PPC: how to get rid of an ad appearing on a keyword we don't want?
Hi Fubra, First thing that I can recommend that you do is to go into your AdWords account, then into the campaigns, then into the tab titled 'Keywords'. Once there, click into the tab titled 'Search Terms'. Once in the 'Search Terms' tab, you should see all the keywords that triggered your ad to show. In this tab, look for the specific keyword that is unwanted. Select this keyword by clicking on the selection box on the left and you should see a bar pop up that allows you to select what you want to do with this keyword. Select the option 'Add as Negative Keyword' and that should stop the ad from triggering each time someone searches for the unwanted keywords. Pro-tip: As part of your PPC optimization process, you should also be looking in the 'Search Terms' section of your campaigns/ad groups on a regular basis to see exactly what search terms are triggering your ads to show. There's bound to be search terms that are non-converters and also irrelevant search terms. By continually adding those to your list of negative keywords, you make your PPC campaigns more cost-effective. Good luck!

Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt: Need to bother?
Hi there! What Google is telling you is that you are indexing URLs that you probably are not wanting to be indexed, or the other way around, that important pages are being blocked but indexed for other reasons. If I might ask, why did you blocked through robots.txt those files? There most 2 answers are: 1- Wanted to remove those from search results. If this is your case, you've solved only a part of the problem. What you should have done is (previously allowing robots to crawl those urls) apply noindex rules (keep in mind that can be set up in the HTTP header, as long as not html files cant have meta robots tag), then after a sufficient time block them in robots.txt. _2- Optimize how GoogleBot (crawiling) time. _Being this case, then you've done it correctly and there is nothing to worry. Hope this help. Best luck. GR

Hey there Po! We'd need the full call to the API to check on this, not the code from your app that assembles it. I would recommend sending that full call to use at help@moz.com to keep your data private. Thanks!

How to fix canonicalization so Google shows our company's website and not LinkedIn
Agreed with Kevin on the timing - give it 1+ weeks after publishing on your site to syndicate it elsewhere. Unfortunately LinkedIn doesn't offer a canonical option that I'm aware of, unlike others such as Medium who I think are offering it. As a resutl, the LinkedIn post should have a citation back to the original post. Something like this: This post was originally published on our blog at https://www.norhart.com/blog/2018/08/08/great-leadership-is-about-influence-not-authority/ - take a look here at the rest of our XYZ insights on how to be a better leader. Putting this at the end of the post is fine. Italicizing or formatting it differently is fine. Adding or tweaking a call to action on why they should go to your site and subscribe or whatever is fine. Good luck!

Competitor featuring high on SERP using automated linking
I determined myself in a similar situation some years ago. Being a amateur all that search engine optimization stuff regarded too complex for me. I attempted to make head or tail of everything for parimatch myself at the beginning, attempted specific tools and companies.

Duplicate Page Titles For Paginated Topics In Blog
Hi Ruth, I'm getting an alert in Moz Pro's analysis of my site about my Blog having duplicate content. https://pacificbeachhomes.com/blog/ It's because my blog shows 5 posts per page, so older blog posts spill over into "page 2" etc. . . and each of those pages has the same title and meta description. I read that the rel="prev" and rel="next" are not used by google anymore, and I also noticed that my site is not using it. Do you have any suggestions for my blog to avoid any duplicate content issues. maybe it's fine that the blog pages are similar?
