How to market webinars to get high response rate?
It depends on your market, but we've found a few things that work well: Utilize your current customer base. We've found that customers like to hear from other customers like themselves. Meaning your customer runs the actual webinar with a topic like, "How Widget Co increased sales by over 80% with Widget Accelerator". Reach out to potential customers whose info you already have, or use remarketing to get back people who have visited certain pages on your site.

Duplicate Page Content Errors on Moz Crawl Report
Hey Andy, Thanks for reaching out! The Duplicate Content errors are actually aggregated using similar criteria as Google - that's a 95% similarity on the code level. So even if something like the title is different, if the overall code is 95% the same they will be flagged and could potentially get penalized by the Search Engines. Using third party duplicate content checkers on the URLs you provided, it does look like all but one combo meet the 95% threshold. In that one case, we may have found them to be 95% similar at the time of the crawl, but they aren't any longer so that will be reflected in the next crawl. To get more information on Duplicate Content, check out our Help Hub. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions and have a great day!

Is this a NAP inconsistency or is it fine?
Thank you for the screen shots, Ruben. At any rate, none of these things should affect NAP consistency, so fortunately, not something to be worried about.

UK website to be duplicated onto 2 ccTLD's - is this duplicate content?
Hi Guys Thanks for the quick response. Okay, having read through the links and other resources on hreflang="x" and how to implement it I have a couple of follow up questions if you don't mind. Question 1: Using http://www.abercrombiekids.com as an example which I found, the source of their homepage has many alternate links to other sub domains or ccTLD's. The idea here I presume is that it notifies the search engine where alternative versions of the same content can be found (even though that some of the content presumably is in a different language which I find strange...). So the idea of this is then for Google to index those alternate webpages but assign them to the www.google.?? search engine somehow? Question 2: In my site homepage for the .CO.UK site, I would have 1 alternate href as "x-default" (for the .co.uk domain) and then 2 alternate hrefs to the homepages of the USA site and the Australian site. And this process would change depending on which site I am looking at i.e. the USA site would set itself as the "x-default" and link to the other 2 domains as alternates - is that correct? Question 3: Finally, do I need to apply this methodology to EVERY page on all 3 sites indicating which is the default and which is alternate? Kind regards and appreciation for your feedback. Kris

Rel Canonical or Rel Alternate advice please
Hi James, Thanks for clearing that up - I don't like to assume and get anything wrong For this, you want to use rel="alternative" hreflang"nnnn". This will allow you to serve up duplicate content to different locations. Google goes into this in more detail here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en It has been introduced to help exactly this sort of problem. I hope it helps. -Andy

Would an automatic redirect to itunes affect SEO?
I'm going to endorse Andy's answer as well as adding one here. His link to Matt's video is what I would add, but I wanted to address the redirect affecting ranking. The redirect is basically ensuring that you won't show in results for mobile users. You need a page to rank to even attempt to rank. You are sending the signal now that itunes is the right page for users, so that page will rank. The redirect is most certainly impacting your performance mobile and desktop. iTunes has desktop accessible pages as well and you are pointing your authority to them. Beyond that, there haven't been studies that I know of proving this just because it's a bad user experience on top of a bad search decision.

How to redirect an url in .htaccess when "redirect 301" doesnt work
Sorry, I should have clarified. The redirect needs the full path of the image. The actual redirect would be something Ike: Redirect 301 /images/15985.jpg(.*) /images/15985.jog depending on where the image actually lives.

How do you change the 6 links under your website in Google?
Hi, There are likely to be a number of factors that play a part in this, although there is no rules from Google on how to achieve it. If there were, people would be changing them based on what they want, rather than what Google wants. It is also worth remembering that Google only show these for brand searches, so a strong brand is important. That said, if I were looking at this myself, I would include the following: Clean internal linking structure with good anchor text Correctly code your links to ensure they can be fully spidered Links to your desired pages Pages with a low bounce rate and good organic traffic that already appear in the SERPs for their desired phrase(s) Unique page content that is no duplicated anywhere else Unique and appropriate page titles and descriptions There is never any guarantee that you can influence these sitelinks or have Google guarantee a demotion, but follow a bit of best practice, and you might have some success. -Andy

Knowing audience through social share
I can help you only with twitter: https://twitter.com/search?q=""http://moz.com""&src=typd Just replace the http://moz.com with your domain. For Facebook or Linkedin I don't think you can do that, but you can find people who liked your Facebook page or who shared your Facebook posts.

Weird Back Link to my site.
All backlink analysis tools will give you a different number of links to your site. Generally, I find Moz shows the least and AHREFs shows the most. For the most complete pictures, gather link data from a variety of sources and remove duplicates.

Penguin Strategy Idea
Sorry I didn't respond sooner Gary. I really appreciate getting a recommendation from you. I guess what I was disagreeing with was the idea that starting over was what John always recommends. I possibly misinterpreted your response though. I have seen a couple of sites make fantastic recoveries from Penguin, but it's definitely not common. The majority of Penguin hit sites that I have seen are in the same boat as you where they appear to have done all of the right things but are still waiting for improvement. Very frustrating indeed.
