Google Dropped my site for certain keywords
Sometimes, if you have lots of links with the same anchor text pointing at a page, Google might suspect it is manipulation and stop counting those links. They might even whack you for it. So, if you have lots of links with "acupuncture NYC" pointing at your page, that might be the problem. Lately, there are also some people who don't have these types of links, or anything other than natural links pointing at their page, and they are seeing the same problem.

New Flurry of thousands of bad links from 3 Spammy websites. Disavow?
if you didn't build the links or earned them through good content and you don't feel they are good. Always better to just disavow them. Even more so if they are .ru sites as I am sure your site is not in Russia

How accurate is Moz Rank Tracker tool? It's showing different results than a Google incognito search.
Hi there, Thanks for the question! The answer is that Moz actually uses more robust depersonalization methods when querying for Google rankings. Our process completely strips personalization to provide a result that is more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country. You may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser even if you used incognito, because your location is factored into your search results. So, there can be a lot of variation in what different people, searching from different computers/locations, might see in the rankings. Our solution has been to run searches from a variety of IP addresses and IP blocks using non-personalized, search history/location-agnostic requests. In our experience, these have provided the most accurate results. I hope that clears up how that works!

How to safely syndicate blog posts in LinkedIn Company page
If you read Neil Patel's post he says... -- syndication can cause duplicate content issues -- syndication can result in your content on other sites outranking the same content on your site For those reasons, I would not as a habit, republish each of my articles on other websites. If I have great content I will keep it for myself - on my site only. I would use syndication only in those cases when I "have a message to get out" ... and that message is more important than having the article performing well on my own webiste. I am posting this as my opinion and practice. It's not advice. And, there might be situations when I depart from it, such as if I had an article that would produce a bigger bang on another website than on my own, only for the reason that the website that receives the article has a greater reach for that topic or a stronger tribe for that type of information.

Not showing up in Google Local Pack despite being #1 ranked for keyword
Hi Anthony, Thanks so much for answering my questions. When you wrote, "There is other groomers that have 2.4 stars and are shown on the local pack while we aren't.. I just don't get it. They are also right next to us so location isn't the problem." .... my first thought was that you might be being impacted by the Possum filter. This filter specifically has the effect of filtering out businesses that are in the same building or couple of blocks with other businesses in the same business category. However, when I do a search for "dog grooming des plaines il", your listing is not being filtered out at the automatic zoom level of the map (which would be diagnostic of this being Possum). I see you ranking in the 8th position when I click on the Google Map in the local pack and look at the Local Finder view. So, while this isn't a straight-up case of Possum, because your listing is visible but is simply ranking lower than competitors, what I do see is that you are in a location that is very densely populated with dog groomers. Google is having to choose between a whole bunch of competitors located within a very tiny area, and - for some reason - they are choosing your competitors over you. And I concur with you that the fact that you are ranking #1 organically for this term, but are not #1 in the local pack is weird. I have some specific recommendations for you, which I'll number: I recommend that you go through the exercise of doing a competitive audit between yourself and the top ranking business in the local pack. Here is a blog post of mine, including a spreadsheet, which will walk you through that process: https://moz.com/blog/basic-local-competitive-audit I just ran your business through Moz Check Listing and your citations look in great shape, with the exception of a few duplicate listings you should fix: https://moz.com/local/details/JTI1N0IlMjUyMmxvY2F0aW9uX2lkJTI1MjIlMjUzQSUyNTIyNGE1ZjJjMDAtNzE2Yi0xMWU3LTgzOWMtZjUyMzYzMTM5ZWY0JTI1MjIlMjU3RA== I highly recommend that you equip the franchisee at that location to answer the Google Q&A the business received and that they start using Google Posts on a weekly basis, as both could possibly start to bump up local rankings for this location. I recommend that you look further into populating Google Q&A with some of this location's FAQs, as well as answering public Qs that come in. Finally, I recommend you take a look at this post by Joy Hawkins from a couple of years ago regarding ranking highly organically but not in the local packs. Not sure it's applicable to your scenario, but it would be worth reading in case any of it rings a bell to you: https://searchengineland.com/rank-high-organically-not-locally-case-study-240692 Please, feel free to come back with further questions!

NO Meta description pulling through in SERP with react website - Requesting Indexing & Submitting to Google with no luck
Hi David, The Fetch and Render looked blank, but I know Google can still read the code since it picked up on the schema we added less than a week after we added it. I sent the javascript guides over to our developers, but I would still really appreciate you looking at the URL if possible. I can't find a way to DM you on here, so I've sent you a LinkedIn request. Feel free to ignore it if there's a better way to communicate JW

Rankings dropped 71% in Google and 65% on Mobile
I guess the reason of this can be the latest algo update, I read that many forum users had detected fluctuations in their ranking this week. Some are happy with the results and some are not. I'd wait for 5-7 days and see the outcome. My websites are stable so far.

Is GSC data (branded clicks + impressions) a good indicator for how well your PR activity has performed for the year?
I would definitely use it as some of the metrics as long as the traffic is coming to certain pages that might have been pushed by the PR agency. Another metric that would be good to look at is the number of new links/domains that are linking with the anchor text that is your company name. I would expect most PR agencies to focus on company names.

Redirecting Ecommerce Site
Hi Becky If you just think of it in terms of not losing any backlinks and so that the old URLs in Google Index don't 404, then they just need the most appropriate page on your new site to be 301'd to. You won't go wrong if you stick to this approach. If there is no relevant category, then go up to department, no department? go to home. Keep it simple & logical. Regards Nigel
