorona. Creating high-quality posts – Pay attention to grammar, tone, and content. Make sure what you’re sharing is relevant to your target market. And use high-quality photos when you have them. Remember, every post is a reflection of your business. Always put your best foot forward. Measuring your results – How do you know if your social media strategy is working? Track your reach, conversions, and sales! Find out what works, what doesn’t, and never stop fine-tuning your strategy. Local Listings / Citations Citations are another critical part of offsite SEO. A citation is any mention of your business on the web. For example, if you are quoted in a local newspaper story online, and you are identified as the president of your company, that’s a citation. Even if the mention doesn’t include a link to your site, it’s still valuable. There are many ways to increase your citations. This is another ongoing strategy that you’ll have to devote some care and attention to, but it has a high return on investment! Hope this gets your started in the right direction! Let me know if you have additional questions.
