Hey Sebastian, Checking in here - does a penalty still seem to be applied? What have you done so far? Happy to help, once I've got an idea of where you're currently at. Best, Kristina

Local SEO penalty?
very interesting thread. Is there an update? Reviewed same and though the links stand out. Am inclined to believe as google amps up the power of GMB. It is more address proximity on map that is skewing the outcome. Lakeway is simply a little too far out of Austin.

Cant find source of redirect
A few thoughts: Install the browser extension Ayima, which will let you see if this is actually the result of multiple redirects. There are other ways to see this same info, but the Ayima extension makes it really simple to see the multiple hops, when there are. You might try to sequence the existing redirect that is in your htaccess file (A to B) all the way up, or all the way down. There is a sequence followed (most specific to most general).

My pages are being crawled, but not indexed according to Search Console
You have a very confusing and convoluted site structure. It may be preventing Google from indexing all the pages on your site. For example, when I navigate to Shop > Chakra Essential Oil Roll Ons > Hemp Hoppin Chakra Balancing Essential Roll On Oil, I land on URL 1 https://**www.**hariomhemp.com/collections/essential-oil-roll-ons/products/hemp-hoppin-balancing-essential-roll-on-oil-100mg-cbd. URL 1 redirects to URL 2 - https://hariomhemp.com/**collections**/essential-oil-roll-ons/products/hemp-hoppin-balancing-essential-roll-on-oil-100mg-cbd (without the www). That page (URL 2) canonicalizes to URL 3 - https://hariomhemp.com/products/hemp-hoppin-balancing-essential-roll-on-oil-100mg-cbd, a different one again. URL 3 - https://hariomhemp.com/products/hemp-hoppin-balancing-essential-roll-on-oil-100mg-cbd is indexable. There is a 4th URL that shows up in a site scan - https://hariomhemp.com/collections/frontpage/products/hemp-hoppin-balancing-essential-roll-on-oil-100mg-cbd. It is also canonicalized to URL 3. It is linked to from the Home page as well as the /collections/ and /collections/frontpage. The later two URLs do not appear in your site navigation. So you need to look at your site navigation again and clean up some of this confusion. That may not be the source of your problem but it's where I'd start.

Frequent Blog Content-Effective in Improving Ranking?
Hi Egol: Thanks so much for your response!! In 2018 we focused on UX, now the plan for 2019 is to improve content and build back links. After reading your answer, I am not sure about our SEO's plan for 6 blog posts per month. The topics would highly researched and pertinent for visitors, answering potential real estate questions. From what you are saying we should focus more on . developing and improving internal content. Assuming the quality of the content is excellent, how many blog posts per month are optimal? Thanks, Alan

How important is anchor text in your sitemap?
I'm a big fan of anchor text. No only for the internal linking value, but, when done properly, increases user retention and conversion by accurately describing the page to the user. IMO

Moz crawling http rather than https site
Hey, thanks for reaching out! Yes Moz will always start at the HTTP level, however that doesn't stop us from crawling HTTPS, if you have proper redirection in place. Unfortunately there isn't a way to "force" the crawler, we will crawl the entire domain (or scope that is designated). Let us know if you have further questions!

What is the best factors to increase DA PA?
Hi, For this you must increase the authority of your website. To gain authority you must first have patience, from one day to the next it is not. You can carry out a content marketing strategy so that people read and share your content through social networks, that's a good sign for google, in addition to this, you can carry out a linkbuilding strategy (get links with good authority > 30 and that is your theme and language preferably), in addition to all the above you have to have a well optimized website, both Google and your readers will appreciate it. You can also do guest blogging, that is, write articles in other relevant blogs of your theme. regards

Client has 2 locations across the street from each other, 1 of them doesn't show up in Google Maps anymore unless you type its specific branch name. Help
Dear Jaime, What you're seeing may well be the result of a filter like Possum that is causing Google to filter out the weaker of the two locations that are only a block away from one another. Particularly if zooming in causes you to be able to see that 2nd West Side business appear, I suspect a filter. I can't say without seeing the query for myself, of course, but that would be my guess based on your description. As you've mentioned, the filtered location has a weaker review signal, and it could be that it has other weaker signals, too (maybe fewer links to its landing page, less accurate citations, etc.). So, that may be all the explanation needed as to why Google is showing one West Side location over the other. You can invest the time/money in building up all signals for the filtered location, but what you can't do is guarantee to the client that Google will then unfilter the location. That's up to Google, not you and not your client, so be sure you set correct expectations surrounding this. Given that your client is multi-location, if they are worried about this scenario, I would ask them to perform an exercise. Ask them to manually search for whatever the keyword is in question from a device located at that filtered location. Given Google's bias towards searcher proximity, it may well be that customers near the filtered location are actually seeing it appear, whereas you - using a tool or a proxy - are getting a view centered in a zip code or at some other point on the map. If nearby customers are seeing the location nearest to them, then there's really no cause for concern. Hope this helps!
