How long until 301 passes juice to new site?
Ouch! Don't do that ... it hurts! (the kicking I mean) Just 3 things that ever present significant issues that I am aware of Most obvious is the time required to do it properly, which will depend how large the site is. If the page structure has changed significantly then you may need to point some redirects to a category page or something else relevant. I set up a simple excel file for the site with Old URL, Content, Category, Redirect URL, Redirect date and Check date. Once I've added the old URL and content info I then assign it to a category and Redirect URL, then use the list to set up the redirects. I generally spin through and do a manual check once the 301's are in place and use the check date column if there are a lot of pages and I need to come back and finish checking later. I would also add a 404 catch-all just in case - all 404's go to home page or another appropriate page to make sure no old links are lost. When choosing your redirect URL, think about the user and relevance - For example, if I click a link to buy an item which no longer exists, there is probably more chance I will look at another product if you send me to a store page full of products than send me to home. Have fun! Sha

How are you implementing TAGFEE?
In being transparent and holding yourself accountable, don't forget to also be generous with yourself! My teachers/coaches/ and friends have adeptly pointed out that being passionate and driven can make us our own worse critic, and then we are hardest on ourselves. In the very act of practicing generosity with yourself you become more generous and empathetic with others. It may be more difficult to practice that type of generosity than to hold yourself accountable.

Traffic Data Lag
Hi KegOutlet, This thread is over a year old, so you're having something different happen to you than what happened then. Could you send a note over to help@seomoz.org and we'll investigate? Thanks!

Failing Miserably - Should I Just Bin This Site
That's great Kieran! Chew slowly and savor your progress at it happens Just a couple of things I thought to mention in case you hadn't caught up with them yet... On-page reports in the Pro App show you the on-page elements you can improve, including things like keyword usage, amount of text etc. The trick with these is that you have to load the keywords you want to optimize for in the campaign. Don't worry if it seems to want to apply keywords to the wrong pages, just use the manual selector at top of page to choose keyword and then type in the URL you want. Not sure how the timing works for you, but there is a Weekly Welcome Webinar for Pro members every Friday morning (Seattle time). When you sign up for it on the Webinars Page there is an opportunity to tell Aaron if there are particular things you would like to learn more about. Of course, if you already knew about these things, just ignore my ramblings Have a great day, Sha

Can someone please explain how to deal with these pages
What Lucas said is correct -- both tools are saying "take a second look to make sure you do want to block these". To me, these URLs do look like the type you don't want indexed. You don't want people landing on someone else's order tracking page, or step two of the registration process, etc. Looks fine from here.

Buying a website and redirecting everything
As Joseph said, using a 301 redirect will not be tracked as a referral but instead will be direct. Taking over a company with many indexed pages can be time consuming but as he said, over time your authority and in links will be improved.

How do paid directories like thomasnet.com do so well in the serps? Aren't the Panda updates supposed to be moving us away from this?
Thanks again Ryan. Thomasnet does well in the serps, but they do so on the backs of those that pay to be in their directory. That being said, I fully understand your explanation and appreciate your clarification for me.

Link juice question
Thanks Andre, That's what i thought also, Google just ignoring the second link, so you think it's neither "leaking" link juice like with a no-follow?

Adwords Policy and SEO
Google says that what happens on AdWords doesn't affect your SEO and vice versa. As far as incoming links from other sites, no. You should check to see if Google does index these linking sites, because if they don't, then there's no link juice coming in from them at all. If they are indexed, but labeled as spammy/junk, they just won't pass any positive link juice.

Multi- language URL best practices
I think there is no easy answer as both have advantages and disadvantages. Rand discusses the different options here: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/international-seo-where-to-host-and-how-to-target-whiteboard-friday I think this is a good start, and from there you will have to make up your mind. We use fr.mydomain.com, and I am happy with the set-up, as it gives you a better URL structure with less sub folders, making the site more easily indexable.

Which backlink will be more useful?
I would definitely go for the contextual link from the most relevant page (I assume that this is a high quality page, and that it is reasonably well linked within the website). I believe not only that google will put more weight on a link like this, but it will also send you targeted visitors which should be easier to convert.

Give your opnion about our strategy
Hi Sounds like your from South Africa When it comes to targeting pages for keywords, i would avoid "cannibalising" your pages. If "goedkope vliegtickets" has a high volume of searches, then have only one page for "goedkope vliegtickets". What i mean is with "goedkope vliegtickets" you dont want to confuse google on which page you want it to display on the serps. Stick to your optimized page "goedkope vliegtickets" and let google rank that page ONLY for that particular keyword. When someone finds that page, you need to be sure you can direct them to the page they are actually looking for "location/tickets, etc When you research more keywords, you might find "goedkoopste tickets durban" this is a seperate keyword, so you are not "canabalising" if you created another page. I hope i made sense and good luck! GREG
