Have Your Thoughts Changed Regarding Canonical Tag Best Practice for Pagination? - Google Ignoring rel= Next/Prev Tagging
Hi, I'm also very interested in what the new best approach for pagination would be. In a lot of webshops, option 2 is used. However, in this article the possible negative outcome of this option is described (search the article for 'Canonicalize to the first page'). In my opinion, this is particularly true for paginated blog articles, and less so for paginated results of products per category in webshops. I think the root page is the one you want to rank in the end. What you certainly don't want, is create duplicate content. Yes, your products (and of course their links to the product pages) are different for each page. And yes, there will be also more internal links pointing to the root category page, and not to the second or third results page. But if you invested time in writing content for your category, and invested time in all the other on page optimizations, these will be the same across all your result pages. So in the end, we leave it to Google and hope that they do recognize your pagination. Is this the best option? Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, we didn't know that they didn't use rel=next/prev for several years, and mostly it worked fine. So I think in the end EffectDigital is right, just do nothing. If you see problems, I would try option 2, using your first results page as canonical.

Question about audience targeting in Google Ads
Actually Rajesh, This can’t be answered definitively without knowing what the audiences are - it may or may not be possible to do at all depending on this. Doesn't help, much apologies.

Why do SEO agencies ask for access to our Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager?
GTM allows a great deal of tracking capabilities without having to use a programmer to modify your code. Better tracking equals the ability to make better decisions and determine what is and isn't work. Google Search Console keeps an eye on the "heartbeat" of your website and helps you see any issues that Google may have with the technical aspect of your website. Both free and both great tools. The better question to ask would be, "What should I do if my agency DOESN'T ask for or use these tools?" If an agency isn't tracking performance and using that data to continually improve, I'd be questioning the agency.

Multiregional / Multilingual SEO - What do you do when there is no equivalent page?
Let them land there (you don't really have a choice in that from search). But if the page really isn't relevant and there is no equivalent, think about popping a message to them telling them that you think they are in the US and that the area for the US users is here and link them there. Also give them a way to contact some sort of help. Either a Help area or an email address.

Google My Business right had side block disapeared for a brand search
Good news, it has returned without any further actions on my behalf. But I have started to receive some sales via branded search results, so I think we can all safely conclude that this is triggered by brand search CTR. Thanks for your input folks All Best Dan

Publish an article for blog before the Keyword research
If you haven't done any keyword research, your article still contains keywords - you just don't know what they are. It will make the performance of your content erratic. Even this comment which I am typing now, contains keywords which Google will be picking up on. Google doesn't know what research you have done and all strings of text contain words, which when grouped in certain ways can form keywords You'll just get traffic for slightly bizarre queries every now and then as your work will lack focus. Keyword research is something you do to target your content. It doesn't mean that content can't perform without keyword research, though - but that un-targeted performance may not bring the visitors you would wish for

Best to Include Phone Number as CTA Button in Mobile Version of B+B Web Site?
Hello Alan, The figure speaks for itself 35% of mobile traffic is more than worth the effort to get a button added to the mobile view of the site. There isn't a protocol per se, just some very simple code, a variation of an anchor tag - https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/native-hardware/click-to-call/ - your developer will be able to create a button easily enough. In addition, they will need to add a CSS @media rule - https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_mediaquery.asp

URL column of Link Explorer reports do not have the protocol (http or https)
Hey there, Thanks so much for reaching out - Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So the thing is, the reason that the URLs appear without http/https in the report is because that information isn't really relevant - meaning that a domain or URL specifically will either stem from the http or https protocol, but a domain or or URL both (typically sites switch from http to https, for example). It's actually the same in the Inbound Links tab of your campaigns and Link Explorer (not only isolated to the exports). We'll always specify root domain/subdomain etc, but not t the http or https protocol. I hope this helps to clarify but let me know if I can help with anything else!

I have an issue with hubspot's blog platform and duplicate content.
You should be able to force https under your Settings (gear in upper right) > Domains & URLs (left side navigation)> Primary Domains (under "Domains" tab) > Edit (button on right side) > [ ] Require HTTPS (make sure this box is checked.

Is SEO affected when changing from siteA.example.edu to siteB.example.edu/siteA?
Based on what I understand to be your question, no, just make sure that you have 301 redirects in place. I'd question the need to still use subdomains though
