Hi Anthony, That's a case for the help desk. Please email them at help@seomoz.org and let them know the URL you're getting that on and what browser you're using. I haven't seen a rash of complaints coming in here or on Twitter the last few hours, so I think it may be an isolated issue. Thanks, and so sorry you're having problems.

Hi Jean, there are several tools to check rankings, or you can manually check them. Be aware that you might get different search result when manually checking them due to personalization and your location. However, if a manual check gives you nearly the same result as the SEOmoz tool does for one or two weeks ago, you can be confident that it is a bug and not a drop in your rankings. Hi Aaron, Your 301 redirect is working fine and sending all non www traffic to your www subdomain, so there is no harm to your SEO. The potential for that was explained by Ed in his reponse. Google has simply indexed your non www root domain before you put the 301 redirect in place and has not picked up the redirect and adjusted the index as yet. If you have not already done as Nico suggested and advised Google in your Webmaster Tools account which is your preferred domain, then you can do this. It is likely to enable Google to pick up the 301 more quickly, although I have heard Googlers refer to it as a "hint" which means that you should not hold your breath, or be overly concerned if you do not see a change in the results page straight away. Bing also has the same function in Webmaster Central. Sha

Google has a public cache (i.e. what you see in the search results) and it's own private cache which is used to evaluate site rankings. Although when the public cache is refreshed it more than likely updates several ranking factors, there's also crawling done behind the scenes. Backlinks can and most likely will be picked up before the public cache is refreshed. I've noticed google is getting quite fast on updating rankings and new back links can have an impact sometimes within a day or so now.

Generally, I correct the error and then wait until the next crawl if I'm confident that I've fixed the problem. If I'm unsure then I may run a manual crawl using the crawling tool, however for me the format just isn't as easy to read as the weekly crawl diagnostics.

Gotcha - Absolutely correct, I'm just getting my feet wet. My initial campaigns have already provided some valuable insights so I'll look at the other tools and determine how I will use them to move my sites forward. Thanks again Ryan

Thanks for the response dvtruong, regarding the content, we haven't got anything to put out at the moment because we want to make sure it's worthwhile before kicking it off. It'll be something loan/finance related, so the creative caps will need to come out. How did you go about finding the top bloggers in your industry? I'm sure I could round up a few, but I'd love to find more
