Doubts with URL's structure
Hi Ricardo If you want to include district as well and district is part of the city which I think it is, then go for: www.domain.com/category-city-district I'm sorry but I still do not understand the filters you are speaking about. Do they relate to the category? Peter

Should I Use An Animated Javascript Responsive Site
Hey There Peter really gave you a great answer, but just wanted to add a few things. If you want to see things how a search engine might see theme there's a few options; <a>browseo.net</a> is an SEO browser, just plug in the URL of the sample theme for an SEO view use the web developer plugin - shut off javascript and CSS and look at the sample site. whatever you can see Google is 100% able to see. you can view Google's text only cache of a page by typing cache:http://www.example.com/sample-theme/ and click "text only" - this is very similar to the web developer plugin. if you own the site you can use something like "fetch as googlebot" within webmaster tools and examine the code it returns back. look for the text etc you want to be visible to google. Basically, of those methods fail to show you the content (text mainly) you'd want Google to see, the javascript is being used incorrectly or too heavily. -Dan

Seo Site Structure
I agree I have read somewhere that the less sub folders the better. So having your domain name, the category name and then a item name would be best practice. And of course detailed SEO friendly names and not the post numbers ect.

When I can place the Google Analytics javascript code in my web pages?
Yes good idea to add code before going live. Worth creating two views (profiles) one where you filter out the local hostname (domain) traffic and the other where you only include the live hostname traffic. This means you won't mistake testing traffic for real traffic. Let me know if you need any other help on doing that.

How can a site with two questionable inbound links outperform sites with 500-1000 links good PR?
Hi Graham A quick look at your anchor text tells me you have an over optimization issue --> http://screencast.com/t/lwzNZgEu5X The very high percentage of commercial keyword anchors linking to the site is why the site used to rank well, and now this is not helping sites anymore or even hurting them. I have seen this many times now, where sites with less authority but more "natural" anchor text perform better. There are some options; You can request these sites change the anchor text to the brand name or domain name You can disavow the links (NOT recommended unless done with a super amount of care). You can do step one AND work on building newer more natural links When Google sees those commercial anchors they know some form of link building has been done, and it gives a negative mark on the site - now sites like that have to work hard to earn Google's trust again.

What would be considered a bad ratio to determine Index Bloat?
Hi EGOL, Wow, thank you so very much. This is one of the best answers I've ever received, probably the best, here in Q & A. Your thoughtful comments and suggestions are so appreciated. Honestly, you gave me a check list of things that have potential to be pure gold for us if we act on them. Yes, you are correct, this is the site that had many issues with content being under tabs. It's also got a tremendous amount of duplicate and thin content issues, in addition to orphaned pages. Progress has been coming along, slowly and surely, but having your comments, and having them be so specific, pointed and concise are something I can take to my team and say "Here's an awesome check list of things that we can actually address right now, without re-platforming the site [you know, there are always people who think that the root of all a site's problems is the platform that it's on...pure mythology]." I hope many others find your check list useful. Combined with Annie's audit spreadsheet in Google docs, I feel like I have the tools I need to go to battle and help this site fulfill its potential. Nearly every point you mentioned struck a chord. Better yet, now that I know my way around the "guts" of this homegrown CMS, I feel like I can actually make the necessary changes. Egol, I really can't thank you enough.

Spam in search engine results for company brand name
Perhaps a competitor or hacker are trying to displace them from the search results? One of the 'spam' results has "2,427 links to this URL from the past 32 days" according to Open Site Explorer - have you checked to see if any of that anchor text is the company name? I don't have full access to Moz at the moment so can't see. http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/just-discovered?site=www.yolo2.cwsurf.de%2Findex.php%3Fpage%3DUser%26userID%3D4146%E2%80%8E
