Is it worth to have a DNS manage service like easydns or ultradns in terms of seo ?
Hi Paulo, I can't think of any way to objectively measure whether it would make a difference or not, however, just putting my mind to work on it, there is a small possibility that it could be included in a trust algorithm; spammers are unlikely to be paying the extra to use them. Anycast DNS may also mean your site has a better uptime rate when parts of the Internet go down or be very slightly faster but I don't think it's worth doing just from a SEO perspective.

Best Site navigation solution
The link limit is 100 suggested by matt cutts. No it's not The 100 link limit suggestion was removed a while ago, though it's is indeed best not to go wild with it. But the more pages that you link from your home page and back to your home pge the better the home page will rank. This isn't really true either. If that were the case I could just make a site with 1,000,000 pages all linking back to the homepage and expect to rank. Whereas actually the only way I'll get value to flow back up to the homepage is to attract links to these 1,000,000 pages from external sites.

Initial Crawl Questions
Good question. There are a few ways of doing it but I'd advise using a canonical URL on each page to tell the search engines where the content stems from. I had a quick look at XenoForo and this looks relatively simple to do... although make sure you test things thoroughly just in case

Long load time
To be fair, your site isn't really overly slow. www.appliance-repair-ny.com loads in an average of 3.9 seconds and is 194kb www.all-appliance-repair-ny.com loads in an average of 5.6 seconds and is 327kb www.newyorkappliancerepair.net loads in an average of 1.5 seconds and is 115kb And I think that's from Sweden. Your server is in Arizona so will be quicker from NY. You could gzip your css, but it's not going to really give you a big improvement. Yes, shared hosting will always be slower than a dedicated server but for the cost I don't think it will be worth going for a dedicated server and CDN delivery. If you really wanted to track it you could add webmaster tools and (do you not have analytics on the page?) _gaq.push(['_trackPageLoadTime']); into your Google Analytics. This would let you see what times Google thought your page was loading in. Speed is unlikely to be a defining ranking factor for you and you should concentrate your efforts more on acquiring links, reviews, and local optimisation.

Remove Deleted (but indexed) Pages Through Webmaster Tools?
The best course of action is to 301 all of the pages as: There may be some links to these pages These pages may presently be carrying some authority which would be transferred to the new pages (i.e. where the 301 resolves)

How can I get unimportant pages out of Google?
If you want to remove an entire directory, you can exclude that directory in robots.txt, then go to Google Webmaster Tools and request a URL removal. You'll have an option to remove an entire directory there.

Alt tag matching product titles - e-commerce
Best answer. But at a granular product line level, Amazon use 'product details' for all their products. Might try replicating each product title with each alt tag on one category - see how it goes.

Is a directory like this white hat? Useful?
The directories with clear prices on the home site are not as good, because even if does not result in penalties, much of the SE can identify, and take the relevance of external links. Furthermore, this is a directory PR 3, not so high to run any risk, if greater than or equal to 5, you could think about it. Another aspect is it has many links, which divides the relevance of external links, one less reason to pay for it. Hope this has helped.

.com vs .ca
Ditch the .ca - makes me just as nervous as the .us here in the States. Even though .biz and .info and .net get some traction - the country specific ones seem to be harder to rank for - and quite honestly very confusing. Better off being unique or finding an expired .com domain with some Alexa rank.

CSS for SEO - can search engine see the text in the body?
Not a function, and I didn't mean to state that you had to use PhpED to see the problem, just pointing out how I did find it. With any page loaded, on the right hand side you will see a handful of tabs, next to that is a pinkish bar that will have a Red circle, indicating that there is an issue. phped_error.jpg

Navigation Links in Footer
Footer links can definitely be used to enhance user experience and as Steven Ferrino said, "flatten out you site for Google" It is a place where you want to include a sitemap map as well as any other pages that you do not want to necessarily have on your main nav bar. As far as SEO purposes, this will not really benefit you. I can not say that it won't be of any help, but in my opinion those links are not really optimized and as always, it is better to have in body anchor text links versus bottom footer links. Best of Luck!
