How can I change my campaign to track *just* the main domain, but not subdomains?
Thanks, that answers my question. In the end, as I had an extra Campaign slot left over, I added another campaign for just the main domain, and renamed the original campaign "All SubDomains". So now I have 2 campaigns, which is perfect.

Is Infographic Distribution Still OK?
Hi David, Thanks for the question and I'm glad to see that you found my list of infographic sites I think that infographics can still be a good way of marketing your website and getting links, the key really is to make sure that you're not just doing an infographic for the sake of doing an infographic. To be more specific, it shouldn't just be created in order to get links. There needs to be a solid, accurate story and data behind it as well as a nice design. Too many infographics these days are thrown together very quickly and shouldn't even be infographics! These are the ones that are probably not going to help very much in terms of links or traffic. I believe that this is what partly led to Matt Cutts saying back in 2012 that Google may seek to discount links generated by infographics at some point. It sounds like you don't need to worry about this but I wanted to point it out anyway. Re your questions - I would avoid using commercial anchor text and stick to branded anchor text - this helps reduce the chance if the activity being seen as spammy and causing you problems with Google. I'd certainly recommend linking back to the original source of the infographic or the data behind it, I'd avoid linking back to commercial category pages because this can also make it look a bit spammy. In terms of how many you should distribute to, it is less about the number and more about the quality of the site. The list I provided was put together over two years ago now (I need to update it!) so I'd recommend you review the sites and make sure they're of a good quality before submitting to them. Ultimately, you want your infographic to be covered on good quality sites that have the potential to send you quality, relevant traffic. If you use this as your benchmark, it will mean that you should end up going for good quality sites. I hope that helps and best of luck with your infographic! Paddy

Affiliate links vs. seo (updated 19.02.2014)
As I said before, a 301 redirect will pass pagerank. Even if it goes to a blocked folder, that's still domain-level benefit coming into your site from "paid" links. The best solution, in my opinion, is for sites to run their affiliate program through another domain first, and 302 (temporary) redirect the user to the main site. Affiliate links to www.YourAffiliateDomain.com/?afflink-id=123, which has a domain-wide robots.txt disallow. The ?afflink-id=123 part tells the system where to redirect the user to on the primary domain. The user goes from that URL through a 302 redirect to the appropriate URL on your primary domain. No pagerank is passed and you can kill off the domain if you ever need to and those redirects will stop coming into the site. If you are unable to do all of this you can submit a disavow file for all non-compliant affiliate domains after asking them to nofollow their links. I think the limit is supposed to be 2,000 domains, but I've heard of people doing as much as 4,000 with no problem. Just give it a try and see what happens.

URL rewrite traffic drop
Hi Lynn and thanks for your input, 1. No content, only url changes. Our main focus was to get better results for queries like 'xxx phone cards' and also for spanish queries like 'Mexico tarjetas telefonicas' (before the update the spanish urls contained english words..) 2. We started the link profile cleaning and we're still working on it (removed a big amount of 'bad links', disavowed others)

Why can't I redirect 302 errors to 301's?
As far as giving them that nudge, Moz's info on redirection may come in handy. It may be that they just aren't familiar with their options. Always do everything you can to stay in the good graces of your IT people...

How to gain links to this site
I'd like input from other experienced inbound marketers on Ramonk's suggestion. Basically, since I have 15 or so backlinks, I could find two quality niche directories and get one dofollow link from both of them. I wouldn't feel comfortable with more than two. But those aren't editorial at all, so I have a lot of hesitancy about that. Same with a couple of linking root domains from niche forums. Suggestions on if these links would be helpful at all?

MOZ Custom reports error?
Hey Arnold, Thanks for writing in. The custom reports are only available in the current PDF format, and the intention is to show exactly what we are reporting in the application but with the ability to customize which sections are included in each report. It is meant to remove the work of pasting together a bunch of separate screenshots from the data we provide in the main campaign. If you would like to see a different format in the future, I would highly recommend submitting that format to our Feature Request forum here: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests which will help our product team in deciding if this would be a good new feature for the tool. As for the error you are seeing in the report, I will need more information in order to look into what may be causing that issue. If you can please let me know which campaign you are seeing the issue on so I can investigate further? If you prefer not to provide that information in this public forum, you can email us directly at help@moz.com so we can resolve the issue for you. I look forward to hearing back soon. Chiaryn

1000 of links on my website ? is it good or bad
Hi Anders, I would expect that Google would see and understand the jquery menu links. They've been able to find links in simple Jscript for several years now, and certainly jquery is one of the most common libraries out there, so I'd be surprised if they're not already all over that. MC

Redirect to get better ranking
Possibly, but as Keri says, it comes with substantial risks as well. I did a video post about this awhile back that may be worth watching: http://moz.com/blog/save-your-website-with-redirects I'd make sure your supplemental pages link appropriately to the landing page, and make any necessary on-page improvements before considering a redirect. On the other hand, if the supplemental pages don't offer unique content or mostly consist of duplicate content, it may be appropriate to redirect. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO.

Staying on top of Google - Edmonton Web
Hello Anton, The website looks great! It's good that you're ranking good for those keywords. This appears to be your brand name though. I suppose to want to rank for terms without your brand query in it. I can see you have blog posts. I can't find a page with all of your blog posts though. I can only see the last four blog posts at the bottom of the page. Perhaps you could consider adding a link to a blog hub page. Staying on top would be achieved by creating awesome content for your blog, having a good social presence and getting a lot of links and social signals. Since you have a nice portfolio and good blog posts these links will appear naturally over time. You can however speed up the process by reaching out to people who could link to you. Think about bloggers and journalists in you area who write articles on web design bureaus or local businesses. Press releases are rather outdated if i'm not mistaking. I am not sure what you mean about the guest blog posts. Do you mean summerizing several blog posts into one post and posting that on someone else's blog? I would not recommend this since the content would no longer be unique. Check out this amazing article on guest blogging right here from Moz. Tips for staying on top - You seem to have good testimonials. Do you have a Google local page? The testimonials could also be inserted here by your clients. You could still place their reviews on your site manually after this. When you finish a website for a client encourage them to spread out the word about the new website through the media and make sure the resulting articles have a link or brand mention to you. Keep blogging about relevant topics which add value to your users. Consider creating content which could easily go viral such as infographics and awesome videos. This could complement your blog posts in a good way. Make it easy for users to find you on social media channels. At this moment the buttons in your footer don't actually link to your social media profiles. They seem to just refresh the page. Make sure your website doesn't contain crawl-issues by using Google Webmaster Tools Validate your HTML. At the moment not all your pages are valid -> W3C validator test Hope i was of assistance, if you have anymore questions please let me know.
