URL with two forward slashes //
The // is most likely the result of a faulty setting in the (url routing) system and should be something that can be fixed. As for both the // and the /cpage: is it optimal? Most certainly not, neither for search engines nor for visitors, will it harm your rankings badly, I don't think so. Even though it is something you'd rather not have in your url, all other things being perfect you'll probably won't notice this in your rankings.

Is there a way to tell google to ignore keywords in Webmaster Tools?
Probably not a bad idea. Also maybe focus on making your other elements / keywords more important for search engines if they aren't already? just make it very easy for search engines to read your content, use and headings where applicable and relevant around your keywords

Breadcrumb navigation analysis
I have a client who operates 13 stores across 3 general locations. Each store has its own page with unique store information. This site uses breadcrumbs to get back to home page and a sub page listing all of the locations for that particular area. Our homepage also has a list of all of the locations, but it is feasible for tis operation since it only has 13 locations, obviously this might not work for your model. As far as bounce rate, the average store landing page is about 63%. Although it seems high, I believe that the user is getting the information they need (phone numbers) and calling the individual store, asking questions, directions, etc and leaving with the info they need to move on. They have confirmed that their call volume is much higher since we started optimizing and their walk in rate is rising also. I think it's a good move to post the breadcrumbs, it offers better user experience and like you said some linkage to the rest of your site.

Canonical best practiice...Blog or Sales Page?
Product page www.birdproduct.com/birds/blue-bird Blogs www.birdproduct.com/blog/how-to-spot-a-blue-bird-in-spring www.birdproduct.com/blog/what-do-blue-birds-like-to-eat www.birdproduct.com/blog/5-ways-to-prevent-your-cat-from-eating-up-a-blue-bird www.birdproduct.com/blog/the-best-pictures-of-a-blue-bird-you-have-ever-seen On each of these blogs you'll have a link to the product page with a link that has 'blue bird' or some variation of it to the product page. This way your product pages doesn't have to compete your blog for the short term keyword 'blue bird', while you'll still get long tail traffic for your blog titles and have a nice internal anchor text pointing to your 'blue bird' optimized product page. The canonical page in this case is simply the url, as there are no parameters or whatever 'exclude' for Google.

Link grow from month to month
I'd export the links into excel each month and then use VLOOKUP to check which existed the previous month with those that didn't being the new links.

How Google finds landing page?
Google doesn't know if it's a landing page or a regular page. It just sees a 'page'. Pages have on-page optimization (for a single keyword), and off-page optimization (other pages (internal and external) that point to them with different anchor text, relevancy, and authority). The page with the highest overall score is the one Google will rank highest. If you want your landing page to rank highest then do more SEO for it than for your non-landing-page. Of course, sometimes the best landing pages are really just regular pages that are relevant and well-optimized for the phrase in question...

Should I robots block site directories with primarily duplicate content?
Personally I'm a fan of don't block them via robots. Because if you do and you don't remove the URLs from index (remove the directory, Matt said here ), they still will be indexed. There was a good posting time ago at seomoz blog and you will see, your pages won't leave the index. I think, you should set these pages "noindex, follow". It worked good for me. Patrick
