Whats the best way to handle product microformats such as hproduct, goodrelations on ecommerce for Google?
Check schema.org/product to understand how you should do it. Also Google has new guidelines and you can find them here. **Note: ** When you add rich snippets, it is JUST HELPING search engines understand what type of data your site has but this may not help your site/url rank on search engine as the ranking on a page does not depend on it. However for right context the URL may get benefit as it is having more structured information. So you should do it but it will work only if competitors have unstructured information

Need help/insights. Site SEO = OK, Authority BLs = OK, Rank page #1\. How to reach pos #1?
Thanks for replyiong me Nicole! I don't see this so difficult. Luck for me, at my country level, SEO isn't so advanced. Almost competitors have one or two backlinks at most. I'll for sure rewrote my procedure to include your suggestion. Thanks again. Anyone else have a insight for me?

Do interstitials hurt SEO?
This question is over three years old, and the person who made this reply is no longer a Pro member. If you have a question on a similar subject, it's probably better to start a new thread after all this time. Thanks!

PR in deeper pages
If the page you're linked from is linked directly from homepage (anywhere from it, including footer) or any other PR6 page on that site it will likely have PR5 (unless the number of outgoing links is excessive, or PR value is barely PR6 - for example PR 4.6). Worst case scenario is PR4 in the next public update (although pagerank is already received in realtime). Typically PR drops one toolbar point each link depth down.

Do external links drain PageRank?
Agreed. I believe it is important to have a "natural" link scheme in order to rank well. Sites that only receive but don't give might look unnatural. There must be some kind of "reward" in Google's algorithm for sites that link out to relevant, quality resources.

Site wide internal links in footer
Links from content area seem to be a lot more potent. If you're looking to boost your rankings through internal linking I would find editorial links to be the right way to go if possible. One tip I guess would be to look at preventing double links to same page. For example link from footer goes to same page as link main nav, sidebar and content area.

301 Redirect "wildcard" question
When I did a similar transition with hundreds of thousands of links. I created a database table with source and destination columns. Then a script that handles all 404 requests. If the requested link matches an entry in the source column, the user is sent a 301 to the matching destination entry. That allowed for easier maintenance than a huge htaccess file and the server load caused by te script should go down over time as 301 are saved and you contact site owners to update links. The other benefit is that you can do enhanced tracking to see what is request, found and not found and where those people came from.

Is it really worth it to submit to Yahoo Directory for $300 per year?
All that, yet I have still secured Yahoo listing for our site. How's that? I'm not saying I had money to throw around but it's basically a significant directory to be in - even outside SEO value. My vote still goes towards yes if the site is important to you and you are not willing to cut corners.

40,000 High Value Links - Sold?
Ok here's the thing... QUALITY content building, and I mean really high quality, will generate buzz on its own. The trick is to get content (including videos, images, etc.) to go viral, with links included. Naturally people will share it, retweet it and links will build naturally. They obviously have a large team and a large budget, and likely have people working on quality, shareable, viral content. News sites can easily get that many links, as people are always linking to their stories. So no its not impossible, it's just a matter of working smart and not hard. Can you give us the link so we can take a look at the site?
