Hi We will also have one site doing what you have suggested, but we built one local site in our city while we worked on the business plan for the rest. That site has been live for 6 months and as we used the location for google local business and verified it our local site gets about 500 unique visitors a week from the local area (for free) which gives that location more than enough business. To get the same from adwords would cost £175 a week. We wanted to replicate this covering the country. Probably worth trying to obtain relevant, high quality links to that page. Also, does appear to have a lot of keyword stuffing (guitar classes appears over 20 times on the page). The listings could probably benefit from short descriptions rather than key phrase based tags.

I agree with Paul, as far as the drops down menus are n your website using HTML and CSS then it will but if they have been built using Javascript, I am afraid not! Mostly all good wordpress themes these days are coming with a drop down menus built in CSS. Hope this helps!

Hi Thomas, Can you do me a favor and check if the "noindex, follow" tag are correct on these pages: http://www.honoluluhi5.com/oahu/honolulu-condos/ http://www.honoluluhi5.com/no-address-condo-for-sale-201403347/ I do not know programming and I want to make sure my programmers have done it right. Around March 1st we put the tag on, but then March 7th I saw an increase in pages being indexed. It puzzled me Google would index MORE pages on a date AFTER we placed the "noindex, follow" on.

Hey! You can look into the software WebMeUp for tracking rankings through projects/URLs and lots of keywords. I'm using Moz, OSE and WebMeUp for various reporting and monitoring. You may find it useful for this particular task or something else as I have. Cheers! - Patrick

Hi Paul You gave me some good advice and I have been in contact with the web design company who admitted that there server had been compromised which has affected many of there web sites sending out this spam in my direction. The list continues to grow and I know there on the case but I can also see my rankings slipping. What do I do, Hang in there or disavow ?bearing in mind there could be more sites at a later date. _Peter

if your "money page" has a theme and / or keywords users do indeed search for on search engines, then creatively working out a natural way to link more to such "money page" is a great idea. However, do not just place links that do not add user value. If you could have a little written blurb that actually makes sense like "Click here to get quotes" or something like that (try to get some anchor in once in a while too), it is a great way to manage it. However, if your "category" page is the keyword users search for on Google / Bing and where you think it is the realistic starting point to find your customers then you may wan to work on a strategy linking more to the category page. Do not link without purpose internally, but do certainly try to create a setup where it makes sense to link internally to your most valued pages. Besides your breadcrumbs do not think in terms of just creating a system, which looks like a robot has created the internal linking structure. Be creative, but don't create a poor user experience.

Thanks for the peace of mind and for a change it seems im doing something right. I suppose its ok to promote the articles on my web site through my blogger account . IE  A one line description a picture and a link to the Article.

Hi Adam, Thanks for the question! As Kimberly pointed out, you actually need to wait for your next scheduled weekly update to see the changes you've made to your site. If you don't want to wait, you can head over to the Research Tools page and use the Crawl Test tool. This will crawl any domain you'd like, up to 3k pages, and report on issues found in a csv format. Just a heads up that Crawl Tests are cached for 24 hours so you'll need to wait a bit between crawls to get updated data. Best, Sam Moz Helpster

It's been a while since I used Dreamweaver but I remember the standard link format being relative. Is it possible if I change the relative urls throughout the 50 pages on the site, that the site administrator (not me) will accidentally revert everything if he updates the site? Wondering how to explain this as being more important than his ease of maintaining the site...

Hi Kimberly, Sorry this question has gone so long without a reply: I've just been directed to it. If the internal links to /default.asp (relative links) result in a 301 redirect, taking people to www.site.com/, there is technically no problem with that set-up. It would be better if the links pointed directly to www.site.com/ as a small amount of authority is lost in a 301 redirect, but is not disastrous by any means. I am not sure that updating internal links to point to www.site.com/page.asp instead of /page.asp is the solution to the home page will solve this problem though - did you manually update the relative links to absolute links that have been fixed?
